Not what it used to be

We've stayed at this hotel for years and the conditions are getting worse rapidly. It's been quite a while since the Yachtsman was a premier hotel, but it's been consistent until this last visit. There was mold growing in the bathroom, the dishwasher or a/c did not work, key cards hardly worked and the office was aware. They also have a list of what is needed before leaving to get your deposit back and one of the items is to start the dishwasher that didn't work. All of the outdoor pools and hot tubs were also closed. Although it's off season, the outdoor hot tubs were both filled but had closed signs. It was great weather over the visit and a hot tub on the beach was part of the reason for our trip. Truly disappointing.

Very poor communication at checkout and very poor heating in the room after telling customer service to send somebody to fix it and they did and no difference. The TV was too small and the wrong position. The bed was nearby the sliding door with no room to get out of the bed. Also, the indoor pool and hot tub was in another building and you had to use another key to get in and they never told us that so we’re standing out in the cold wondering what the heck to do. I would not recommend the state at this hotel. I definitely won’t be back.

Terrible place if hotels.com keep these kind of places I’m going to start booking from another site half of the u it didn’t even have working heat wen I asked they said they had no other rooms available and we couldn’t be refunded I had to open the oven and burn it the entire time

The room was very nice. The bed was in a superate room and there were a set of bunk beds in another little nook. It was super cute. The bathroom was loaded. Jetted tub,good lighting, exhaust fan that works better than average and the water pressure was good. Ocean front...no balcony but sliding door that opens so you can hear the waves. Walkable to restaurants,nightlife and the game rooms and shops. Great location

It was acceptable the customer service was excellent, the pictures that they show of the room on the website is not the actual picture of the room when you actually rent it. The inside pool and the hot tub was not available due to maintenance.

Office and staff were very friendly. The property is dated but maintained and clean. We were disappointed that the balcony isnt a proper balcony that you can sit on. It looks like it was removed to make to rooms a lil bigger. The view was still nice though. Our entrance door was warped and a b*tch to get open lol. The biggest problem was no hot water the morning we went to leave. We waited forever for it to warm up, but it never got hot and so we went without showers before leaving.

Thought Id try Yachtsman

The room was 74 degrees and would not get any cooler. Needs updated! A lot of noise throughout the hotel till 3am both nights we stayed. We were on the 4th floor and heard parties from the floor beneath and above us. Security never answered their phone. The tree at the top of the parking garage needs a lot of pruning as it scraped the top of my truck as I went to park. Id recommend going next door to Seaglass a much nicer updated hotel. The staff was friendly when we checked in but that's the only positive I can give

Stayed in the north tower. It was probably really nice in the 80s. It was old and run down. It was not clean. The pics make it look like there is a balcony, but there is not. It's just a railing so you can open the sliding door. There were many things that needs repaired. Would not stay here again if it was free. On a positive note, the location was perfect for MB. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
