This was a great hotel for the price and location. It was roomy, extremely clean and the kitchenette was all we needed. It had a microwave, kettle and toaster. A selection of glasses, crockery and cutlery. It had a laundry which was a little tricky to navigate. Once you knew you had to get tokens from the vending machine it was manageable. If you don’t mind not having access to human staff, this is the place for you. It is self check on which was easy enough. We declined to pay for breakfast as it was 20Euro per person with no information about the menu. Plenty of lovely cafes on the way to places of interest. Self checkout was just a matter of dropping key cards in a box.
We were fine with the shower but it was tiny if you are a bigger boned person.

Sauna advertising misleading, there was only limited sauna availability and it was needed to book unlike normal hotel where you just go to sauna on its opening hours. Having sauna was the only reason to book the locale. There is no staff support in evening, no way to contact a person in case of issues. Check in purely electronic which again is not informed before doing the hotel booking. Advice to avoid the place, there are better services available

Excellent location. Walking about 15 min on the same street to City Center. Quiet place. Very clean. The place had everything we needed for our trip, including kitchen utensils. Everything we did was via machines and we did not meet a single person. It was a bit weird but everything worked out. The check-in machine on the right did not have the letter "D" so that was a problem.

Weird, unfriendly scam

Our tourist tax was charged double and the manager didn't want to help us. We had to pay it twice or we wouldn't get into the room and no refund. Manager was very unfriendly and misanthropic. Parking was also unavailable until 3PM, although there were still lots of available spots, as only 5 rooms were booked (with a reason...). So don't book this to visit Constanz over the weekend as it won't have any use. The living room only had one one-person couch, although being a 2-people bedroom... The hotel was really arranged so that you wouldn't have any way to come into contact with anyone of the staff. The front desk is even hidden behind a fake wall, except for during breakfast hours. Feels like it's run by robots. Even other guests were laughing at how weird it feels and how terrible the management is. The phone number and doorbell stay also totally unanswered. For the rest, the rooms were clean and good looking, breakfast was also good and the breakfast staff was very friendly, but for the reasons mentioned above, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Checkin is via machine which is ok. I got there early and the machine after going through a whole 5 min ordeal tells me it’s too early and try again later—however they did have lockers so I could leave my baggage and walk around. At 3 I checked in and the room was in good shape and there is a fridge and glassware enough to make a longer stay comfortable. My bathroom was not clean; there was dried mucus on the wall, which was gross. As there is no attendant I just then an email for reference. I was so jet lagged I went to sleep. I got up the next morning to see that there was breakfast and went and had a nice little buffet style offering. I walked in and sat to eat and had a bread and coffee. When I went to refill my coffee a man appeared and told me I couldn’t eat bc my room didn’t include breakfast. That was weird and embarrassing. I apologized as he wasn’t there when I walked in. He aggressively asked what room I was in. The interaction left a bad taste in my mouth as how simple would it be to either have a sign or have an attendant?

Check-in experience shortly after 4:00p, although automated by two machines, was very difficult. During check-in, my machine crashed after taking payment but before key cards were issued, and became unusable.. Although a support number was found outside, phone support had ended at 4:00p (check-in was 3:00p-6:00a). Since no one answered, I sent an email. By trying a second machine, I finally obtained a key card at 4:45p. After going out to dinner, I received a call that my key cards wouldn’t work upon return. I was asked to re-register and assured I would not be charged twice. I WAS charged twice and ask that my second charge be refunded. Our room was stifling hot all night with no fan or AC in the room, and windows would only partially open. Luckily, the staff person added us for breakfast since we had prepaid for it. A friend who was also checking-in with me submitted a review of our frustrations. And then received a very hostile email in reply blaming us for being 'aggressive' with the machines. As each of us are 35 year career computer engineers, we rebut the accusation.

次回は長期間滞在したい。

部屋の全体デザインから、ベッドやソファー等の家具の質、電化製品は全て Philips、シャワーのお湯も暖かく出が良いなどなど、非常にこだわりのある快適なお部屋でした。一泊しかしなかったのですが、十分なキッチンもあったので、今度は数日泊まってみたいです。 一個だけ、強いて問題点をあげるとすれば、自動チェックインがわかりづらかったです。他の人たちも同様だったようで、入口を通ると呼び止められ、聞かれました。事前に予習した方がいいかも。

日本人向けではないと思います。

Konstanzの駅から歩いていける距離だったので、、住所をたよりに荷物を持って歩きました。でも通り沿いからは看板もみえなくて、ひっそり建っているので、非常にわかりにくかったです。書いてある電話番号に電話をかけても、留守電になっていて通じませんでした。周辺をぐるぐる歩いて、ようやく見つけました。 エントランスに入ろうとすると、機械でチェックインするしくみになっており、表示にしたがってすすんでいくと、カードキーがでてきました。そこまではなんとかなりましたが、建物内に入るドアの開け方がわからず、結局しばらくして通りかかった人が教えてくれました。ホテル内は、大変きれいにしてあります。お部屋も広く、ゆったりしていて、快適でした。でも人の気配がまったくなく、日本人むけではないように感じました。

Der selbst-check-in ist nicht wirklich selbsterklärend und obwohl meine Mutter und ihre Freundin noch während der Telefonzeiten angerufen hatten, konnten wir niemanden erreichen. Glücklicherweise kam irgendwann doch noch eine Mitarbeiterin aus dem Hotel und hat uns unterstützt. Wenn jemand nicht sonderlich digital versiert ist, sollte man möglichst frühzeitig einchecken. Das Zimmer war sehr schön, nur leider funktionierte die Klimaanlage nicht. Meine Mutter und ihre Freundin haben aber dafür noch tagelang vom Frühstück geschwärmt.

Beim Check-in wurde nicht aufgelistet, dass im Preis bereits das Frühstück enthalten war, so dass ich es zusätzlich gebucht hatte. Im Ausdruck des Check-ins waren keine Angaben dazu vorhanden, wie viele Frühstücke gebucht waren. Es stellte sich dann heraus, dass ich die doppelte Anzahl bezahlt hatte. Als ich um die Erstattung bat, war Kulanz von Seiten der Hotelleitung Fehlanzeige. Im Gegenteil! Es wurde stur beharrt, dass ich keine Anspruch auf Rückerstattung des Frühstücks hatte, das ich nicht eingenommen hatte. Insgesamt also eine sehr unerfreuliche Erfahrung. So etwas hatte ich bisher nicht erlebt. Das Hotel werde ich nicht noch einmal in Anspruch nehmen.

Wir waren sehr überrascht über die sehr gute Ausstattung und Qualität des Appartements. Im Vergleich zu einigen Hotels ist es außerdem angenehm ruhig. Die Tiefgarage unter der Anlage ist gut befahrbar, wenn auch eng. Wir werden das Boardinghouse gerne wieder buchen und können es nur weiter empfehlen.
