In town for wedding. When calling property, phone goes straight to vm. Cottage was decent, clean, shared balcony with others. Directions after arrival are perplexing! Shower was nice and big!

The room was very clean, comfortable and the towels were very clean, comfortable to use. However, there was only one towel bar (in the shower area) - no place to hang a used washcloth or towel except over the shower wall, on a hangar, leave on the sink, or dump on the floor. Needed to use clean towels every day . . .

The property is pretty, nice room. The beds are really rock hard. No bath. No staff to help with issue. Door to room wide open. Poorly lit pathway to car. Clean room.

Not a great welcome, but the property was nice

Location on confirmation email did not register on our GPS. We thought we were going to property and GPS took us to Raleigh. When we found property, the front desk staff was not friendly and could not find reservation by name and confirmation number. She just let us know the property was booked, then told her we misspelled our own last name. The actual suite was great and perfect for our family of 4 for the price. The refrigerator did not have the water hooked up, so we didn't have ice, but again the room was great for us. Location was very peaceful.

Will never ever use Expedia again!!! False advertising of rental properties… traveled 10 hours with my wife n kids to a property that was nowhere near the pictures on their web site… room was too small witch forced us to leave early, and Expedia refused to give me a refund… if you planning a trip deal directly with the property staff not Expedia… i pain extra for protection and still was not honored… Expedia is just like the rest of these scammers and greedy companies out there

Mixed review

We had never been at this property before. After booking on Hotels.com, we received what we thought was a welcome email which turned out to be a very abrupt release form to agree to no pets, no smoking, no responsibility for our vehicle or items while on their property. We understand all hotels require this release, just not as their initial contact to us. Upon arrival, we had to check-in at the INN, 2 miles away from our cottage. The staff at the front desk were very nice and helpful. They also providing a discount at The Mad Boar (fabulous drinks and good shrimp) . When we asked if we would be able to golf on the property, they apologetically said no. The gated community was absolutely beautiful property, grounds and golf course were extremely well kept and felt secure. The Cottage was nothing like the image, maybe we misunderstood the Suites vs Cottages. Plenty of space in the King Cottage (Hawthorne), well furnished. Our comments to the front desk was no Bar Soap and the thermostat was locked but was comfortable most of the time. Breakfast was included, we just had to go to the INN for it. Cottage had a beautiful view of the golf course …..the course we couldn’t golf at.

First time staying there, communication was very poor about how the rooms were set up/locate-able by front desk... and a wedding reception was going on downstairs we were not aware of so loud music went on into the night when my son had to get up early for a soccer tournament....

The room has a beautiful view of the golf course with a large balcony for relaxing. The room description gave the impression there was a separate living room and bedroom and that was not the case. The quality of the room was excellent but we have two small kids and wanted that separation.

Overall our stay was great. The security at entrance to River Landing could stand to be a little nicer as the check-in instructions for the Holiday Inn Express are buried in fine print. The suite was spacious, although the carpet could use cleaning and the windows don’t lock in the living space. The bed was comfortable but the headboard was barely connected to the wall and the server in the bedroom closet made a whirring noise constantly.

Enjoyed our stay!

Room and location are very nice! However, the check-in process is very confusing. You check-in at the Holiday Inn Express which is 2 miles from your room which is located in River Landing.

Large rooms. The relationship with Holiday Inn Express is terrible. Second day our keys didn’t work, car key was inside the room and we had to walk 1.8 miles each way to Holiday Inn Express to get them fixed. We finally figured out that the power was off on one wall when NO TVs worked, microwave and fridge didn’t work. Plus..Holiday Inn Express charged us when we arrived and we had to go back for refund after I checked my bank statement.
