Very slow check in. Towels had very strange smell. Could hear noise in the middle of night (not sure where the music was from). The only good thing I was the location - very close to the train and tram stations, and is well connected to Amsterdam Centraal and the airport.

I miss my home mattress

All good but the bed condition pretty bad as you sleep with the spring pop up mattress.

Clean / Convenient / New facility

Stay : Saturday May-26-2018 Reception desk: Employee are professional and polite. Very helpful. Room: We book a three-person private room. The room was supposed to accommodate 5 people, so it was spacious for us. The room is very clean. Small Downside: 1. The reception desk was busy most of the time. We arrive at around 14:00. It was very busy, but I didn't need to wait long. We check out on 11:00. The reception desk became twice as busy, there are lost of people (in groups) want to check out. Good thing is once it is your turn, the employee finish the process with a minutes. 2. The air-conditioner blow strongly and cold. I tried to adjust the temperature but it doesn't work. I tried to turn down the wind volume, somehow the button is fixed. :(

Location not bad. Room quite big and very clean.

I love their toilet as it's very big and clean. The room is quite spacious for us to open 4 big 4 small luggages. Will come back again if I'll ever return to Amsterdam.

Pleasant and simple

Location - 130m to train station; however there is no car/taxi access, you have to walk approx 100m to get to the road. Check in - fast. Room - clean, but lack many facilities ie. safe box, fridge, hot water kettle. Overall - pleasant stay

Nice budget stay

The hotel is near station and staff there are friendly. Seems to always pack with customers. Travel to Dam Square needs about 20 to 25 mins. Please note room do not have kettle and cups for hot drinks. The water flows very slowly during shower. Called the staff to check, but no action taken from them.

MEININGER Hotel Amsterdam City West

The hotel is located right next to the Sloterdijk Station and it is convenient to take the buses and trains to different parts of Amsterdam or outskirts of Amsterdam. No coffee making machine/kettle or mini fridge within the room but there is a shared kitchen at the ground floor to use.

Basis hotel maar zeer netjes en goede bedden. Check-in mag wat sneller, er stonden 4 mensen achter de receptie maar we hebben 15 minuten gewacht en zijn toen een drankje gaan doen want het duurde echt te lang!
