Hidden jewel in Devenport, Tasmania.

This is a hidden jewel. Close to restaurants. A park across the street. Great amenities. Pleasant helpful staff. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Lovely accomodation with river views. Lovely & helpful hosts. Beautiful Garden. Easy walking distance to shops and mrestaurants. Great access towalking paths. Easy car access to everywhere in north western Tasmania...stayed 3 nights & wanted more but they were fully booked....A 5 Star Accomodation @3 price.

Great location

Received a very warm welcome. Lovely location overlookingthe river andvery convenient for ferry port. Beautiful garden area. Only bad point was stairs as we had elderly mother with us. Apart from that perfect stay.

We loved that the property was separate from the main house and that it had all the amenities we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable and the kitchen had everything to be self sufficient. It was very clean and tidy.

Clean, comfortable and convenient to so much

Owners went out of their way to ensure our short stay was comfortable and the accommodation was easy walking distance to the lighthouse and restaurants. We left our small backpack in our room and the owners brought it to the ferry terminal at 7am, I rang them at 6.30am. No hesitation in helping us out. Highly recommend

Stay @ Birchwood on the River

We arrived at the Birchwood on the River to be greeted by Smiling and happy owner of the Birchwood on the River. Rex showed us through the holiday unit, way beyond our expectation. The Holiday Unit was setup in a way it felt like it was home away from home. The Holiday unit was clean fully furnished with excellent appointments, very close to town centre. Rex was very knowledgeable of the area, recommending of sites to visit. Very happy 10 out of 10 will definitely recommend family and friends to stay there. Will be booking our next holiday to stay at the Birchwood on the River. Thank you Rex for accommodating us and ensuring we were comfortable.

Pleasant Stay

We found our accommodation to be warm and friendly and our hosts could not do enough to make us feel welcome. They informed us of what to do in the local area and suggested places to eat. The rooms were very clean and we had all we needed to cater for ourselves. Our host even offered helpful advice on driving in the wintry conditions on Tasmania's roads. A very pleasant stay and would not hesitate to book it again.
