Convenient, but dirty

Convenience is what we wanted to the ski resort. That is what we got. Other then that, the room was over priced, dated and dirty.

Great location, cannot be beat. Stayed in a 1 bedroom condo with pull out couch. Lots of space, met all of our needs to cook breakfast, come back for lunch and wind down in the evening after 4 days of skiing. Only downside was the locker storage room is in a really awkward location where there wasn’t a convenient way to enter/exit the building while skiing. Had to either go through the garage door which is in the back of the building or through the actual building by taking an elevator.

Location is everything here! The condo itself was not what we saw in the photos. Expected a bunk bed set up and did not get this room. Bring your own salt/pepper. Bring ear plugs as the snow CATs start their operation at 6am sharp. Sometimes earlier!

Had money go missing both from my husbands wallet and my mothers purse , after they came to fix the toilet that wouldn’t flush. Was a great location. Downside was the groomers that woke us up at 5:30 / 6:00 am outside our room on the bunny hill . Maybe make sure maintenance only comes when you are around, and really hide your belongings just Incase.

Overall, we loved our stay. Extremely convenient location on the mountain where you can put your skis on as soon as you step out the door to glide to a chairlift. The unit we stayed in was clean and comfortable. Our unit had a double bunk bed in one room, but there was no ladder to the very high top bunk which made it a bit of a challenge to get to... fortunately, we had a young crew that handled it ok. We had arranged for 3 parking passes in advance, yet when we arrived, there were none left for us and it unfortunately took a few phone calls, even after we received warnings on our vehicles, to get it straightened out. The one big annoyance was the need to use FOB's to get in and out of the building and room. We had 6 skiers and 3 FOB's, which made it a bit of a hassle to freely come and go, and on more than one occasion, we misplaced a FOB that took searching to find. On our last night, our neighbors accidentally locked themselves out of their room and couldn't get hold of anyone.. car keys and money in their room. They even explored getting across to their balcony from ours. We never did find out if they got into their room that night. We've previously stayed in units where access to the room is controlled by a combination deadbolt that makes it so easy with nothing to misplace. With all this said, we truly did enjoy our stay at the Cornerstone and would definitely consider returning. We love Fernie and this location is hard to beat. :-)

Beautiful suite is a perfect for any season gateway: quiet, clean, spacious, perfectly sized for 4 people. Suite is equipped with almost everything you need to feel like home. Located only few minutes from the downtown. Perfect place to watch sunset! Located close to all the activities. The communication with host was super easy and quick, and the place looks exactly like it does on the pictures. I am strongly recommending to stay there!

Beautiful 2bdr suite is a perfect for any season gateway: quiet, clean, spacious and calming place, perfectly sized for 4 people. Suite is equipped with basic equipment and tools you need. Located only few minutes from Fernie downtown with most beautiful view to the mountains. Perfect place to watch sunset! Located close to all the activities. The communication was easy, and the place looks exactly like it does on the pictures. I am strongly recommending to stay there!

Very nice property, loved the in-hotel parking. Stayed in the summer, but I can imagine that the ski in and ski out would be amazing. Had a dirty shower curtian, requested a clean one that never came, but than that everything in the fully furnished was really nice. Not super modern but that was fine, has a nice rustic feel.

Our short Fernie Stay

The location is very convenient to the lift. The place still in good condition. Bed and sofa is very comfortable. The AC is working excellent considering we travel during the heat wave. Cleanliness I dont think they following the cleaning protocol. Garage opener is not working during our stay. Need to go inside first the garage and step thru the opener. I also received a spam call from the phone that day which is a little bit annoying considering you renting the space.

Great location for a ski in/ski out. Rooms were nice and quiet, well furnished. The staircases were a bit odd to get used to and we did not get to use all the amenities with Covid restrictions but would definitely stay here again.

It was disappointing. This place needs some TLC desperately. Carpets are worn and everything is dated. The worst part of it were the mice! Lots of them. We didn’t stay there too many nights but figured out the mice were there in our last night when we returned and saw them scurry. I think it was due to Covid hours, but the front desk was in another hotel and only opened until 4pm so what to do? We picked the spot for the location and amenities but in hindsight, we should have gone closer to town. Much of the amenities were closed. No zip line! Walking around the hotel, the people living around the resort were friendly but the staff were not. Most of the questions we had were answered by locals and not staff who appeared annoyed for having to be stopped and asked.

First stay at Fernie Alpine Resort- Cornerstone

We enjoyed our three night stay at the Cornerstone Lodge. We stayed in a third floor room, which was a large two bedroom, two bathroom suite. The unit was very large with extremely high ceilings. It had some updates with new flooring, but could have used some new armchairs and balcony furniture. The room was very clean (Except for the deck) and the large kitchen was well appointed. We appreciated the underground parking, A/C and the reliable wi-fi. The view from the deck was lovely. We really enjoyed exploring some of the hikes on the hill. This lodge was also a quick drive into Fernie.

Comfortable suite at the base of the mountain

Perfect two bedroom sweet for family of four. Could not be closer to the lifts. Nothing fancy but it did the trick.
