Calm and quiet environment. Our 2 bedroom cottage is absolutely beautiful. It has everything you needed. Very thoughtful in all arrangement. Lovely place to stay in. Sad that we only stayed for one night. Should stay at 2 or more nights to enjoy the tranquillity of the environment.

This place is gorgeous! The hosts are welcoming and kind, the accommodations are top rate and the surroundings are beautiful. You need to take a few narrow, Portuguese roads to get there but it is well worth that effort.

Casa do Salguerial was a fantastic place, located around 12 km from Peso da Regua, in the middle of beautiful Douro landscape. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

A very beautiful and clean house with an amazing view and a nice history ! The surroundings get very quiet at night and make for a great night of sleep. The hosts were also very kind and provided us a delicious breakfast to top it all off, it was a really great experience :)

Beautiful spot in the Duoro

Lovely property with stunning views and close to Peso do Régua. Shared areas are very well appointed and comfortable. Pool looked great but too cool to swim. Excellent value!

The property and the hosts were exceptional. We enjoyed the privacy, as well as the common areas such as the pool, the garden and the lovely homemade breakfast prepared by the owner each morning. There were limited dining walkable options but still well located and approximately 10 minutes drive from the Douro River. I highly recommend this place!

The property has been in the family for four generations.It felt like we were staying in a part of history and privileged to be able to share their home. You actually have the entire house and part of the vineyard to enjoy your stay.The hosts were gracious and attentive. We were sad to leave and wished we had booked a few nights more.

Wonderful hospitality by Jose and Elena. Beautiful tranquil setting with breathtaking views. We were served delicious breakfast by Elena every morning with fresh bread, scones, muffins…ham and cheese, figs!!! Homemade grape and fig compote were the best!! We ordered a charcuterie board and wine when we arrived and they were great! Will stay there again next chance I get😂

Very much worth the effort to get to this breathtakingly beautiful property. Our cottage was very comfortable for a family of four, with everything we needed. Our teenagers enjoyed the pool above and billiards in the lower room. The views from all around were stunning.

This was our favorite accommodation on our 25 day tour of Portugal. The property has been in the family for 4 generations. The apartment we stayed in was delightful and beautiful. We enjoyed having the spotless swimming pool to ourselves. Our hosts were amazing and so very helpful and attentive. If you ever have an opportunity to stay here I would HIGHLY recommend it!

Perfect Escape

What a hidden gem! We loved our stay in one of their two-bedroom apartments. Everything was perfect; we were in awe of the view, the landscape, the cleanliness - just perfect. The pool was delightful and everywhere we looked was picturesque. The owners were great hosts and excellent communicators. The breakfast was so plentiful with freshly squeezed orange juice, warm bread and croissants, and other yummy items. We can't wait to go back. We were so glad we chose this charming B&B.

Hidden gem

Found this place by accident, it was the nicest place we have stayed in Portugal. Do yourself a favor and stay at least 2 nights, 1 is not enough. Room comfortable, owners were very hospitable, pool area was great, but did not have time to use it. Ask for the sausage and cheese board for dinner, it will rival anything in town. Their wine was very good also, and if you stay there for dinner you don't have to worry about driving. I think this place will eventually be in the guidebooks, it was that good. About 15 minutes from Regua.
