A NW Gem

Really convenient location close to NW 21st and 23rd. Comfortable and friendly. Our only gripe is that the AC and fan were very noisy! Will surely return if the opportunity arises.

Breakfast Downgraded / Coffee worse than before

This was our third stay in this hotel. Price has increased and we noticed some upgrade in common space. However, the hotel lacked the friendliness they used to have. Breakfast was downgraded and no longer an attraction. Quality of the food is worse than when we stayed last time. Thy have introduced new coffee machine but the taste got worse. We still like the hotel but it needs improvements in service and breakfast. With higher price tag, this hotel is less value for money than it used to be. I hope we will see the improvements next time we will be in Portland.

This property was great - clean, great breakfast, helpful staff. The streetcar stops right out front and connects to other lines and buses so you can get around without a car. The parking lot is small, but easily accessible right beside the office. There are plenty of cute restaurants and convenient/grocery store that are easily walkable. The area is clean and quiet.

What’s not to love!?!! Excellent customer service-EVERYONE is so helpful. The decor is whimsical and lovely. Nice continental breakfast and the tram is just outside the door. We were here while a loved one is in the hospital and the Inn is just a few blocks away. There are plenty of nice places to eat in the neighborhood. Because there are fully equipped kitchenettes, we could eat lunch at our “home away from home.” A wonderful place in every way!

The stay was great! The area is in is so good for walking to restaurants and shopping. There’s a Trader Joe’s nearby and the full kitchen gave us the option of cooking there. The place was very cute eclectic decor and the basically studio apartment was spacious and functional. The only downside was that there isn’t a sheet tray or cheese grater in the kitchen and the continental breakfast was very lacking.

We loved staying at the Inn. The beds are really comfortable, the room was spacious and accommodated 4 people easily. And staff were very nice, informative and responsive to our questions & needs. And the access to the streetcar was sooo useful in the rain. I would definitely stay here again!

I liked that this property was so close to the Nob Hill area and dining and shopping. The hotel is unique -- more quirky than upscale -- and there is plenty of space in the rooms. The fan in the bathroom stays on unless you close the door, which was a little weird but probably keeps mildew/mold at bay.

It was near several places around the city where we could either walk, use public transportation or a quick drive to everything. The folks were welcoming and the breakfast was great to get us by in the morning. Having a small kitchen was also useful, didn’t know we needed one but it came handy.

My wife and I have stayed at The Inn at Northrup Station a number of times. The decor is fun and funky. The rooms are spacious having both a sitting area and a full kitchen. We love the location being close to 23rd (and 21st) with numerous stores and restaurants. With the cable car stop right outside the hotel, transportation (free) to downtown is easy and convenient. One area that could use an upgrade is the breakfast. It is very carb heavy with nothing cooked fresh. Even the waffle maker, which they used to have, is no longer available. However, there is a good selection of fresh fruit. Very pleasant staff. We will likely stay here again.
