Generally good with room for some improvements.

Generally all went well. Two things I would like to highlight. One is that we were guaranteed late check out at 2pm and this was further confirmed at check in. However on the last day we got a call from reception at 1pm that we had to check out and there was no late check out. We were pressed to check out despite I highlighting to them. We therefore had to rush and checkout. But eventually the staff apologised when the error was realised. The second point concerns the chairs in the restaurant where breakfast was served. Could the hotel look into have guards on the foot of the chairs as they are so noisy when you move them. Very irritating, indeed.

Excellent Spot for Peace and Quiet

Surrounded by small and great food. This place is extremely safe and comfortable. In fact, so comfortable you'd feel right at home. The restaurants around make it really easy to access international menus. Western food to Local delights. Also, the expats in this area make it really foreigner-friendly.

The staff were all very polite and helpful during our stay, apartments and and common areas were spacious with high ceiling. The hotel is located slightly away from Main Street with view to West Lake, great view every morning.

very relaxing hotel to stay in.

The gym and swimming pool was great. This is a great hotel for relaxing and just chilling out. there is not much food around the area so we need to take a taxi out. The room where I stayed the aircon was not working so the next day. The management upgrade me to a huge 2 bed apartment that has a great view... really thanks for their kindness. Upon checking out they charge me a bill from the restaurant which I wasn't me... and that kinda spoil the breakfast. They finally found the right room number to charge the bill to...it was quite stressful because it was my word against theirs and the signature was not mine on the bill. But overall it was a good experience staying at the hotel.

Great hotel and room and the fastest internet connection I have seen so far at hotels in developing countries in Asia but food is lacking quality and variety -which isn't a big deal bc you get better French food in Hanoi than in Paris

Outstanding

I booked for a one bedroom suite but request for high floor with good view of the lake. On arrival, the staff were welcoming and sincere in their warmth. The front desk told me they have upgraded me to 11th floor with great view of lake but it is a 4 bedroom suite. She suggested I try the room and could change it if I feel uncomfortable due size. Spacious and comfortable suite . Great hospitable unintrusive staff. Good breakfast spread, swimming pool , gym and garden. I will return to this hotel esp with my family on holidays in future. Best I stayed in Vietnam thus far.

A week in Hanoi in luxury style

I stayed in Elegant Suites for a week. The hotel is excellent. Rooms are spacious and beautiful. The view from the higher floors of the lake is fantastic. The pool and gym facilities are great. The hotel is away from the Hanoi city center, but it is a short cheap taxi ride away. I prefered to be away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. When taking a taxi, ask the front desk to order you a Mai Linh (pronounced May Ling). They are the honest taxi company.

Nice hotel but Mosquito hell

Hotel was nice and clean but staff spoke very little English which made it very difficult to navigate. Worst issue was the Mosquitos. They were everywhere. It was safer to stand outside than anywhere in the hotel. 21 bites in one day. The cafeteria was swarming with them.

Shock experience

The first day was good but the third day was terrible as we requested towel, slipper and bin when going out for our dinner. Once we are back one of the hotel staff called us and passed the bin to us and said these items were requested by you and she expect us to bring up to our room. Didn't expect a five star hotel will ask guest to bring requested items by our own. We did bring up and I was very angry and decided to write an email to them and they apologies during the next day.

To the management staff of the Elegant Suites Westlake, Our 2 night‘s stay of January 31, 2025 and February 2, 2025 was most enjoyable. It was the warm reception of the guest Relations receptionist, Mr. Thanh that really made the 4 of us feel so very welcomed that made the hotel most inviting. It was truly a five star welcoming which we were all very impressed about through his thorough communications and professionalism as he walked us through the hotel and room briefings. He was also very committed to making our stay a 5 star experience which he succeeded in doing. The hotel gym was of the best I’ve had workouts at in a hotel. We would also like to recognize Jeny Tran’s work and follow through in the arranging of our airport, transportation, and transportation to Ha Long Bay. The communications and follow through were beyond expectations.
