Spacious home with superb view!

We stayed at Crow’s Nest for two nights. I really love this home! The balcony and the master bedroom offer an incredible view! You can enjoy starry night sky too if you’re lucky enough. The house is really comfortable and adequately heated. I love all the decorations put up by the owner! And all the small details too, including the folder of recommended things to do and place go eat in Nelson! Kitchen is adequately equipped with all you need for cooking. Check in and out is hassle free too! Thank you for the hospitality! We really enjoyed our stay there!

Inflexible and unreasonable tactic

I was due to stay at the property but as the weather condition had cancelled my ferry from wellington, i tried in vain to contact them but they did not bother to respond. Under such unforeseen circumstances, i feel it is only right that they allow my cancellation or reschedule. Extremely disappointed as i feel they have taken advantage of the situation. For the record the place is not fully booked so the reason cannot be that i denied them lost business.

Loved it, the owners even turned on beautiful weather for us! It was heavenly sitting outside in the sunshine with a wine, smelling the perfume from the flowers and admiring the view. So cleverly designed for privacy. Appreciated the little touches such as the binoculars and cushions. My partner would like to give special mention to the shower layout, you can turn the shower on without getting wet!!!

Fantastic apartment, everything you could ask for. Unbelievable views through the huge picture window in the living room. Fantastic bedroom with even more views and the bathroom was very roomy and well set out. We loved our stay and would highly recommend to anyone.

Amazing location and hosts but needing an upgrade

The Wheelhouse Inn has an amazing location and amazing views towards the sea. There are a lot of thoughtful touches and the apartment is well-equipped. The love and care of the owners can be seen in everything. Also had a few chats with Ralph who is absolutely charming and willing to help in anyway. The cons: It's as well maintained and clean as an older apartment can but still it smells old, it looks old, it feels old. Also the beds were very worn, soggy and wobbly. Also missing a dishwasher which meant that to be on the safe side you needed to wash everything before using it (previously guests wash in a hurry on a check out day). It was nice but not luxury as it's branded and for the price it would need a complete upgrade. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice and extremely well-run and well-maintained place with lovely hosts! Just a bit disappointed with the high expectations from the raving reviews and highish price.
