The location the view from the room, and how walkable it was to the town center, banana boat, and the lost spring were all great! The property was very clean. The owner was super nice and easy to talk to as well. Overall experience was great!

This place was redone very well. Extremely clean and well kept. The views are amazing with floor to ceiling windows right across from the bay. And the staff were wonderful. Highly recommend.

The place overall was very nice. We were in room 5 which had a view but only when I looked sideways to the sea. The layout of the place was odd with the bathroom hard to reach from the bedrooms. There were no closets in the bedrooms and only one dresser in the second bedroom. I paid for a stunning sea view and the view from this place was meh.

Room with a view

Great view of water from our little balcony, easy access to beach, able to walk to restaurants and the tiny downtown area. A 30-minute drive time Hahei and Hot Water Beach. Room had NO drawers for clothes only a small closet which was a problem to unpack as we spent 3 night there. Fan but no a/c. Staff very friendly. Easy parking.

Comfortable, clean and cozy

I was truly impressed with the room and how comfortable it was. I only stayed one night but it was by far the nicest room I’ve stayed in on my three week journey.

Alan was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is on the water. I had a two bedroom unit. Two minutes walking to town. Convenient store and fish and chips 50 meters away. All good.

Great location for view but tradeoff it is on a main road and the waves from sea can make it noisier for sleeping than some other places. The freezer door in fridge was broken so our frozen ice lollies all melted and were wasted. Room 7 needs a new fridge. barbeque was rusty and not suitable for cooking. needs a clean or brush. Finally there was a heafty 3.5% surprise credit card fee. Much higher than any other charge in NZ. No warning ir advance notice on hotels.com to seek alternative payment option.

Great location with remodeled apartment!

Loved our stay! Beautiful area with an amazing sail with Boom Sailing! Great coffee & pastry around the corner from Waterfront! Our view was spectacular & I found the cutest rain boots that I know I would never find in the states! Can’t wait to wear them!!!

Great location

We stayed here for 2 days near the end of our trip. Location is great- just across from a lovely beach, close walking distance to town and the ferry landing. Nearby activities: LOVED trip to Cathedral Cove, also liked Lost Spring hot pools. The hotel; checkin- easy as we arrived during office hours room- clean, great porch/balcony with huge windows that open, good bathroom, we were unable to get cooktop to work, very small fridge, bed clean but a bit soft, fairly quiet service- they did not clean our room while we were there checkout- procedure was not clearly spelled out in instructions. As we were leaving in early morning we had to ring bell to wake the proprietor. Overall would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, price, and perfect location to enjoy Whitianga area.
