Comforts include a Select Comfort bed and premium bedding, and guests will also find conveniences, such as 2 bathrooms and a washer/dryer.
Ancora Punta Mita offers 23 air-conditioned accommodations with washers/dryers and coffee/tea makers. This individually decorated and furnished accommodation includes desks and dining tables. Very clean and super friendly staff. The location was perfect because it was a few steps to the beach. The hotel’s restaurants were so good and at a decent price!! Really recommend!!!

Great stay at Ancora!

We really enjoyed staying at this property! We were greeted by the friendly, Carlos, who helped us before and during our stay with a restaurant reservation, suggestions and new towels. The location relative to Punta de Mita was great: water view with easy walking access to all restaurants and activities but not in the center of it all, so it was quiet at night. There were 2 full bathrooms and the king bed was of memory foam and very comfortable. I'd highly recommend staying here!

The Ancora is still adding finishing touches to the property as it is a new hotel. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The Ancora is also close to restaurants and public beach. Some of the people in my group enjoyed the surfing near by.

The rooftop patio and pool was relaxing and wonderful for watching the sunrise, sunset and view of the entire bay. At low tide, the beach to the left was sandy and walkable for at least an hour or two out and back. Excursions to the the Marietta’s Islands departed from the moorings right out front.

Property is completely relaxing in the condo or common areas. Rooms are upscale even to USA standards. Aja Barbecue restaurant is delicious…brisket is awesome with beans, corn bread, slaw and banana pudding. Property also has coffee shop, steak house and Rip Curl Company store…LOVE IT!!!!

This was our first visit to Punta de Mita. We are so happy we chose Ancora, it was perfect! The space was fabulous, we loved our deck & the rooftop infinity pool & view from the amazing restaurant! We had an ocean view but it wasn’t exactly a swimming beach. It was full of fishing and tour boats. When looking down from our balcony we saw what appeared to be a homeless encampment complete with someone passed out on the bare dirt beside a filthy toilet. We also were left without power from around 5:00 pm until sometime in the middle of the night. The hotel offered us a late check out. Well they won’t let me disclose how much Canadian for 2 nights but you could buy about 320 coffees and donuts at timmes! To be fair the room was really nice and my wife loved the rooftop pool. But a late check out? Really???

Everything was perfect about this property. Clean and new with all of the amenities one would need for a long or short term stay. The building does have a parking garage, which wasn’t advertised on Expedia. The restaurant upstairs on the rooftop is a steak house and is going to be a bit more expensive than the neighboring restaurants. Bit the staff was very attentive and ensured we had everything we wanted.

From booking to check out our experience with Ancora Punta Mita was exceptional. The concierge staff checked in with us a week prior to arrival to see if we had any questions and to confirm our arrival time. Throughout our stay they assisted in making reservations for us, making recommendations on places to visit and arranged a driver to take us to the airport - Thank you Lety and Carlos for taking such goood care of us! The Ancora is wonderfully located on the water at the marina. From sunrise to sunset there is a lot of activity as fishing boats and tour excursions come and go. You can sit and watch front row from your balcony as the boats and the sea birds provide entertainment. Also located on the Main Street, Ancora is within easy walking to at least 20 fine restaurants, all on the beachfront. Our favourite was the Hoja Santa which sits on the rooftop of the Ancora beside the pool. The food and service was top of the line. Breakfast is served at Mr Cream on the lobby level again with the wonderful marina view. Our suite was very well equipped, very clean and very private. All in all, one of the most memorable vacation venues we have stayed at. Cannot say enough about the friendly and helpful staff at the Ancora. Highly recommended!

I enjoyed the view from the room. The staff were accommodating and helpful. Property was convenient at location once arrived however, far from the airport. Surfing was available however, a lot of rocks and my son received a couple of cuts on his foot and hand unfortunately. I didn't like that there was no food (breakfast, lunch or dinner included). No meal plan available.

We very much enjoyed the Ancora . The only concern was there is a dog chained up outside next to property and never seen anyone there . His chain was tangled and could barely move for days . We brought it up to the front desk , so hopefully something is being done about it .

Ancora 10/10!

Ancora is awesome! They just opened so we were a bit worried that they might not be ready for guests but they were and we felt so welcomed. The location is perfect - rooms have great views of the ocean and the rooftop pool and bar is next level with great views of the ocean. It’s easy to scope out whether or not the waves are good, and if they are it’s just a quick walk to the two main surf spots in Punta Mita. The room is huge and has two bathrooms, a kitchen, and great amenities. We can’t wait to come back.
