Welcome to your favorite place to stay while vacationing in the Black Hills! Grand Lookout Lodge is located in a perfect spot to enjoy everything the Black Hills has to offer! Within 15 minutes to Deadwood, across the highway from Recreational springs - which has access points to snowmobile and ATV trails with ability to unload toys at the property and ride to the trails, a short 5 minute drive to Spearfish Canyon, 5 miles to Terry Peak, and within a mile to the base of Deer Mountain. You'll be enjoying your vacation in no time from this centrally located property!

You'll have for your stay a beautiful 3000 sq. ft. cabin, 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, 3 separate floors for your group to spread out, satellite TV, a pool table for those nights in with your comrades, a jacuzzi tub and covered hot tub! You'll also get to enjoy IPod accessible outdoor speakers while you sit in the hot tub after a long day of fun on the trails! The master bedroom on the main floor includes a Tempurpedic king bed, two upper level bedrooms have a king bed in one and two bunk beds in the other, the lower level bedroom has another king bed and there's also a pull out for added space. With all these amenities, you'll never want to leave and come back for more every year!

Don't forget about your easy access to the central Black Hills where you can enjoy Mount Rushmore, Hill City, and Keystone within an hour drive! Grand Lookout Lodge is the perfect place for your friends and family to enjoy on your trip to the Black Hills! The cabin is also next to our other properties - Lynx Lodge, Grand Lookout Lodge, Dancing Pines, and Timber Bark Lodge for larger groups needing multiple cabins. Grand Lookout Lodge Review

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second time using Blackwills Adventure Lodging and they are wonderful. Except.... this time our rental was not up to the quality that we had previous experienced. Here's a list of issues:1. The grade up to the house is extemely steep. You need ot warn anyone that is hauling UTV's that the grade is impassable.2. The number for the house was buried in grass. We arrived in the dark and it took us an hour to find the house.3. The refrigerator froze all food that was halfway back.4. None of the remotes worked. Had to change batteries in all of them.5. 2 out of the 4 TV's did not work.6. Fireplace did not work7. Chairs around the dining room table are in really bad condition. Thought we were going to lose some peole to the floor.8. Carpet in the bedroom as major wrinkles in it. Trip hazard.9. Deck railing needs to be replaced. It is rotted in several areas.

Great Holiday Family Cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed here for Thanksgiving with 6 adults and two kids under 10. Everyone one enjoyed it. Friends and trail riding

The location was perfect for trail riding. We trailered four side by sides and found room to park everything at the property. The set up of the house was perfect for our group. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Some minor issues with the house. Broken door handle, not near enough chairs out on the decks and most of the chairs there were in disrepair. Not enough trash bags, paper towels, etc. These issues can all easily be fixed though. We all enjoyed our trip and would return.

Great place for family

The house was wonderful…air conditioning was very helpful! It was a very hot weekend…kids loved the Xbox , pool table and hot tub…played cards and baked cookies…brought our telescope and the view of the stars from the deck was amazing…good memories for sure! Thanks for sharing your home!

Great proximity to downtown Deadwood and surrounding scenic attractions. Lots of room to spread out even for 9 men with motorcycle gear. Parking for two trucks and trailers with room to pull in with 9 large motorcycles. There are som slight rough edges to the house, but nothing that would stop me from coming back. Great communications from the property manager.

Great for family

Overall good value. Nice kitchen with plenty’s of dishes, pots/pans for our group of 10. Cleanliness less than expected - visible debris on floors and carpet. Did not use hot tub due to debris.

Great getaway!

Overall, a great cabin! Loved the location. Very close to the nearby city of deadwood, and only an hour drive to Mt.Rushmore. Great UTV rental place at the end of the street across hwy. Sat on the deck every morning to drink our coffee. Large dining room table was great for meals and games. With 3 levels, we were each able to have our own floor for sleeping which we loved. Cabin could use a few repairs. Kitchen faucet was in bad shape and 2 of the sliding shades on the patio doors would not go up or down. None of the toilets or bathroom mirrors looked as if they had been cleaned and a few utensils in the kitchen had dried food on them. Comforter in master bedroom was not clean. Despite this, we very much enjoyed this cabin and would definitely stay here again.

In the Trees

The location of the property is very easy to get to and a beautiful, relaxing spot especially with the wraparound deck with lots of living space to spread out in. If you need a place to kick-back and regenerate, consider Grand Lookout Lodge. Our stay took place during the summer so snow was not an issue. Our grandkids enjoyed the bunk beds and the wide open spaces to explore.

If you’re looking for luxury, this one misses the mark. The overall feel is that the owner hasn’t been around to do maintenance in a long time. Sad, because they could fix most of the issues in a long weekend. There’s a highchair and other infant things there, but the deck railings and the open stair risers both fail to meet 4” building code. They have gaps big enough for even older kids to fall through. Two faucets are broken - kitchen and powder room. Drip edge damage on the roof. Lighting issues. Broken chairs. Broken screens. Broken window shades. No house number at the road. The Wi-Fi was terrible, and the Wi-Fi device mentioned that the allowed data for the month had been used up long ago. The regular cleaning is fine, but you can tell the monthly deep cleaning isn't being done well. We didn’t try out the hot tub. Overall, a potentially nice property with poor execution.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my second time renting this cabin. Overall I love the cabin and was perfect for the group I was with. The only downfall is it was very slick outside the garage door, having ice melt available would’ve been nice. You could tell that not much shoveling was done by the doors either. The upstairs king bedroom also has no working lights in it.

Snowmobile weekend for the parents

This property is located in a picturesque neighborhood just steps from where we rented our snowmobiles, which made things super easy. It is nestled on top of the hill amongst the trees and is beautiful! Overall I nice place for us to stay. Please know that you need 4 wheel/all wheel drive to get up the drive, this posed problems with one of our vehicles and we needed to find some place to park it. We had several rooms without functioning electricity, not sure if it was the light bulbs or switch. One bath had a faucet that wasn’t functioning well, just a trickle came out. overall this was a nice place and would stay again

Perfect for group of 12!

Pros: Perfect size for 12. Plenty of beds. Big dining table. Great location. Upstairs never got too hot. Fully stocked kitchen. Plenty of towels and pillows. Beds were actually comfortable. Cons: Some bathroom hand soaps were all water. Some bathroom shampoo dispensers were empty. Some bedding was worn and torn or looked dirty.
