Welcome to your favorite place to stay while vacationing in the Black Hills! Grand Lookout Lodge is located in a perfect spot to enjoy everything the Black Hills has to offer! Within 15 minutes to Deadwood, across the highway from Recreational springs - which has access points to snowmobile and ATV trails with ability to unload toys at the property and ride to the trails, a short 5 minute drive to Spearfish Canyon, 5 miles to Terry Peak, and within a mile to the base of Deer Mountain. You'll be enjoying your vacation in no time from this centrally located property!

You'll have for your stay a beautiful 3000 sq. ft. cabin, 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, 3 separate floors for your group to spread out, satellite TV, a pool table for those nights in with your comrades, a jacuzzi tub and covered hot tub! You'll also get to enjoy IPod accessible outdoor speakers while you sit in the hot tub after a long day of fun on the trails! The master bedroom on the main floor includes a Tempurpedic king bed, two upper level bedrooms have a king bed in one and two bunk beds in the other, the lower level bedroom has another king bed and there's also a pull out for added space. With all these amenities, you'll never want to leave and come back for more every year!

Don't forget about your easy access to the central Black Hills where you can enjoy Mount Rushmore, Hill City, and Keystone within an hour drive! Grand Lookout Lodge is the perfect place for your friends and family to enjoy on your trip to the Black Hills! The cabin is also next to our other properties - Lynx Lodge, Grand Lookout Lodge, Dancing Pines, and Timber Bark Lodge for larger groups needing multiple cabins. Relaxing stay

The rental was absolutely perfect for our family of seven! Everyone had plenty of room and the cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed, or forgot!! We were close to the trails for UTV riding and golf! Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone! Thanks for making our stay so comfortable!!!

Sadly, in October of 2024, the owner of this house was told that the fireplace and tv’s don’t work and the dining room chairs need to be replaced. Stayed there in July, 2025 and it was still the same. I can’t recommend this home.There were food crumbs in the kitchen drawers and the dishwasher doesn’t work. It’s a shame because the house is pretty and the area is beautiful.

Great Home for Families

We stayed at Grand View Lodge with two families of adults and kids and the home was amazing for a latge family trip. Nice kitchen, fully stocked with utensils, plates, etc. So many towels for showers and the large hot tub. Washer/dryer are HUGE, which was great for mid-trip laundry.The bedrooms are spacious and many areas for people to hang out. Very clean and well organized home. We had deer that came up to the home each morning and roads were quiet to go on walks around the area and explore.Management company is very responsive and detailed with information. The home does kot have Wifi, but did have a Verizon hot spot that we could use. We were outside a lot, so it was a great excuse to get kids off technology and play games or be outdoors.

Property was great. House was well stocked and location was good. Would recommend putting a house binder together for information about the house. We couldnt right away find the fireplace on/off switched. No wifi but there was a Verizon hot spot I found only because someone mentioned it on a review.Main complaint is in regards to the main host Budi. We ended up talking to Brent the alternative host and Paula from the lodging office more and they were fantastic. Budi did not respond to texts timely and when she did she was not helpful. I also messaged her prior to the trip asking if there were fans, pack and plays and high chairs at the house. She said no. Got there and found all of the above in the house for use. Traveling with 12 people- including 6 kids it would have been nice to not have to bring all that extra stuff along. The huge issue we had was a safety concern. The 2nd night there the upstairs bedrooms lost power. We found the breaker box and there was water leaking INTO the electrical box and fried the fuses. When we contacted her and she finally responded about this she was not helpfil and rude about the whole situation. She refused to come to the house to look at things because "I'm not an electrician what am I going to do". When I raised the concern of this being an emergent situation she said "then I'm telling you to leave. Deadwood has hotels." Brent actually gave suggestions and checked in on us the next day. Never head from Budi again the whole trip.

Perfect Getaway

Our family of six had a wonderful time and loved the amenities, pool table, hot tub, comfortable beds and spaciousness of the cabin. Feels very secluded and is close to Terry Peak which is why we went but also next to snowmobile trails and local towns. Would definitely go again!

Nice location to get right on the trails. Driveway was a little tricky with our snowmobile trailers but couldn’t beat the location and views

Great place for family

The house was wonderful…air conditioning was very helpful! It was a very hot weekend…kids loved the Xbox , pool table and hot tub…played cards and baked cookies…brought our telescope and the view of the stars from the deck was amazing…good memories for sure! Thanks for sharing your home!

Black Hills Adventure

We enjoyed our stay very much! We found everything clean and in order. The communications from Budi were timely and helpful. The location was very easy to find and in good proximity to our many points of interest! A very enjoyable experience!

In the Trees

The location of the property is very easy to get to and a beautiful, relaxing spot especially with the wraparound deck with lots of living space to spread out in. If you need a place to kick-back and regenerate, consider Grand Lookout Lodge. Our stay took place during the summer so snow was not an issue. Our grandkids enjoyed the bunk beds and the wide open spaces to explore.

Great for family

Overall good value. Nice kitchen with plenty’s of dishes, pots/pans for our group of 10. Cleanliness less than expected - visible debris on floors and carpet. Did not use hot tub due to debris.

Perfect location for a large groups

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It is a beautiful house with a very good floor plan, quiet area, good experience.Need new kitchen utensils and some maintenance and cleaning work.

Great proximity to downtown Deadwood and surrounding scenic attractions. Lots of room to spread out even for 9 men with motorcycle gear. Parking for two trucks and trailers with room to pull in with 9 large motorcycles. There are som slight rough edges to the house, but nothing that would stop me from coming back. Great communications from the property manager.

Awesome for a group!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place was perfect for our group of 9. It was clean and had everything needed and more. Management was responsive to questions. The only downside, if you call it that, was the poor internet. Although great to disconnect, hard to map out to the next destination and track kids when they went out on their own.

Perfect for group of 12!

Pros: Perfect size for 12. Plenty of beds. Big dining table. Great location. Upstairs never got too hot. Fully stocked kitchen. Plenty of towels and pillows. Beds were actually comfortable. Cons: Some bathroom hand soaps were all water. Some bathroom shampoo dispensers were empty. Some bedding was worn and torn or looked dirty.

Cleaning

Paid a cleaning fee but also required to clean before we left. Who wants to make sure a place is spotless before she leaves when on vaca from their family? Made the check out process stressful
