Candlewood Lakefront-Exclusive- Ideal Vacation

Our secluded and quietly comfortable home is located on Candlewood Lake, just north of Danbury Bay. A western exposure with large windows and direct access to the water offers a beautiful view of the lake in every season. The property includes a private dock, private beach, boathouse, extensive lawn, large deck and ample private parking. Four bedrooms and a media/guest room allow for comfortable sleeping for up to ten individuals. The large living room, with cathedral ceilings and upright piano provides a relaxing source of endless entertainment. The media/guest room, located at the end of the spiral staircase, is equipped with cable television and wireless internet throughout the house.
We offer monthly and weekly rates, pets are considered on a case by case basis.

Family Holiday

Tom is an excellent host. Prompt, friendly and accommodating. The location of the property is excellent and the lake access was wonderful.

Lovely house

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything in the listing was accurate. The property is on a hill so the view is lovely. However, it is difficult for people with limited mobility to go down to the water. We really appreciated the responsive owner, the cleanliness, wood pile, and grill.

Great spot with everything you need!

This was a great property for our family getaway. The kids loved the large yard and easy access to the lake. There is an easy, shallow walk in and a dock that allows for jumping in. There was an ample deck and great views of the lake from the house. There are toys, games and lake supplies already in stock and plenty of seating. Tom was very responsive with any needs we had. A great spot all around.

Absolutely amazing!

Everything was perfect! The property is amazing and fully stocked with everything anyone would possibly need for vacation. The house is so cool and unique. My kids loved all the musical instruments so much so that they may even sign up for more music classes. Thank you to the host who was really responsive and accommodating . I’ve stayed at a lot of VRBO properties but this hands down was one of the best!

Fantastic Property

We are a family of 6 adults and one grandchild. This property had enough room for everyone and was perfect for our family get away. The house had so many amenities, a boat dock, canoe, kayak, life vests, beach toys, so many outside places to sit as well. We enjoyed the entire property. Thomas was so great, so quick to respond to any request, we could not ask for a better host. We would definitely book this property again. The location of this property was amazing as well. So close to anything you may need. A true find.

House on the Lake

The home was as advertised. The property is big with huge dock on the lake. The house had a kayak and canoe. Candlewood lake is an awesome place. There is a rope swing and jumping rock right across the lake. Plenty of room in the house with three bathrooms and updated kitchen. House is fully equipped. It was perfect for a family vacation on the lake. Thanks again Tom.

Stunning Lakefront

The photos don’t do the property justice. It is far nicer than it shows. The view looking out over the lake to the hills on the opposite side are amazing and with a sunset, what a lovely way to end each evening. Three families w/ children fit comfortably and the three full bathrooms came in very handy. House is equipped with all essentials needed for a great vacation. We took full advantage of the grill for all our dinners( choice of gas or charcoal)Tom met us upon arrival to give us a tour and encouraged us to call if we had any questions at all. He was a very gracious host - Would definitely think of a return trip !

Amazing Candlewood Lake retreat

We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at this home on Candlewood Lake. The house is more spacious than it appears in the pictures. The master bathroom suite in particular was unusually large for a rental home. The yard is great for lawn games (Tom supplies many himself) and the gradual decline down to the water's edge is a lot easier to manage than some houses on the lake. The location itself is perfect ... feels very secluded (we liked that there were only trees across the inlet from us), but yet you're only minutes away from everything you might need on Federal Road. Tom is extremely responsive and accommodating ... he answers texts usually within a couple minutes. However, the house is so well stocked it really has everything you'd need. Highly recommend!!

Lakeside Home

The home was a great find for our family vacation with anywhere from 2 - 8 people, and a small dogs. Walking down to the dock and the small beach on the property was enjoyed several times throughout the day. The property was a 5-10 minute drive to all of the stores that were necessary for our supplies.

Great Lake Retreat for a Chill Family Vacation

This location was ideal for our lake vacation. With some local family and some out-of-towners, this house allowed us to hang out together, play in the yard, hop on the boat and zip around the water. The house has a relaxed, lived-in feel with the eclectic decor and abundance of furniture. We noticed that some of the outdoor furniture could use repair, and some rooms inside were a little less kempt than others, but in a way, that lent itself to the casual feel. We opted to use the kayak and canoe, along with some floats we brought, so we enjoyed our time down at the water as well as throughout the house and yard. Because of the convenient location, ample space, beautiful views, and excellent company, we all had a wonderful week. Tom is a great host and was very responsive and available to us before, during and after our visit. We even left a phone charger there and Tom personally dropped it off at my in-law's home. We would love to stay at this house again next time we all collect in Danbury!

A great stay cation vacation

This was a great location, perfect for a few families to share. Everything we needed to make our staying enjoyable was provided. Dishes, pans, toilet papers, a gas for the gril, wood for a fire pit, chairs, tables, umbrellas by the lake, and more. The property is really family friendly. A nice shallow walk in beach for the children, a large grass area, a perfect deck for fishing and water toys, meaning a jet ski or a boat. The place feels so serene, even though it’s very conveniently located not too far from the stores. The owner, Tom, is very pleasant and professional. We are considering to go back next year too!

Repeat renters

We are repeat renters for the last four years. The property is gorgeous and the home spacious. The updated kitchen and master bath are well equipped. It's nice to come with nothing but our special items that we like; everything else is already there. The owners are very open to suggestions and try to make our stay very comfortable.
