In the Eastern Pyrenees of Girona, we offer a detached house that can accommodate up to 6 people: Your vacation home is part of the recently restored Castellar Rectory. This historic building is attached to the 11th-century Romanesque Church of Santa María de Castellar and harmoniously blends its history and surroundings with the comforts of a modern home.
The owners live in the other half of the Rectory and are always available to assist you.
The rental home has a total area of 106 m² and is laid out such that, upon entering the first floor, you’ll find a cozy living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen-dining area, and a double bedroom with an en suite bathroom. The second floor features two bedrooms and a spacious bathroom.
Your vacation home is equipped with central heating, a wood-burning fireplace, satellite TV, a DVD player, and a fully equipped kitchen (butane gas stove and oven, range hood, refrigerator, and dishwasher) with all necessary utensils; the bedrooms and bathrooms are fully stocked with all necessary linens (sheets, blankets, comforters) and towels; a washing machine is available on the first floor.
The adjoining garden, covering an area of more than 500 m², features a large shaded area for protection from the sun and is equipped with a table, chairs, lounge chairs, a 7 x 3.5 m pool, a garden shower, and a barbecue; next to it is the vegetable garden, whose produce we use to treat our guests.
Basic necessities can be purchased at the owners’ home.
The Garrotxa region borders France to the north and is located about 50 km from the coast; the climate is typical of the Mediterranean coast, with dry winters and hot summers; however, Castellar faces the sea and enjoys milder temperatures in both summer and winter than, for example, the nearby city of Olot.
