Archer is a classic oceanfront beach cottage, great for a laid back family vacation. This townhouse has 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, 2 oceanfront decks, and covered parking. The first floor has a guest bedroom with a queen bed, flat screen TV, and a full bathroom with access to the bedroom and the hallway. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need for a dinner in with the family! There is bar seating for 4 at the kitchen counter, and a dining room table for 4 near the oceanfront balcony. The living room has a flat screen TV, plenty of seating for the family to relax and watch a movie, and an oceanfront balcony. The balcony has views of Johnnie Mercers Fishing Pier and the crashing ocean waves.

Upstairs you will find the remaining 2 bedrooms. The washer/dryer is in the hallway between these two bedrooms. The second guest bedroom has 2 twin beds and a private full bathroom. The master bedroom has a king bed, large full bathroom, and an oceanfront balcony. This top floor balcony has sweeping oceanfront views, great to unwind in the evening or to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning.

This was a property that needs work. There was black mold in the master bedroom. The ac did not work upstairs- which wouldn’t have been an issue if we were informed. It was a real treat to walk out of the shower and there is a ac repair man in the main bedroom. Once again we were not informed. There were ants everywhere! And I mean everywhere. There were two roaches upstairs - alive. Unit has a good location but not much to offer other than that. Definitely not worth the money whatsoever.

Great deck beach view

Great location and access to beautiful beach. Poorly maintained; peeling paint, rusted shelf in refrigerator, open electrical socket, ripped countertop, problems with 2 of 3 showers, AC had to be repaired during stay, main floor sliding doors leaked during rainstorm. Repairs to plumbing and AC were prompt . Would not stay again

Good beach access and very convenient to commercial establishments and grocery stores.

One stormy day but it didn't interfere with our enjoyment of the property. The size was just right for our family. Thank you.

Showers, sinks, kitchen supplies, very outdated and in need of repair. AC system not adequate for keeping house cool even in the 70 to low 80 degree temperatures we had. Vent cover in master bathroom fell twice and the 2nd time after maint staff replace it hit my wife in the foot. Bathroom sink clogged upon arrival. Sliding doors extremely hard to open. Inadequate patio furniture. Multiple lights and outlets not working. Location only positive

Great location - run down property

The location was great - fantastic views and right on the beach. The layout with two floors was also super lots of space for a family. But the property is run down. There are stains and holes in the ceilings, there is rust on the AC vents, the bathrooms have stains and mold. The doors have splintered and torn up wood and the shag pile carpet throughout looks dirty. The table on the lower deck has stains on it. The handrails were filthy. We have used VRBO for maybe 10 years now and this place was the most rundown we have ever encountered.. We did have an issue with the AC one night and IntraCoastal were great about sending a guy round right away and he fixed it. But overall I think this property needs to be renovated by the owner before it gets back on the rental market.

Reviewer Comments: When I booked the house there were not a lot of reviews.After reading some of them I was very concerned.someone had mentioned that the side shelves on the refrigerator was broken, it was fixed with duck tape. The furniture was old they put dog covers on the furniture. There were cockroaches and couch missing a leg and chair was broken.

The carpet, air intake vents, ceiling fan and comforters all need a thorough cleaning. The bathroom doors need to be replaced. The kitchen utensils were substandard. All that said we had a great week! I would recommend to a friend as long as they knew what they were getting!

The interior was really dated and doors were peeling and stained ceiling. The furniture smelled a little off in the living room. But the appliances all worked and we enjoyed both decks as well. Also great parking. If I stayed there again just I’d bring my own pillows snd blankets. But the location was fantastic snd easy for a week away. And no bugs that we saw at all!

Nice location, but tired and less than clean

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Dirty shag carpet throughout, embarrassed to have guest stay with us. Kitchen faucet completely loose, every kitchen surface grimy, handrails disgusting. Deck table cheap broken plastic. No freezer ice trays, all fridge door trays missing/unusable, 3 towel racks fell off, door panels peeling, broken blinds, glass table top unfastened, etc. Clearly milking it, nobody cares about this place.

Needs Update

It was located in a great place but it definitely needs an update. There were placed in the bathroom that had mold. Was a bit high in price for all the remodeling it needed.

The house dies not have its own beach access, but the public access is next to the house. The house itself needs updating. Some carpets are stained. Some living room furniture is broken. But this would be a great place for a family because it’s not too pristine. Love-worn is what my grandma would have called it. A nice place overall for the price.

Fantastic location and views

The location was amazing, the deck space was lovely. I loved enjoying the views from all around the house. The very dated furniture and bedding wasn't so bad, I get it, you're paying for location and views. However the busted up interior doors and shape of the bathrooms was hard to get past. It would be an easy fix to replace the damaged interior doors. The management company was great. They didn't send a door code in the email but when I called they were very helpful and maintence came over right away to help.

Urgent checks on the property needed

The property, its location close to the pier, and the three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and large living room are outstanding, nothing could have been better for our stay of 4 adults and 2 kids. However, given the weekly rate, customers assume that the property is in principle in good shape. Details as shown below may indicate that there is no regular check and maintenance on this property - in particular the lack of proper deck furniture was very disappointing. 1) Outdoor furniture is inadequate and urgently needs replacement. 4 metal chairs were broken/rusty and could not be used, and two more plastic chairs were broken. Our family of 4 adults and 2 kids could only use 3 chairs to dine and relax on the deck, two of them uncomfortable plastic chairs. 2) Table on the deck is shaky and some cheap plastic, it is not suitable for having meals on the deck. 3) Outdoor electric outlet is a big safety hazard, the outlet is broken and electric wires are exposed - we were worried about our kids touching it. 4) Kitchen faucet needs to be fixed. 5) Sinks in bathrooms are partially clogged. 6) Fridge door shelves were missing, one broken piece was in the waste, and another broken piece in a spare room - indicating that someone was aware of it but did not initiate replacements.

I was disappointed with the inability to open the blinds all the way in the upstairs master where the beautiful view is. Also, the tarp on the upstairs deck is very cumbersome and frankly somewhat of a liability, since it's easy to trip over it when going out on the upstairs deck.

Beautiful location on the beach!

Being on the beach was the best! The view from the top deck is wonderful. Bottom deck is a little blocked by shrubs. The location was perfect. I liked the furniture covers that housekeeping put on, it helped me feel at ease. My friend left a cable and Brian, in housekeeping, was very helpful: went over immediately, got the cable and mailed it only asking for shipping charges. Thanks, Brian. The blinds in master bedroom broke, but the maintenance person came right over and rigged them as best as he can, still a two foot stream of light came in. I'm sure the owner will order new ones. The beds were comfortable and there were ample pots and pans, blender and essentials. Carpets were recently cleaned. Old, but not stained or dirty. Suggest that the owner replace the first floor bathroom doors veneer is peeling apart-a cheap and easy fix. Also, the single plastic table on the patio is so unstable. A couple of cheap tables would really help also. Finally, fix the outdoor shower. A few boards nailed up would do the trick. Trying to be helpful with my suggestions, because it is a lovely place and location. These little fixes would make it perfect.

Broken, very dirty, not maintained, tree blocks ocean view

Reviewer Comments: Archer has NOT been maintained and everything in it is either broken or on the verge of breaking. From the decor, it looks like it was last furnished in the 1970s. We had- splintered doors, filthy furniture and carpets, broken A/C, broken washing machine, broken kitchen faucet, moldy shower curtains, broken showerhead, broken bedroom blinds, non functioning electrical outlets, dishwasher with misaligned door that prevents its proper use, broken chair, ocean view blocked by tree. This unit was a huge disappointment and greatly spoiled our 2 weeks there. Intracoastal Realty should be ashamed to rent this place. We have used Intracoastal for about 10 years and expect them to only offer high level places. We are very disappointed.

Great location to beach but dated and needs a DEEP cleaning.

The location of this property is excellent with less than a minute walk to the beach. The property itself is in dire need of a facelift. If you’re reading reviews, most address the fact that the property is dated. That’s not what bothered us as we understand it’s not a new construction building. What upset our group the most was the fact this place hasn’t been properly cleaned (especially during a time like this with Covid). Yes, counter tops, sinks and toilets were clean upon arrival; HOWEVER, the walls and baseboards haven’t been washed (or even wiped down in ages). The dust gathering behind nightstands was atrocious. We covered all seating in the living room with sheets because of the filth (the couch alone has years of filth caked in). I refused to walk on the carpet barefoot. We went through a package of Clorox wipes trying to clean the hood above the stovetop. The oven hasn’t been cleaned in ages so we chose not to utilize it. After reading the cleaning policy in the contract, it was evident that we had until 10AM the next day to report the issues, however, this property needs a deep cleaning while it’s unoccupied so it would have been fruitless to abandon the rental for the amount of time necessary to give it the attention it deserved. Upon arrival, there was sand on the mattress pads so we requested new ones (which were delivered very quickly). The pillows are old, stained, and flat. The bedspreads were not washed so we had to do laundry first thing. Laundry takes forever because the units are old and dated. Plan to run the dry cycle twice and in small loads or nothing will ever dry. Doors are warped and rotted out at the bottom. The shower head in the master is so covered with water build up that water only comes out of a quarter of it so it takes much longer to shower & thoroughly rinse. The shower curtain also has mold at the bottom. The blinds are all rusted and/or difficult to open, pieces kept falling off the sliding blinds in the master. It rained while we were there and water leaked on the inside of the door creating a puddle on the carpet. Downstairs bedroom TV has no power cord. Also note that you won’t have beach views from the first deck. The tree/bush in font is so overgrown, it blocks all views. It’s a shame this property is in such poor shape because the access to the beach is unbeatable. If you do choose to book for this reason, set your expectations accordingly. Beyond it’s lack in cleanliness, it’s VERY dated!!!

The sheets, towels and mattresses were slightly above average. We had a wonderful weekend, the location can't be beat. My only criticism is that the cookware is very very beat up. We had to go out and purchase our own frying pan. The carpet is in pretty bad shape as well. I normally would not comment except that we spent over $830.00 for one weekend so I would expect these small things to be better maintained.
