North End Cabin is a charming 1 room wooden building with basic but functional kitchen arrangements (2 gas rings), a woodburner, an outside hot shower and a compost loo. The bed is a very comfortable kingsized double. This property is lovely but it is not high but it is full full romance with it's own setting overlooking a lake and views to the sea.
North End Cabin is located on a Higher level Stewardship farm on Dorsets coastline. It is Thomas Hardy country, an area of spectacular scenery, and only a couple of miles from the Jurassic Coast and wonderful beaches. If you enjoy walking or cycling then you’ll be spoilt for choice, with many picturesque walks and routes in this part of West Dorset. Other outdoor pursuits are close by include sailing, golf, horse riding, karting and clay pigeon shooting. You can even go tandem paragliding with Eddie (the owner) on the Jurassic cliffs (there is a additional charge and it is subject to weather conditions).
The nearby bustling coastal resorts are Lyme Regis, West Bay and Weymouth, all offering a wide range of seaside holiday activities, are within easy reach. Whilst inland towns such as Dorchester, Sherborne and nearby Bridport, offer a mixture of history, culture and charm.
West Dorset is home to a vibrant arts scene meaning art lovers have plenty to see, whether you visit an artists open studio event, one of the many diverse art galleries, or outstanding art centres.
Foodies are well catered for and have plenty of choice – from award-winning pubs, cafés and restaurants, through to Farmers’ Markets selling the best of local produce.
