Unique boutique studio style accommodation, wifi, smart tv, shower suite and full kitchenette.
Just 5 mins walk to the beach and centre of village.

In a beautiful quiet residential location in Beer.
The ideal spot to explore the gems of East Devon and West Dorset.

Free Car parking direct by the Pod.
Perfect for couples wanting to escape.

The Pod is situated at the bottom of my garden, overlooked by my garden/house, making it easy for me to provide you anything you may require. Located in a residential area with free parking (and my car is often parked down the side of the Pod out of view). The Pod offers views over some fields or often my neighbour tinkering on his fishing boats. (Please note it is not based on the beach or by the beach with a sea view.)

You can walk to the beach down any of the paths on the road leading to the Pod in 5 minutes via the village centre, where you also find a selection of pubs and restaurants to choose from. A few shops including deli and village shop. Also some beautiful art galleries, bring your gold card for one!

Beer is an historic fishing village, and continues to thrive on fishing to this day. Fresh fish shop on the beach. Can't get fresher!
Take a boat out and catch your own. In fact the owner of the rental fishing boats lives next door to the Pod. So very easy to arrange.
The Jurassic coast is a beautiful place and The Escape Pod is central for access to it all. Walk the coast line direct from the pod. All year round.

Information pack with the pod to ensure you can know what you have locally and I am happy to answer any questions or offer suggestions.

Com excelente localização em Seaton, esta cabana fica na zona rural e à beira-mar. Historic Sidmouth e Marine Theatre estão entre os pontos mais famosos no local. short break in Beer

The property is exactly as described and in a superb position to explore Beer and the surrounding area. Louise was a superb host and on hand if needed. She also suggested some places to eat locally and would recommend the Sea Shanty at Branscombe Beach and Hive Beach Cafe at Burton Bradstock. I am sure we will be back sometime in the future.

Lovely quiet and comfortable pod.

The pod is lovely and warm and cosy. It has everything you need. We were 2 adults and a dog and we fitted well. Louise has thought of everything and the sofa bed is very comfy. We spun it around carefully so that we could use the bunks as a bedhead and look at the view with our cups of tea in the morning. The bathroom is one which I'd like at home. Very nice and great location. Thank you.

Lovely escape

So lovely to see a wren in the hedge and a deer grazing on the hill from the very comfortable double bed. A little cold when we arrived but soon became warm when we put the panel heater on. Beautiful part of England to visit Thank you Louise Ps I’m sorry forgot to take the Poop bag to the local bin.

my first time staying in a pod. It did not feel like a pod, more like a fancy bedsit. It had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable, decor attractive, location peaceful. If you want to getaway and want peace and quite then I recommend. I went out of season so very peaceful. minutes walk from various locations. I went to the caves which I enjoyed. I hope to stay again as I would like to do the coastal walks. A positive experience. My dog also enjoyed it!

Perfect perfect perfect

Absolutely idyllic Pod in the centre of Beer. The Pod is finished to a high modern standard and is so cosy and clean. We sadly didnt spend a great deal of time in it as we had plans made each day so just used it for showering and sleeping. However it is in a very peaceful location so a morning coffee on the decking was just lovely! The bed is very comfy and the shower is good and the kitchen area has all the equipment you need as well as a coffee machine which was a great bonus for a coffee addict! We met the host briefly on arrival who was pleasant and very welcoming letting us know we could contact her if need be. Would 100% stay again in a heartbeat. The dogs also thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Beer itself is a beautiful quaint seaside town with a deep pebble beach which is dog friendly. Great community spirit and lovely place overall with some beautiful coastal walks. We walked from Beer to Sidmouth (9miles) on the Saturday and hitched a bus back to beer and were well and truly ready for a rest and food in one of the 3 pubs. We drank in the Anchor but found service to be quite slow so wandered upto The Dolphin which was equally slow but was cheaper for drinks and food and had a nice courtyard to sit in the sun and relax. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable weekend was had. 10/10.

Peaceful sea side mini-moon

Private, well equipped and presented pod in an ideal Beer location. As stated a short 5 min walk from the village and sea. Loved sitting in bed in the the pod in the cool morning breeze created by the open bi-fold doors. So much to do in local area. BBQ’d fresh fish on the beach was a highlight!

Weekend get away

Great location , had a great weekend although do feel a couple of things could do with a bit of improvement the curtains don’t fit properly so bright sunlight filled the room in the morning and the water pressure on the shower was very poor . But overall we did have a great weekend .

Perfect quiet get away for two!

The escape pod is fully equipped with all of a couples needs when wanting to get away from it all! It is small but comfortable and provides a lovely place to relax, get some quiet nights sleep and generally just recharge! It is a short walk from the lovely village of Beer where food, drink and small shops are plenty. We loved it!

I have two polite children, who may play in the garden during your stay and on hand to help you with any information or requests too.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

I built the Pod to hope to rent it out and let others enjoy the beauty spot I have made my home. My children love it already and are praying for not too many bookings...

It is a unique studio style space, peaceful, gorgeous countryside views, you can sometimes hear the waves at night and the birdsong in the morning.

It is ideal for walkers walking the Jurassic coast and for couples who enjoy the outdoor living.
East Devon / West Dorset is full of places to visit and things to do for all ages and abilities.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

It has been completed with a high specification and I have tried to offer everything I would love to have.... redecorating and re styled in January 2021.
There is only one, so ideal for a secluded getaway.
