We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was clean, in a lovely and centrally located area, and had a great overall vibe. Ana and Filipe were incredibly accommodating with our check in and made us feel very welcome. We especially appreciated the cold water in the fridge when we arrived on a hot day. The layout of the apartment worked perfectly for us, the balcony was a great place to relax at night, and the view was beautiful. The master bed was very comfortable. The smaller room with bunk beds did get a bit warm for our boys, and the beds there were not quite as comfortable, but this was a minor detail in an otherwise fantastic stay. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we would happily return!

Absolutely gorgeous!

We had an amazing stay at the Golden apartment! We arranged for pick-up from the airport and Rui was perfectly on-time and very communicative. Filipe met us at the apartment to welcome us and go over everything the apartment had to offer and show us a map of the area. He also had pre-arrived to turn on the AC and arrange room fans as is was a VERY hot day that day. He was extremely welcoming and informative. Ana provided lists of nearby restaurant and attraction recommendations which was incredible helpful! We also booked a Douro Valley tour through Ana and Rui was our guide. Highly recommend! Rui was very informative and took us places we absolutely never would have accessed on our own. The entire day was lovely! The location is absolutely perfect and so close to everything. The apartment itself was extremely well-appointed and just as shown in the photos! We did not cook much, but had plenty of kitchen essentials for coffee and breakfast. The small enclosed patio was perfect for morning coffees and for those not wanting to disturb anyone still sleeping. The apartment was perfectly clean and so comfortable. The only small caveat would be that while the upstairs King bed was extremely comfortable, my teen girls slept in the bunks and said that the mattresses were quite uncomfortable (i.e. springs in hips, etc.). This is literally the only "negative" that we had and may just be time to update. Otherwise, we had a perfect stay and would 100% stay here again! Thank you, Ana!

Great stay in Porto

Enjoyed our stay in the apartment, very comfortable and good location walking distance to everything. Good value for the cost. Booking, check in and communication with host was excellent. The street out front of accommodation has construction going on so pick up or drop off is a few meters away from the accommodation. Overall, had a great stay.

Such a terrific property close to everything you want to do in Porto! Ana is quick to answer all questions and provide great information on Porto. Highly recommend staying here.

This is the best shared apartment experience we have ever had. Ana and Filipe were gracious attentive hosts. The apartment is better than pictured. There were so many thoughtful touches like tea, coffee and even laundry detergent. There were little signs that told us the WiFi password just where one might look. Filipe made the effort to greet us in person and to welcome us. Ana was incredibly responsive and informative via text both prior to and during the visit. She even reached out to us unprompted when it was raining with suggestions as to what to do. The location is fantastic. You can walk to many points of interest (there are hills). We give the experience 6 out of 5 stars. A definite can’t miss.

Perfect location and fantastic accommodations

We had an excellent experience in this wonderful apartment with exceptional hosts. The apartment is right in the heart of Porto and close to everything. It is well appointed and everything was as described. The host met us upon arrival to ensure we were settled and was available for all of our questions, providing helpful advice for our trip. The bunk bed and separate room for the kids was so helpful and everything felt easy for us to use this as our home base. We would definitely highly recommend staying here!

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

Once a year we take a trip to rest and relax after a busy year. This was our first time in Portugal and spent our time in Porto to get to know the city and its people. Ana was so lovely, helpful, knowledgeable and kept in touch throughout our stay with rainy-day suggestions as well as sitting with us when we met her, to circle must-see places on a map. As a journalist, I have travelled extensively around the world and stayed at many amazing places. I count Ana's Vrbo among one of the most comfortable and welcoming. As one of the reviews mentioned, don't walk, but run to lock down your stay here. You will feel right at home! We will return!

Paradise in Porto!

Cannot say enough good things about the Golden apartment! From check in to check out, Ana and her team were super helpful and responsive, making our first visit to Porto a positive one. The location is central and walkable from all the main tourist spots and restaurants. The photos are accurate and the space is clean, spacious and great for a family of four. We also booked a private wine tour through Ana and Rui, our tour guide was super knowledgeable and pleasant to spend the day with. Highly recommend this spot if you’re visiting Porto.

Perfect!

We stayed at Ana's beautiful apartment for a 24 hour stay in Porto and couldn't have been happier. The location, cleanliness, decor were a 10 out of 10 and Ana's communication leading up to our check in was wonderful. We were greeted by Ana's lovely assistant Joanna provided us with a quick overview of the apartment and things to do in Porto. Highly recommend!

Great Place!

We loved our stay in Porto at this VRBO. Ana was beyond helpful in scheduling a tour of Douro valley plus assisting with lunch reservations in Douro and wine tastings. Rui is the tour guide and driver for her and he was very knowledgeable and very kind. I would highly recommend staying here. Close to many good restaurants. Wish we could have stayed longer snd hope to return. Kim

Wonderful experience!

This apartment was great! Excellent location within walking distance to many attractions. Ana was fantastic. She was easy to communicate with and provided recommendations on must see sites, restaurants and activities for our 3 days in Porto. She coordinated a ride from the airport and had someone ready to greet us at the apartment, even after a late flight. We cannot recommend the Golden Apartment enough!

Lovely time in Porto at Oporto Golden

My husband mother in law and I had a wonderful time at the Oporto Golden apt in Porto. The location was clean and safe tight a number of good restaurants around. And the 2 minute walk to the market was marvelous. The layout of the apartment was so quaint and charming. One caution, much beautiful dishware cannot be put in the dishwasher or microwave. We had to watch a you tube on how to work the range but it was easy once you got the hang. The owner, Ana, was very accommodating and so was her assistant Joana. I would recommend this sweet apt.

The Perfect Apartment!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Golden Apartment! Ana and her staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable - not just at check in but throughout our stay. They picked us up at the airport even though our flight was delayed 8 hours and then made dinner reservations later in the week. The The apartment was super clean and VERY comfortable. The bed was wonderful and the living room very cozy for relaxing with our coffee in the morning. Kitchen was fully stocked with any pots and pans and small appliance we might need. We HIGHLY recommend and would absolutely stay in the apartment again! Thank you Ana!

Porto - near it all

Excellent location for getting around Porto. Only one mild challenge related to loft layout is noise if everyone isn't waking at similar times. All and all, it was perfect for our stay!

Perfect place to stay in Porto

Anna’s Oporto Golden Apartment was absolutely the perfect place for our stay in Porto. It is located centrally in Porto making it easy to walk to all the sites but is also located in a quiet area of town. The apartment is fully renovated and looks exactly as shown in the pictures. It is well stocked with everything you need for a short stay. Communication with Anna was excellent. At check-in we were met by Joana and she spent a good amount of time showing us everything in the apartment and talking about places we should see during our stay. She was so welcoming and helpful. So happy we choose to stay here.

Gorgeous and Perfect Location

We only had one night to stay in Porto and we were so lucky to find Ana’s flat. This was the perfect place for my husband and I and our three daughters (ages 19,21 and 22). We arrived later than originally anticipated, and Ana and Miguel were so gracious and flexible in meeting us with a friendly smile and loads of helpful information regarding what to go and where to eat in our limited time. Communication was excellent and Ana was available and in touch to make sure all was well throughout our stay which was very kind. We would highly recommend Ana’s place to anyone visiting the lovely city of Porto. Thank you, Ana!

Run, dont walk to book this place.

This was an incredible stay. Ana & teqm took incredible care to ensure our stay was seamless, delightful and our every need was met. They met us at the Uber, walked us through the lift, and checked in a series of times to ensure we had everything we needed. Don't hesitate if you are considering this property.

Quaint flat….

This flat is just superb. From everything you need in the kitchen to make a meal, to the numerous places to sit, this apartment is quite comfortable. Pristine and clean, lovely decor, comfortable mattress, 2 bathrooms, and lovely textiles and furniture. As a visitor from a rainy climate, I appreciated the skylights and openness of the loft allowing for maximum brightness. The apartment is nestled on the 4th floor of a secure apartment building and has an elevator (big deal when you have luggage!!). Ana was communicative ensuring we were well and offered tips on restaurants and anything necessary as we were there during 2 holidays. I would highly recommend staying here as it is a little oasis in the middle of Porto. No surprises, just everything pictured and then some. Also, even though there are ear plugs on the nightstands, we didn’t need them. Being on the back side of the building away from the street, it was very quiet (even with the windows open). Thank you Ana for making such a beautiful space!
