4 bed/4 bath camp with Fourth Lake access!

This camp is a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home located on a private road in Eagle Bay, just minutes from Old Forge. The home is surrounded by woods and pine trees. It comes with a deeded lakefront parcel of property with a dock on Fourth Lake that is a short 0.1 mile or 3 minute walk on a private road from the house. Kayak and stand-up paddleboard included with the rental. Excellent location for fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, etc. (note: no motorized watercraft allowed at the dock; non-motorized equipment only). The home is located just off Trail 5 and is close to other hiking trails. Outdoor deck with gas BBQ grill, patio furniture, ample parking.

The layout of this home makes it a perfect gathering spot for families. The home has an open living/dining/kitchen floor plan, where multiple people can comfortably gather. Fully equipped kitchen. Each of the 4 bedrooms are spacious and have its own small, but private en suite full bathroom with shower, offering privacy and convenience. There are two bedrooms on the 1st floor- one has a set of bunk beds with a full bed on the bottom and twin bed on the top; the other has a queen bed. There are two additional bedrooms on the 2nd floor- one has a king size bed; the other has a queen bed and two twin beds. There is a safety gate at the base of the stairs for child safety (if needed).

WiFi and cell phone reception!

$500 returnable security deposit required.

Guests must provide their own sheets, towels, and beach towels. Pillows are provided.

Laundromat located nearby.

Check in- 5:00pm, check out- 11:00am.

Summer rentals- 7 day rental, Saturday- Saturday only.

Seasonal Winter rates are not available.

This is a fabulous house! An open floor plan which worked very well for 3 couples. The bathrooms are a bit small, however each couple had their own bathroom! And the host is great to work with!! We will definitely return!

We had a wonderful stay! The spacious living area and separate bathrooms for each bedroom made this a perfect vacation for us and our adult children. The private dock and swimming area made it an amazing vacation. We have vacationed in the area for many years, and this property met all of our expectations and more. We had many laughs around the firepit. Beautiful, quiet and private area! We loved our time there!

Family get together

THIS WAS OUR 3rd year at Shawnee, and it again was great! We love the location. It is near resources, yet is in a lovely forest location. There is a short walk to 4th lake and kayaks are available to use. It is very close to the Tobin train for walking and biking. And only a short ride to Old Forge. The cabin is lovely, has a cozy Adirondack feel. every one enjoyed the week.

Great vacation property. This was our 8th year staying @ Shawnee and we have enjoyed every year. Love the quietness of the cabin and the private beach area.

Never Again

False advertisement. They don't tell you the things that's important for you and your family until you arrive. This property is not a water front property, you have to drive to it. There were no gas in the tank for us to grill, and they stated that they feel up the gas tank when they first open after that you are responsible to fill the tank. There were supposed to be paper towels and tissue there. Not in all rooms, garbage was left in the can nasty food smell. I will not recommend this place to no one who have a family not recommend at all. Keep looking make sure the owners care about their customers. Overprize We will never stay there again and we will not recommend this property.

Another great stay at Shawnee

This was our third stay here with family. It is such a peaceful place tucked in the woods, but close to many services. It’s also just steps from the Tobie trail.

Guys snowmobile weekend

Excellent place to stay for snowmobiling. Very close to a major trail, restaurants, and even snowmobile shop/dealer. The accommodations were awesome, clean and a great layout. Definitely would recommend to anyone coming to the area to snowmobile.

Winter Weekend

My family stayed here to enjoy some winter activities. It is a wonderful house and location! Lots of space in living/kitchen area for us to gather, everyone had their own bedroom and bath, private and quiet setting but close to Eagle Bay, Inlet, and Old Forge. House was very clean, owner responded quickly to questions, cozy decorations. We really loved this place!

Great home for families

We stayed at this beautiful home with 3 of our adult children (two had spouses) and an almost 3 year old. The upstairs was perfect for them!! We had the bedroom on the main floor which was smaller than the upstairs rooms but still comfortable. The bathrooms were small but each bedroom had their own which was really nice for separate families. The dining, kitchen and living room with a large table for 8 made it perfect. The kitchen cupboards were full of dishes, pots and pans, corning ware and even a pancake griddle. The weather was miserable so we did not spend time on the beach and only walked to it to see what it looked like. Very nice neighborhood with a 2 million dollar house next to the beach property for sale! Our only concern was the open staircase with our almost 3 yr old. It would be nice to have had the back of the steps closed off and spindles on the railing.

Perfect for an adult family

We spent a wonderful week. Perfectly placed between Inlet, Eagle Bay and Old Forge. Love that each bedroom had a 3/4 bath. Have adult children with their partners it was perfect. We plan on returning. We love it. All want to return.

Back to ADK

Was looking to return to this area and found this real nice home for our trip. The location was perfect with it being close to Inlet and Old Forge. The house had everything we needed for our stay and everything you need to make a meal. The bedrooms are a nice comfortable size and the beds were fine. I must say the bathrooms are small so a large person might have find them a problem but for most people they work just fine. The dock and water are a short walk down the road and you have a little area to sit out by the water. No beach so you enter the water off of the dock if you want to swim. The owners were great to communicate with and got back to me quickly to answer my question. Would we rent this place again, Yes. We're thinking of coming back next year.

It was a great property with an open first floor plan. The 1st floor baths were small but manageable. The walk to the lake was down the road, only on the road and it would be a distance to carry a kayak. The slippery rocks and no jumping or diving could be solved easily with a ladder at the end of the dock I am surprised the owner has not thought of that! The family did walk on the rocks and waded into the water but it was not easy.

We purchased this home in 2016 with the intention of using it primarily in the winter months (we love snowmobiling!). The previous owners rented the home during the summer months and we decided to do the same.

We love the location! Eagle Bay offers privacy and seclusion while being just minutes from the town of Old Forge. We love the lake access of this home and our ability to use Fourth Lake. We love the fact that each bedroom has its own private bath- great privacy!
