Sobre esta propriedade
The Wheelhouse at Staveley - Characterful & Modern Holiday Home with SAUNA
The Wheelhouse at Staveley is a unique holiday let in the busy village of Staveley. It is modern, comfortable and homely, and is designed with holidaymakers in mind.
The Wheelhouse at Staveley sits to the side of a small industrial site (please note that there may be some deliveries and vehicle movements, mainly during normal working hours in the week) and provides ample room for up to six guests in three bedrooms.
Downstairs there is a relaxing open plan living/dining room, with floor to ceiling glass doors that overlook the private patio at the front of the property. The living area has large leather couches and a wall-mounted flat-screen television, and is beautifully decorated with pictures of the local area. There’s WiFi and Netflix available too for you to catch up on your favourite box sets. It is a great place to relax.
The dining area has a large dining table topped with a map of the Lake District National Park so that you can plan your next day's adventures over dinner.
There is a modern kitchen complete with an induction hob, oven, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. The breakfast bar provides additional workspace and a place to sit and chat with a coffee.
The Wheelhouse at Staveley also has separate utility facilities available including a washing machine, iron and ironing board.
The private Swedish sauna is not to be missed and provides a tranquil haven after a strenuous day walking or cycling in the hills (please note that the sauna is coin operated and takes 20p coins only).
Upstairs, the landing has a chaise lounge and second television. It's a great place for kids to relax and do their own thing, and it has its own Xbox games console for entertainment and watching DVDs.
There are three bedrooms that sleep a total of six guests. Each room is beautifully furnished with good-quality beds and bed linen, drawers and cupboards, and electric central heating radiators.
Bedroom One has a king-sized bed, dressing table, chair, bedside tables and wall mounted reading lights. Bedroom Two also has a king-size bed with chest of drawers and bedside tables. Bedroom Three has two single beds, bedside tables with reading lights, a wardrobe and a low window with deep sill and exposed wooden lintel.
There are two fully-tiled shower rooms in the property, each with a large walk-in shower cubicle, wall mounted WC, hand basin and heated towel rail.
Outside the Wheelhouse at Staveley, there is a paved patio area and off-street parking for three cars (one at the front of the property and two at the rear). There is a barbecue in the store room and patio chairs and a table available for you to relax outside in the warm weather. The property has a heated drying room in the stores where you can put your wet gear in at the end of the day, and there's a secure cycle/equipment store with a few useful tools. The equipment store(s) are also perfect if you have a young family, at the end of the day; simply push your buggies and prams into the stores with piece of mind and not having to pack them into your car!
Electricity, towels, tea towels, dishcloths and bedding are included in the cost. However, the Scandinavian sauna is coin operated and takes 20p pieces only. Each 20p lasts for 5 minutes. There is Wi-Fi and central heating throughout the property. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.
Short breaks are possible depending on availability - please enquire.

Sobre o anfitrião
Anfitrião: Chris Smith
We are Chris and Sue Smith and we took over The Wheelhouse at Staveley in 2019 from Stephen and Sarah, who originally set The Wheelhouse up and made it more than just a holiday home. We love the outdoors and have 2 children - one at university and one currently at college.
Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade
We fell in love with The Wheelhouse at Staveley as soon as we stepped through the door. It is modern, comfortable and like a Tardis inside - it's so well designed and has everything you need - including its own SAUNA! It's the ideal place to relax after a long day out on the hills!
O que faz essa propriedade ser única?
The sauna is quite a unique and attractive feature of The Wheelhouse at Staveley. It is also really convenient for going out to eat or for a drink, as there are lots of options within walking distance. It also has the benefit of a brilliant bus service going through the village which goes up through the Lakes to Keswick and down to Lancaster. Staveley also has its own train station, so you really don't necessarily need a car!
