Dan y Graig - Short winter breaks available

Disappointed that these guests found downsides to staying at Dan y Graig. Just to address these: 1 - The lane does indeed get tight at one location as you navigate around the corner of a neighbour's building. We do however have plans to widen this corner this winter. This said, I take both my largest Landrover vehicles around this corner with no problem. 2 - please read the property description (and photos) before booking. I make clear reference to the back bedrooms having reduced ceiling heights so wonder why this was an issue -"Whilst the bedrooms at the front are big and bright, with sumptuous large beds, the two at the back of the house are ‘loft style’ rooms which lead off their own little private stair. These offer a different experience, perfect for the kids or the guest who’d prefer a cosier, space. To maximise space, we’ve used specially designed loft beds that are a bit lower than usual, so you don’t knock your head on the beamed ceiling as you get up in the morning. "

Our property description does state that 'the track to the farmhouse is rocky in places....don't forget you are climbing the side of the mountain'. This said, the heavy rains in late spring this year have damaged the track surface. Although the track is not in our ownership, we have now re-surfaced it and the farmhouse can be easily reached by any vehicle. All our appliances are really simple to use without instruction, however all information leaflets are kept in a drawer at the farmhouse for anyone to refer to. Dan y Graig has never had a local area file as it's so easy to carry out a simple google search these days if you're looking for things to do. Most of our guests do this before visiting. It also helps us keep things as paperless as possible. I'm happy to help and only a phonecall, email, or text away if there are any queries or for suggestions on what to do.

Access is via the old farm lane which narrows around the top corners. It easily accommodates vehicles as large as Range Rovers but is a very tight squeeze for a camper van. The alternative access is our neighbours lane, and should not be used. If in doubt that your vehicle may not be able to access, it’s a good idea to check before booking or arriving.
