Private fishing on the Kenai in Soldotna!!! Walk to everything.

A beautiful log home with all new amenities. Completely remodeled with everything furnished for you. Located right on the Kenai river in the heart of the city of Soldotna. Walking distance to stores, restaurants, local drinking establishments and coffee shop. The house looks over the Kenai River with private access to the river for fishing. Just walk out the back door and down the steps. The house has three bedrooms. There is a master bedroom with bath. The other two bedrooms overlook the river. Large living room with two full size couches and plenty of floor space if needeed for extra guests. new "up to date" kitchen and a large dining area. Off of the kitchen out the back door is a new large deck with seating to enjoy the view of the river along with all the birds such as Bald Eagles, Variety of Gulls , Stellar Jays just to name a few. Also included is a washer, dryer iron and iron board. In the garage there is a chest freezer and vacuum sealer on a large table to package your fish at no extra cost.
If you want a fishing vacation but you do not want to be out in the woods then this is the place for you.

Best place to stay in Soldotna

Great place! So close to everything. Had the honor to meet the owners Robert and Robin and super nice hosts. 2nd time we stayed at this great house for mainly fishing from the private newer docks, fish cleaning station and vacuum sealing equipment. Planning on coming back in 2 years and only plan on staying here again.

I canā€™t say enough great things about this property and host. We had every household item you could possibly need. The house was so nice. The landing where we fished was set up with everything we needed. We will forever call Robin a friend.

Perfect location!

We couldnā€™t ask for a better place to stay. We only had a 5 minute drive to meet our fishing guide at Poachers Cove. Another short drive to all the businesses in Soldotna. The house was very spacious and comfortable. Everything you could possibly need was already at the house. Washer and dryer on site. The views of the Kenai River from the living area was breathtaking. Definitely will be staying here again!

Awesome

The cabin had everything you could possibly need to fish, cook, and do laundry. We were six adults and there was plenty of room. We fished the majority of our stay and Rob provided fishing poles, filleting station, and processing supplies with freezer. There was also an icemaker for keeping the fish on ice while trying to perfect the Kenai flip. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this property and the area.

Beautiful house and views

Great house and view. Good sockeye salmon fishing off platforms. All amenities provided plus some not usually provided. Ice machine , fishing equipment, fishing cleaning table on river. Vacuum equipement for freezing you salmon. I recommend !

Perfect home base for the Kenai Peninsula

Perfect home away from home! We loved this wonderful cabin - so convenient for fishing the Kenai, Kasilof, and even a day trip to Homer. We appreciated all of the details the owners provided such as a vacuum sealer and deep freezer for our caught fish, outdoor chairs for hanging out outside, bird and squirrel feeders filled for fun wildlife viewing, and even coffee and beer waiting for us upon check in. We loved watching a golden eagle who roosted on a branch behind the back deck. And the views of the river are spectacular. Thank you for sharing your lovely home - couldnā€™t have asked for a better spot to explore the Kenai!!

perfect location

Walking distance to stores, coffee, park trail but when you look out the windows you think you are far from town and in a fishing paradise. Robert and Robin have the home stocked with everything you need for a perfect vacation. They responded to every question very quickly and were very informative about things to do and the fishing conditions. We will be back!!

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. The owners and family are very nice and helpful. The cabin feels "Alaskan" but then has very new appliances and feels very comfortable and updated. Highly recommend!

Perfect home on the Kenai

My family and I spent the week here. Great location, very clean log cabin home, fishing in the Kenai from backyard with 3 fishing decks and all rods and tackle provided!! Can I wait to stay here again!! Thank you Robert and Robin!! We had a great time!!

Great place to stay. Perfect location

Had an outstanding week. Property was as good as you could ask for. We were there primarily to fish and had great success. The only issues or suggestions was on the fish cleaning and storage. The cleaning table worked but not ideal. Tough to keep clean. Need a stainless cleaning table. Also a larger freezer. Freezer was quite small and had to store most of our fish offsite. We also purchased another vacuum sealer machine and left it there for others to use. Overall was a great place to stay and would highly recommend. Hope to return there again someday

If you are looking for a place to relax, catch fish, and enjoy your Alaskan adventure this is the place. Robert and Robin have already made sure everything you need is available at the house, including fishing gear, even though we brought our own. The house sits up off the river with a beautiful view from the living room. Thereā€™s stairs to access the lawn and bank below. Although the river was unusually high when we were there, and the drift was fairly deep, fishing from the platforms provided plenty of fish for the six of us staying there. Robert and Robin are quick to provide anything and everything you could possibly need, including advice. They are super people and I would suggest this place to anyone interested in having a great time. I couldnā€™t even get the guys to venture out they loved it so much. Not to mention that all the neighbors were awesome also.

Great stay on the river!

I stayed with my family including 2 teenagers. We loved the house and location. Its very clean, comfortable family room to hang out in and has everything in kitchen to cook meals with. The main room has a lovely view. The location is also great for walking on the river. Beautiful walk. Also super close to markets, restaurants and other hikes etc.. Tom and Dolly who care for the house were amazing and super helpful. Would stay here again! 5 stars!!

Absolute Paradise!

This beautiful home and all of its offerings well exceeded our expectations. We felt right at home! It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay including new appliances, pots and pans, utensils, etc. Lots of space to hang out and enjoy the views, but what we enjoyed most was the private fishing all day and night in the comfort of our backyard. We brought our own fishing poles, but the house comes equipped with them including the large fishing nets, too! Catching salmon was fun! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Robin, and she was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Her wonderful hospitality and beautiful home really made our first trip to Soldotna a very memorable one. We hope to be able to come back again in the future. Thank you!

Watching Spring Unfold on the Kenai

Wonderful stay in a very memorable location. Had a great visit with our family and we all enjoyed the changes in the Kenai River each day as the ice began to melt with the spring thaw. I have been in Soldotna since 1959. Grew up here, went to school here and raised my children here and Yep, still live here.

This is a one of a kind property in a very unique place. An original log home, that was common in Alaska, on the famous Kenai river, which is one of the most famous rivers in the world. This property is located in town, walking distance to every convenience Soldotna has to offer.
