Deanscales has a lovely pub, village green and beck. Your nearest lake is Loweswater, which is one of the smallest lakes in the Lake District, yet arguably one of the prettiest. The area boasts beautiful flora and fauna as well as an abundance of wildlife, including buzzards, kestrels, ospreys and of course red squirrels. Famously brewing the award-winning Loweswater Gold, it’s a ’must try’. The surrounding area has many attractions and places to visit. The popular town of Cockermouth is just 3 miles away with a delightful selection of independent shops, supermarkets, restaurants, coffee shops, delis and pubs serving a variety of craft ales. It’s also the birthplace of William Wordsworth and home to the famous Jennings Brewery nestled beneath the castle walls.
