Very nice

We really enjoyed our stay at this property, it's right by the beach and the owners had even put up a Christmas tree for us. My only concern was the lack of smoke and carbon mom oxide detectors, but when I raised this with the owners, they responded that they would resolve this asap.

Enjoyable Stay

The property is in a fantastic position next to the beach. Views are brilliant. We stayed with our family of two grown up children and their partners. Although the property said it catered for six the top room was more suited to children rather than adults. Master bedroom was fantastic with views over the sea and with a sun lounge off the bedroom. We all enjoyed our stay with a well kitted out kitchen allowing us to self cater. Down stairs toilet an added bonus.

We loved it. Peaceful, with friendly neighbours and locals. Caister is a crash out spot for us, away from daily pressures, phones and computers, where we can relax and watch the world go by even if it's cold , windy or wet. That closed in balcony overlooking the beach and sea is a real asset to this property. I think a lot of thought has been given to the upgrading of the original cottage in maximising the living space,very well done. We did have a few issues with checking in, but on retrospect,I think this may well have been due to unfamiliarity with a new email provider and an old mobile phone not connecting properly. I would like to make a couple of safety notes.When I arrived,the telescope on the balcony was pointing outwards and slightly upwards towards the sun, dangerous ?. Secondly, the gas meter/main emergency shut off valve is in a locked box by the beachside door, would recommend an access key be made available to guests for any possible gas leak emergencies. All in all, it was a great place to stay and I'm sure we'll be back again. Thank you

Alan, that closed-in balcony looking out over the beach really is the heart of the place, and hearing it gave you a proper wind-down from daily life is exactly what it is there for. The safety points around the telescope and the gas meter key are genuinely useful and we will act on both. Cold, grey coastal days from that perch have their own particular charm, and you are welcome back whenever you need to escape again.

2 night stay

The property itself is great with the seaview and being right on the beach. Everything is provided plenty of plates, cups, utensils, towels etc and it’s beautifully decorated.However, the property is listed as dog friendly (which it is) but other properties listed in the advert that dogs are not allowed upstairs or on furniture, this property however did not. We recieved a message the day before check in advising this and then another message asking if we were taking a dog as a further 50 will need to be taken (fine, it’s in the T&Cs) but I think the stipulation around not being allowed upstairs or on furniture should be listed beforehand. We were only there for 2 nights and on our only full day there we had BT engineers come to the house to change the WiFi, this meant we felt we couldn’t be in the house until they were done (not ideal being 6 months pregnant) this went on for a few hours then a little longer when there was an issue resetting the WiFi password. Again the property is lovely and ideal for that little beach stay but these two issues just stood out on this occasion.

Perfect

Although the outside of the building and the street looks abit run down inside couldn’t be more different! Felt very cosy and homely as soon as we arrived. Also very clean and accommodating with cleaning products, tea, coffee, sugar etc.. if I had to be picky the 2nd double room is very small! They done well to get a double bed in there! Mattresses are all too soft but I guess that’s personal preferences. The view out to the beach from main bedroom is lovely but due to privacy glass along the bottom you can’t actually sit and enjoy it.. overall we loved it and all said we would happily return for another stay.

Booked for 5 nights, stayed only 1

Mattress in main bedroom very soft, lumpy & uncomfortable. Limited cupboard space in main bedroom. Second bedroom tiny with no cupboard. Advertised as a "cottage" in an "idyllic" area but is actually a terraced house at the end of a residential street with limited privacy & on pathway to public toilets. No picnic table out front as advertised? Inside of property is clean and well maintained, but not as spacious as photos portrayed. Advertised as sleeping 6 people but only 1 sofa and a single armchair in living room. Windows at rear of property look onto small unattractive courtyard (and wheelie bins). The main attraction is the close proximity to the beach. Suitable for only a short stay of 1 or 2 nights max. Contacted owner to let them know we were checking out early due to very uncomfortable bed, but no acknowledgement or response from owner. Disappointing.

Thank you for your comments regarding your stay at Marina Beach House. We were unaware that you had checked out early? We have ordered a new mattress for the main bedroom. Unfortunately there has been a delay in it being delivered. We had hoped it would have been in place ready for your stay. The picnic table was very recently removed for the winter months. This will be in place again in the Spring. We are disappointed with some of your findings as this property is one of our most popular and our guests have given us some lovely reviews.

Wonderful position on beach

Quirky terraced house, lovely inside. Only disappointment us that glass in upstairs balcony is frosted so you can't see the view - the whole point of having it. Needs to be replaced with clear glass.

Lovely break

Despite the bad weather, we thoroughly enjoyed our break away. Marina beach house is perfect location for the beach, everything is supplied for a comfortable stay, immaculately clean. We would definitely rebook.

Not enough time there

Due to current climate we found we were not able to stay for all of our break but the property was fantastic and Nikki & Stef were excellent hosts. We were right on top of the beach which was brilliant For walks with the dog. Everything was as described and we will definitely be staying again once the world becomes normal again. Chester’s 1st. Holiday

Fantastic location, right on the beach. Chester enjoyed his walks, up and down the beach everyday. The property itself was excellent. We had a really chilled out time from start to finish. Would highly recommend to friends and family

Our Weekend at Marina Beach

We arrived at the property just after 4pm , we did struggle to park however, we did manage to get a space though the next day. Very tastefully decorated and cosy. Loved the view from the double bedroom with the Conservatory. We sat a couple of nights looking at the stars. Archie our dog loved the beach and Saturday and Sunday we had some good walks along by the sea. Liked the novel way of booking in online.

Great stau

Everything about this property was good. Had a slight problem connecting to WiFi. Contacted Nikki and Stef. Was sorted out straight away. Would definitely stay here again

Right on the beach

Fantastic location, right on the beach. Perfect for dog owners and walkers. Cottage was nice and clean and absolutely fine for two of us and our two dogs. I would suggest putting a dressing table in the bedroom so it’s easier to get ready in the morning,. Also putting the mirror over the sink in the bathroom. Great stay and would recommend Martin and Andrea

Cosy and comfortable beach house in a fabulous location. Well laid out with everything you may need. Will definitely look to stay again in the summer months :)

Excellent!

Really well placed right on an amazing beach. The actual accommodation was excellent, really tastefully furnished. The only slight downside the 2nd double was quite small. Otherwise, a lovely place to stay!

Great weekend away

We had a fantastic weekend. Great location and close to Yarmouth and shops nearby. We would definitely come back! The place was immaculate and even better than the photos

Sun room bliss

Our favourite room was the sun room. We spent many hours watching the tide come in. In the evenings, watching ship lights and having a glass of wine.
