This ski front view property offers the best of both worlds. Walk to the advanced ski slopes or enjoy breath-taking views from the Rockfish Valley all the way to Farmville.
This three-bedroom, two level condo offers lots of space with bedrooms on two levels for privacy. The main level offers an open-concept living area with gorgeous views and two bedrooms each with a double bed and a twin bed. There are two full bathrooms (one ensuite). The private lower level with outside access has a king-sized bed in a large living area with fireplace, TV, sitting area, and a full private bathroom. Perfect for skiing families that want to be walking distance to the experts slopes. Watch the game on two HD flat screens, one in the living area and one in the master bedroom. Newly rebuilt balconies improve the already super outdoor living space. The Highlands condominiums are located at the top of the expert ski slopes in the heart of the upper village at Wintergreen.

We didn't meet the host, but the coordinator was very helpful. The condo functions well for families, and has a great view of the sunrise and mountains. The unit is dated but It was reasonably priced and we enjoyed it.

Not as planned, but owners were great and responsive

We ended up only staying 1 night (rather than the intended 3) at this property. It was as advertised and worked well for our interest of staying at a "ski-in/ski-out" place at Wintergreen. Unfortunately, the Wifi wasn't working upon arrival (everything else was mostly in order). When it couldn't be fixed during our stay, the owner offered to make us whole if we wanted to leave (the snow wasn't great either, so we chose that option), which was much appreciated. Per other reviews, the location is outstanding. Some of the furniture is a bit dated, but it was certainly fine. Overall, it's a great place for some family time right on the slopes. Be aware, you will need to turn on the heat or A/C, water and hot water heater upon arrival. So provision your arrival timing accordingly.

Well appointed condo in a great location

The condo was right at the top of the black diamond slopes. Unfortunately they were closed because of lack of snow, but the views of the sunrise over the mountains was beautiful. While we could not ski over to the main resort area, there is a shuttle. We ended up taking the short < 5 min drive. The condo is well appointed with everything we possibly needed for a comfortable stay. The couches and beds were comfortable and the overall vibe worked great for a ski weekend. The pictures on the website are accurate - the condo is a little out of date. But honestly we liked the condo and everything about it more than we thought we would based on the pictures. We also loved Wintergreen - it is a great family resort. It is worth the 15 min drive to Devil's Backbone Brewery if you get a chance.

Hiking Humpback Rocks

This property is very close to the Appalachian Trail. We hiked from Route 56 to Route 64. This was the perfect location for that stretch of trail.

Nice location, but very dated

The condo has a great location and layout w plenty of room for a family. However, the linoleum floors, carpet, bathrooms, furniture and decor are very dated. Certainly understand that a rental property has wear and tear and isn’t fancy, but this condo really needs some upgrades to be current. Also, the stairs to the bottom floor (master bedroom) are extremely steep and have narrow steps that are dangerous. Again, great location and layout…just dated.

Beautiful

The house was nice and the location was beautiful. The Introduction package had an incredible number of infractions with corresponding fines. Smoking indoors ($500) is something I understand. However, the number of small infractions with significant penalties was mind-boggling. I have a VRBO rental as well and at the prices paid, I let many small things slide by. Regardless, this list was offensive.

Very pleasant

No surprises and very easy to set up and close upon arriving and departing. The information binder had all of the necessary info needed. Online description very accurate. Very comfortable with an incredible mountain view!

Fantastic, spacious condo!

Our family of six had a great time skiing! The condo is right next to the Highlands lift and was so convenient to ski in and out. Everything was exceptionally clean. The towels were new and fluffy! Great time! Great memories!

We had an amazing time. The only thing negative was the clanging in the downstairs room chimney all night which made it hard to fall asleep.

Fantastic!

This place is great!! We came down for a ski trip with three couples and the accommodations were perfect! Each couple had a nice bedroom and their own bathroom. The living room is perfectly cozy with a real fireplace and the dining room table fit all of us! Check in and out was easy (although having printed instructions in the home would have made it easier). We’re already talking about coming back for another ski trip!

Relaxation in the mountains

We enjoyed our July stay at Wintergreen. It rained the first few days then cleared. We hiked a few trails including up to Humpback Rocks off the Parkway. The condo is dated (1980s) but adequate and well stocked with dishes and pots/pans. The view of the valley below is mostly obscured by trees but still very nice. The pass provided gets you into the outdoor pool about a mile down the road but you still have to pay $$$ to use the spa/pool/tennis facility nearby or Lake Monacan which is about 15 miles down the road. It cost $129 per 18 holes of golf and $15 to use the practice range at the mountain top Devils Knob course. Outdoor dining $$$ at the clubhouse restaurant was pleasant. Best to stock up with groceries since not much is available up on the mountain except for the convenience store at the gas station. The little cafe across the street has beverages, sandwiches and salads, when open. No one seemed to be using the two restaurants at the ski lodge (if open) and all but one of the shops at the lodge were out of business/vacant. It would be nice if the Owner provided a small electric Weber BBQ grille out on the deck for grilling out since there is a receptacle out there. These little grills use household current and are not expensive, but really fun and convenient to use. The previous two condos we rented at the Vistas and Cliffs had one. A GFI receptacle had tripped while we were there and all the bath receptacles went dead. We had to look around until we found the tripped button on the receptacle in the in-suite guest bath. The filter on the AC unit was in need of replacement. Overall, our stay was pleasant and restful, and the condo met our general expectations.
