Surrounded by tall cedars our house is situated right in the middle of the amazing private community of Hartstene Pointe. A cozy front porch living room greets you. Then walk into a large great room with an 8 person dining table, a large well-stocked kitchen with a breakfast counter and a living room with 2 comfortable couches and a game closet for hours of entertainment, plus DVDs. Off the kitchen is a 3/4 bath with a washer and dryer. The back of the house has a main suite with a king size bed and a on-suite bathroom with a large soaking bathtub. In the middle of the back hallway is a bunk room that can sleep up to 4. The last bedroom is in the corner with a comfy queen size bed and two windows looking over the forest. There are tons of board games, toys, stuffed animals and videos to keep kids entertained, even indoor nerf hoop! Plus 10MB WIFI works great. Everything in the community is close by--hiking trails, beaches, seasonal pool and hot tub, clubhouse, lagoon for fishing, marina, tennis courts and more. You will not want to leave.

We had a wonderful time (again!) and can't wait to come back! So much solitude and serenity in this location - we were only able to make a short stay of it, but the walks and chill time with family was worth the drive! This house is "goldilocks" in every way - not too anything in the wrong direction and everything JUST RIGHT! This host even has a dedicated puzzle table nestled beside the couches - the perfect touch for our crew! Thank you again for letting us stay and play!

Peaceful island experience

We have been staying at this cabin for years now and it never disappoints. Spacious, clean, and comfortable accommodations. Our adventures included playing on the beach, fishing, biking, and pickleball.

Another fantastic stay!

We've stayed at this house multiple times and it's always so nice to return! All of the comforts we've come to appreciate, and the surrounding area is so relaxing! We've already booked our next visit and can't wait to return!

Our stay is always too short! We've stayed at this house over and over again the past several years and the host family consistently has the home clean, well-stocked and ready to go!I love the solitude, space and beauty this location offers and I can't wait to get back. Wi-Fi made it possible for my wife to tend to a couple last minute work items while the pickle-ball court and the beach gave my sons an outlet. Quiet reading on the porch or a nice run through the trails and along the beach is also great!We cannot wait to go back again!

Check in with the Maintenance Association. The location is near the middle, not too long of walk to the clubhouse, but a long walk to the point. The house was very comfortable for the eight of us. Deer walked through daily.

The open concept of the house was spacious and comfortable for our adult family of four and one medium-sized dog. The house was well stocked, had wi-fi, and several games and puzzles. We especially loved spending time on the porch. We left a day early because my allergies flared up. We didn't ask (and wouldn't have) for a refund of one night, but they generously processed a refund.

Wonderful Family Vacation!

We loved the house, island and all the amenities included. Best 4th of July ever. The weather was perfect and tons of activities for families. We would love to book this house in the future. It was perfect.

Amazing time with family and friends

My family and I have stayed at this house multiple times and thoroughly enjoyed doing so again. It's always so clean and comfortable and centrally located to all the amenities within the Hartstene Pointe community! The layout of the house lends itself perfectly to time spent with family or relaxing quietly with a good book. We positively loved our stay here and have already booked our next visit! Can't wait to be back!

Perfect Peaceful Birthday Getaway!

This cabin in the woods on this remote island was the perfect family getaway for my birthday. The house has all you need to relax and unwind. So cozy and peaceful. The outdoor living room was especially nice since it rained. We did not want to leave.....

Great family getaway

Amazing stay! The house was perfect for kids/family . Lots of toys and games. Neighborhood was so peaceful and safe The house as a whole was cozy and made you feel right at home. The pool ,beaches , and hanging on the porch were daily activities we loved doing as a family. If I ever travel back to Harstine Island, I will be staying here again! 10 stars!

Well thought out rental

House is open plan, well stocked kitchen, lots of toys for kids and adults. Really appreciated covered deck on rainy days and the soaking tub. Very comfortable beds. Would work well for 2 couples with kids sleeping in the bunk room.

Perfect family getaway

We have stayed at this house so many times and love the way it is always so well maintained - so comfortable and fits our family just perfectly! The hosts are always so considerate and thoughtful, and we couldn't be more grateful! After a hectic fall season, this long weekend was just what all of our family members needed: time to read, walk, think, play and explore. Nailed it!

A week in PacNor Paradise!

Our family has been fortunate enough to stay at this wonderful house and in this community a number of times now and this trip did not disappoint! The house was so comfortable, clean and well-stocked all we had to do was relax, recreate and enjoy! Beautiful home for family vacation

The house was just as pictured. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we would need. It was handy to have pack n play and games for the grand kids. It was close enough to many hikes and a little longer drive to Olympic National Park. The weather was cool so we didn’t take advantage of the pool or beach but they looked lovely. We had no problems and had a great week here.

Lovely property, great owner!

I am a travel nurse and my husband and I stayed here during my recent assignment in Olympia. Though it was an hour drive each way to work, it was 100% worth it. Lyon was so easy to deal with and very responsive. The house and community were amazing. Hiking trails and beautiful beaches all over the island. The house itself was very clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable. The master bedroom was amazing..it is huge, with a nice soaking tub in the bathroom. We would definitely rent this house again!

Awesome get away

Had a really great time here, enjoyed the beaches and trails. Download the key code and patrol cell number before you get to the island. We arrived after business hours and couldn’t get patrol to answer from the call box. Then someone let us follow them through gate but we didn’t have cell service to pull up the key code. The pool was fantastic, nice and warm and not crowded. The house was very spacious and well stocked. Appreciated being able to bring our dog with us and even off leash on the beaches.

Exactly what we wanted

This home/community center was exactly what our family wanted for a short summer vacation. The home is a quiet, relaxing design at a great value and is close to a fun community center that is perfect for families. We could easily have spent 3-4 more days. The home itself is spacious, comfortable, and easy to use. The community center is an easy walk for kids, has a great pool/hot tub, and a pool/ping pong table that kept our crew entertained for days. The beach is a short bike ride or walk away and has great views of Rainier and shell hunting at low tide. We would have loved kayaking and trail walking if we had extra time. The home has great games and fun activities. The only thing that could have been improved is that the DVD player would not work (user error?).

Phenomenal

Came with 4 kids, 4 adults, and a newborn. The house was equipped with everything we needed for the whole family. We enjoyed every moment, even the rainy days. Kayaking, basketball, tennis, hikes, ping pong, board games at the clubhouse, grilling, movies. Saw a lot of seals. Ate Dungeness crab. Made fires at the spit. One thing to note (I might have missed in the listing) - this property isn’t on the water, though the development has miles of private beaches. So you need a tow hitch to get the kayaks to the beach. Thankfully we had one. Thanks Lyon for this incredible slice of Pacific Northwest magic.

Excellent spot for families, especially with young children!

We loved staying at Lyon's property! As someone who grew up coming to Hartstene Pointe, it was magical to be back and bring my kids for the first time. The house had plenty of space for kids to run around (we had four toddlers between two couples) and not feel cramped. There were lots of games, puzzles, stuffed animals, movies, etc. The house had a well stocked kitchen - including pots, pans, bakeware, utensils, seasonings, etc. The bedrooms were nicely equipped too, with a sound machine, fans, pack and play, etc. We visited in the winter, so we didn't get to access ALL that Hartstene has to offer, but even in the cold weather we were able to go on walks, ride our bikes, go down to the beach, and enjoy the clubhouse. I had a few questions right when we got to the property and Lyon was great about promptly responding. Don't forget to leave a note in the guest book they have out. A thoughtful touch to read about others experiences at the home. We would ABSOLUTELY stay again, it was a fantastic home and perfect for families.

We are a family of four who live in Seattle. We have spent many weeks at the Pointe and love the slow, quiet pace--plus the beaches, trails, pool and tennis courts. As our kids have grown, we are using it less and less, so we thought it would be great to open it up to others to enjoy.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

Island vacation. No ferry hassle. You can park your car and not get back in it throughout your stay. Everything at the Pointe is bikable or walkable. Cars drive slow--15MPH is strictly enforced and followed. So, you always feel safe on the roads, but there is almost always a trail to walk on that parallels the road as well.

2 sit-on top kayaks and bikes are available for renters. If you bring your own (also recommended) then there is a garage to leave them in. There are also beach toys and beach chairs and other outdoor games including fishing gear, pickle ball rackets and tennis rackets. You will not want to leave!
