Welcome to Holland Road in west London, an area resplendent with elegant houses with whitewashed walls and entrances with pillars, a very desirable area of London in which to live. Now you have the chance to experience staying in an area of the capital where houses cost 7-figure sums. But, of course, thanks to your hosts and Airbnb, you can stay for much less.

This luxury 4 bedroom property is ready to make you and your fellow guests feel really welcome and comfortable. The whole place is presented to a very high standard, with plenty of room for everyone to relax and socialize. The living area features everything you’d expect to find in a modern home. An inviting sofa. A flat screen television. A dining table with room for everyone to sit down together for a formal meal, a quick snack, even a games session. Other features that make a home a home are all here, including houseplants and prints on the walls.

The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances that make living easy, so you can cook for yourselves on those nights you don’t eat out or grab a takeaway. And there are no less than 3 bathrooms in this Londoner property, so you can all get ready in good time to go out and do whatever you’ve got planned for your time in London.

As for the 4 bedrooms, well, they are all simply first class, with beds featuring comfortable mattresses, plumped up pillows and quality bedding. Our family of four had a wonderful 9 night stay. The location was quite convenient for us as we had easy access to the Tube, Hyde Park, and plenty of restaurants on the days where we had dinner nearby. We have two adult children so it was nice to spread out as all of the beds were quite comfortable. If you have a car, keep in mind that the nearby parking lots can be expensive and parking out front is by permit only. So, if you don’t have a car, everything is easy. If you do have a car, just keep this in mind. Great communication from Vincenzo and I would recommend staying here, even if you don’t need the 4th bedroom.

Fun in London

First, host Vincenzo was amazing to work with. He stayed in communication with us before our trip, checked in on us during our stay, and responded to all of our questions, quickly and thoroughly. He definitely made us feel very welcome in his property. The fans throughout the apartment were a must. It definitely got hot, especially on the third floor in the afternoons. We were visiting at the end of July. One suggestion I would like to make to help make the property a bit more comfortable for the guests that are not staying in the Primary bedroom, would be to add shelving in the landing area next to the guest bathroom or to add shelving in the guest bathroom, to allow guests to put out makeup, hair brushes, basic toiletries, etc so all of the stuff people use for hygiene doesn’t have to go back in a bag every day or sit on the floor. Also, a small mirror in the small bathroom on the the first landing with the first bedroom would be a helpful feature. Otherwise, the property is beautiful and well decorated. The large kitchen and dining area was great! We had a very nice time sitting around and hanging out in the kitchen/dining area. Also, the location of the property is wonderful! The tube, the buses, taxi’s, and Ubers are all easily accessible. I would recommend this place to any of my friends and family.

Never a great sign when you check in and wonder if you’re in the right place. The photos in the listing were completely different, which is deceiving. The furnishings weren’t great and no attention given to how guests will use a space, such as a hook to hang a bath towel. The fans provided in two of the three upstairs bedrooms barely worked, and it was warm. Check in instructions never arrived through Vrbo app or via email; went through Vrbo to get the host’s phone number and instructions were provided day of check in via WhatsApp. Location was great: walking distance to Kensington, tube and bus stations, a corner market for sundry items.

We have to admit that we were extremely surprised to read this review, as none of the concerns mentioned were raised with us at any point before, during, or after your stay. For clarification to future guests, our check-in instructions were sent via WhatsApp prior to check-in. We use WhatsApp specifically because it allows us to provide video instructions and other multimedia that cannot easily be shared through the Vrbo messaging system. Regarding the photographs, we take any suggestion that a listing may be misleading extremely seriously and will be raising this directly with Vrbo for further clarification. In relation to the bathrooms, towel radiators are provided and are commonly used by our guests to hang and dry towels during their stay. London also experienced unusually warm weather during this period. In addition to the fans originally provided, the property has since been equipped with two portable air-conditioning units, which are working effectively and have helped to keep the apartment cool and comfortable during the recent warmer weather. What is particularly disappointing is that we were never given the opportunity to address any of these concerns during your stay. Our team is readily available to guests and, had any issue with a fan, the check-in information, or any other aspect of the property been reported, we would have been more than happy to assist promptly. We remain surprised by the content and severity of this review given that no concerns were communicated to us at any stage, but we nevertheless take all guest feedback seriously and will be reviewing the points raised. Not only is this a great property in which stay on your visit to London, it’s also located in an affluent and attractive area of London. The road is full of elegant properties that are bright and welcoming, and you will be close to many of London’s most popular tourist spots. These include:

The Olympia Exhibition Centre - just 3 minutes walk away, it really makes sense to stay here if you are attending or working at an event at this very popular venue.

There are plenty of top class bars, shops and restaurants within a 10 minute walk of the property, including The Ivy, Kensington.

The Westfield Shopping centre at Shepherd’s Bush/White City is just up the road.

You also have the green and open space of Holland Park even closer to the home, a great place for a jog or brisk stroll, or a spot of sunbathing.

London Underground, Overground and railway services all stop at the Kensington Olympia station which is less than 3 minute’s walk from here, so you will be well connected to the rest of London by the transport network. Plenty of destinations are within easy walking or cycling distance too, or you can always order an Uber, hail a cab or catch a bus to wherever in London you need to get to next!
