Classic Crested Butte

Located on the coveted west side of town, this charming Crested Butte home is both classic and modern. Its convenient location delivers endless outdoor activities that begin right from the front porch. The restaurants and shops in downtown are just 2 1/2 blocks away, the free CB/Mnt. CB shuttle stop is a 1/2 block walk. Here , you can truly enjoy in town Crested Butte living - this 2 bedroom, 3 bath home is perfect for families and friends wanting a quiet, central location.
A cozy front porch surrounded by a beautiful flower garden welcomes you to this historic home, which was initially a 1880's cabin built in the nearby townsite of Irwin and moved to CB in 1900. Now remodeled, the first floor features 1 bedroom with queen bed, dinning area, free standing gas stove, living room, TV area, open kitchen, and 2 full baths. A small work area with desk leads you out to the private fenced yard and grill. The upstairs master suite includes a separate lounge area for television watching, yoga or an extra sleeping space. Large master bedroom with king bed. Master bathroom includes twin sinks, a steam shower, and oversized tub. Enjoy all the amenities Crested Butte has to offer. Off street parking for 2 vehicles. The neighborhood is friendly and quiet, comprised of locals and guest.
Weather in Colorado can be extreme and change quickly and often any time of the year. Guest understands and accepts all travel and personal related risk and agrees that a refund will not be given due to cancellation or delay by guest. I recommend guest purchase travel insurance if this a concern.
Available to renters 35 and older. Childern welcome with parents and guardians.
We appreciate the property being left in broom-clean condition so as to not add to cleaning cost.
We provide a clean home stocked with a starter kit of supplies. If supplies are depleted and need to be replaced the guest is responsible for replacement.
Additional cleaning services may be arranged during your visit. Please contact host 48 hours in advance (fees apply).

Nightly rates do not include 18.4% Town of Crested Butte lodging tax.

Mountain memories

This was such an excellent property. David was a great host and the home was so clean and had everything we could have needed. The location of the home can’t be beat- within walking distance to everywhere in downtown Crested Butte.

Wildflowers Abound

We came to enjoy the CB wildflowers and to visit our son who lives in Gunnison. I like to be walking distance to downtown so the car can stay parked most of the time. The location is easy walking distance from downtown CB and the Mountain Express bus to Mt. Created Butte. It was very comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped for as much cooking or baking as you would want to do. Sitting in the backyard for breakfast or in the afternoon was great. There are 3 full baths, one with a tub only and one with a shower only: the primary has both with double sinks and there are reading books on both levels and lots of books. There are lots of beautiful hanging and in-ground flowers. The bones of the home are 130 years old so be prepared for some creeks in the upstairs hardwood flooring. There were 3 of us and it worked great. We would gladly return.

Wonderful Stay in Crested Butte

This cozy cabin was perfect for our week in Crested Butte Location was great, house was comfortable and well equipped and the outdoor space in the back was great . Dave was a very hospitable host and checked in a couple of times during our stay to make sure we didn't need anything. Thanks!

Comfortable house in a convenient location

My family of four enjoyed our summer stay at the Poppy Pad. The flowers at the house were amazing and everyday passers by would shout out compliments. Nice porch for relaxing.

Awesome place!

This property had everything we needed. It is in the perfect location. We walked for coffee every morning and walked to dinner at night. Would totally recommend for a family of 4.

Great Town and Great Location

Just returned from a wonderful visit to Crested Butte. We rented the Poppy House for 5 nights. The location is great and the flowers beautiful. The house was clean and well maintained. There were 2 couples so plenty of room. The upstairs can easily accommodate a small family. They had the necessary amenities (foil, zip lock bags, plastic cups) which is always nice. The pot/pan selection wasn't great if you'd planned to make a meal there. For us this was no problem as the town has many great restaurants to eat at. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Lovely home in the heart of town within walking distance to restaurants and markets.

The home is a very tastefully renovated old mountain town jewel with all the extras to make one's stay restful and easy. The kitchen is central to the house with an open concept. The beds are super comfortable with warm duvas, the baths are large with Jacuzzi tubs in two of the three baths and a steam shower in the master. There are two "entertainment" rooms, one upstairs and one down. The feeling in the home that we experienced was one of being enveloped in loving arms!

Very nice Crested Butte house.

This house is in a great location to walk to restaurants and shops. Has all you need for a pleasant and comfortable stay. Flowers were an added bonus! We would definitely stay again.

Cozy, fully stocked space in a great location close to town!

Loved our stay! Dave was great and close by if we needed anything. House was a good fit for our family of 4. Perfect location in walking distance to restaurants, shops, and trails. Hope to return soon!

Super clean, spacious, comfortable, amazing location

We had an absolutely amazing stay the week of the 4th. The owner, Dave, is amazingly friendly and helpful, always around if you need anything! The first thing we told him when we got the tour was how the pictures did not do his house justice! Completely spacious, surprisingly so, well appointed, and very well designed with high quality amenities! The location is a block or two from Main Street, just far enough for the peace and quiet, but close enough to never need to get in a car. It was just the two of us, but we could have easily invited a few more couples to join us! The place has three full bathrooms, which is not evident from the photos. The front porch is the BEST setting for an early evening happy hour with a glass of wine and snacks and the backyard is even better (again, told Dave he needs to post a photo!). Don't hesitate to book this house for a family get away, or a romantic weekend. We've been staying in CB for 20 years and this is the BEST VRBO we have ever stayed in!!

Excellent location and owner very accommodating

We went to Crested Butte to visit with our son and couldn't have found a more perfect place. Everything was clean, comfortable, nice kitchen, and perfect location. The owner, Dave, was available for anything we needed. Thanks again and we hope to come back again!!!
