The above review is inaccurate and from a guest who lies (see below). The review has been reported to VRBO. 1) The guest cancelled their own reservation and they couldn’t figure out how to use the VRBO system, nor did they read the cancellation policy before they booked (not the fault of the host). 2) The complained about the heater once, and I told them to turn up the temperature. When I went into the unit when they checked-in, it felt like 75 degrees. The guests were very sensitive to temperature. After they turned up the temperature, they never complained again. I also had the heater serviced to improve efficiency, not fix a temperature issue. 3) The TV gets Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Netflix, as advertised. I never listed the property as having cable TV. Again, the guests don’t read anything, and they were confused about the TV capabilities. It is a Smart TV that does not have cable, which is what is listed, and what they received. 4) The washer and dryer is in the basement, and is maintained and clean. There aren’t any issues with this item, they are just being nit-picky. 5) The unit is not advertised as having a dishwasher, so they shouldn’t be surprised it doesn’t have one. There was a sink stopper in both sinks and they did not use them. I don’t know why they are making up issues, but this is a lie. 6) The neighbors have one dog, not three. The guest left their dog unattended routinely, and I don’t know why the guests think I can control the neighbor’s dogs, but I can’t. They should have controlled their dog more. 7) The guests had a $150 damage deposit that was insufficient at covering the clogged drain upon their departure. This is a simple issue. It worked fine prior to their arrival, and was clogged when they checked-out. As anyone knows, I don’t have the capability to “block reviews.” These guests were senile and I shouldn’t have allowed them to re-book their reservation after they cancelled on their own behalf. They should have respected the fact that I allowed them to re-book after spending many additional hours ensuring their reservation was re-booked and they were happy with their reservation. They never complained to me other than once for the temperature and TV, which was resolved immediately. Don’t trust these guests who lie.
