Great stay, in lovely apartment with AMAZING views

We had a great stay, with some of the best views we have ever seen. The apartment is lovely, plenty of space, well equipped and I enjoyed the parking challenge ! Great communications with the owner.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and very much enjoyed our stay despite the constant heavy rainfall eliminating our view of the lake. The unit is very clean and comfortable and the kitchen is adequate if you’d like to prepare your own meal. Be advised: the driveway on the property is extremely steep and narrow due to high walls on both sides. You would do well to have a vehicle with 4-wheel-drive but not a large vehicle either. We made it in and out multiple times but you must never let your foot off the gas when going uphill. We drove a Ford Puma and it was adequate. While check-in was easy, I would recommend that the hosts give more precise directions to the building by using a line drawn on a map instead of using landmarks. You can easily get yourself into an extremely narrow (or even undrivable) roadway if you make a wrong turn. Regardless, we enjoyed the apartment very much and were comfortable once we got there. The nearby town of Stresa offers many great meals and of course the Borromean Islands are worth the trip! Thank you for a great stay!

Perfect stay

Waking up to the amazing view of Lago Maggiore was the highlight of our trip. We so enjoyed our peaceful mornings and evenings on the large balcony. The apartment was clean and comfortable as well. Maciek was a wonderful host and a great communicator throughout the process. Highly recommend this property!

Breathtaking view!

Wonderful, comfortable apartment! A bit remote, but worth it. There is a great cafe in Stropino only 5 minutes away for coffee or dinner. Enjoy a terrace with jaw dropping views! Communication was best ever!

Just beautifull

Excellent choice to stay for a few days near Stresa at Lago Maggiore. Very neat appartment with large balcony and magnificent biew on the lake and mountains. You don't want to close the curtains at night! Check-in and check-out was very easy with all the information provided by Maciek.

Peaceful and breathtaking view of the lake

My 5 stars say it all about the cleanliness of the place, the quality of the place, the kindness of the owner ! If you need to rest and breathe just book this place : morning sunrise on the huge terrace is an amazing moment that can only be matched by sunset lunch at the same place with that mind blowing view. Thanks that was a very good time for me and my daughter! Regards

Lovely apartment with spectacular views!

The apartment is in a lovely spot with spectacular views across Lago Maggiore, and within easy driving distance of Stresa. The check-in process was simple, and Brenda and Maciek communicated very quickly and clearly. Their list of recommendations in the area were all excellent! We would highly recommend Brenda and Maciek’s apartment.

A place with a view

We had a very pleasant stay in Magognino, a quiet and welcoming little village. The apartment was lovely, comfortable, clean, well equipped and with a spectacular view over Lago Maggiore. We got to meet Maciek, the owner, very welcoming and helpful. Thank you, Maciek for taking the time to meet us!

Driving

Apartment was well appointed. You must have a car and be a good driver because you must drive into Stresa to eat or shop. We were charged 20 euros for towels and sheet but the listing said they were included. Beautiful view of the lake!!!

Thank you for your review. With regards to your comments, the listing clearly describes the apartment's location and distance to shops and restaurants. The information about towels and linens is also provided, both in the listing and in the confirmation we send to our guests upon booking. The rental of our towels and linens is always optional as many of our guests actually prefer to bring their own. Wonderful Lake Maggiore

Best communication with flat owner we've ever had. Immediate reply to all our questions. Flat with great view but a bit to far away to buy quickly some bread rolls, etc. We enjoyed the trip to LM with best weather. Special tip: Lago Maggiore Express and of course the small islands.

Bella Stresa

Lovely, clean and large apartment, exactly as outlined. Beautiful wrap around balcony with tremendous views of Lake Maggiore. Watched a great fireworks display in Stresa from our balcony last night. The only downfall with this apartment is there are no restaurants or food stores available in the small village and the drive to Stresa is by an incredibly narrow and winding road.

Thank you for the review, Jay... we really appreciate it. The shortest route down to Stresa (about 4 km) is via a regular road which does get somewhat narrow in a couple of places, though nothing too extreme. Another option to get down to Stresa is via the motorway which comes down almost to the lake near the neighboring town of Baveno. It may be a bit longer but it's wide enough for large trucks and buses. And yes, Stresa and other lakeside towns offer numerous dining options but we do have a nice local restaurant in nearby Stropino (just about 1 km from the apartment) which is close enough to get to by foot. For food, except for a small wine and cheese shop in the village center (about 200 meters away), most shopping needs to be done either in Stresa or any one of the other supermarkets within the area (roughly 10 minutes by car). Great View!

The apartment is awkward getting to unless you have a small car, but once inside it’s all worth it. It is tastefully furnished. We only had 2 nights there and unfortunately we were out all day, so we were really there just evenings and early mornings. Suggestion for sightseeing is go to Stresa and after seeing it, take the Lake Maggiore Express Tour. The train pass wasn’t opened yet so we did the ferry up and back down, but Locarno was beautiful!

Fabulous views over Maggiore and a comfortable flat

The apartment is high up on the hillside looking over the lake. It is a wonderful location in a small village about 3 miles from Stresa. The flat was very comfortable and the balcony was lovely to relax on and to admire the view. There are also some good walks that pass through the village. It does feel a bit remote even in the village and the garage for the car is up a very very steep slope. Stresa was very touristy at the weekend but quiet in the week.

The apartment was superb - we loved it - and the views from the balcony were stunning. The owners, Maciek and Brenda could not have been more helpful in providing very detailed directions to the apartment, which could be tricky if you went the wrong way, plus they gave so much helpful information regarding things to do in the area. We found some very nice walks that you could do from the village - there was a detailed map on the roadside just before you enter Magognino. The apartment was very well equipped and very comfortable. The ramp up to the garage was steep but unless you had a car that was very low to the ground, you will be ok. We were very sad to leave but hope to return one day. Thank you Maciek and Brenda.

Ruim appartement met een ruim terras, super mooi uitzicht over het meer.Jammer dat er in Magognino geen voorzieningen zijn, voor alles moet je naar beneden naar Stresa. Stresa is wel een erg mooi plaatsje.

L’appartement est situé dans un charmant village. Il est spacieux, très bien équipé, en très bon état avec une belle terrasse et une vue extraordinaire sur le lac majeur! Nous avons reçu beaucoup d’informations sur l’appartement mais aussi des conseils de visite alentours. Court séjour sur le lac Majeur
