Our Montana House- This Place Will Capture Your Spirit!

“Our Montana House”

• Built in 2005, Our Montana House will sleep up to eight people.
• Available for daily or weekly rental.
• A beautiful 1,650 square foot ranch house with three bedrooms and two full baths. The Elk Room (master bedroom) has a queen-size bed with its own private bathroom. The Wolf Room has a queen-size bed in it. The Falls Room has two full-size beds in it. There is a full bathroom between these two bedrooms.
• One-car garage.
• Amenities include: Two queen beds and two full beds, Back deck with picnic table, Satellite TV with DVD/VCR, Microwave, Electric range, Dishwasher, Washer and Dryer, Gas grill, DVD/ MP3 Stereo music system, WiFi internet. We also provide linens, towels, all paper products, soaps, detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Located in the small quiet neighborhood of Lazy Acres, six miles west of West Yellowstone, Montana.
• Ten minutes from Yellowstone National Park. Our Montana House borders the Gallatin National Forest.
• Fish Central--25 minutes from the Henry’s Fork and Madison River.
• A well-decorated home away from home for the discriminating lodger.

We loved staying at this property! It was in the perfect location with close access to YNP but secluded enough to provide comfort and privacy. There are stunning views from the front porch, as well, and a cute back porch to relax on in the evening. The house was also well-stocked with everything (kitchen items, loads of towels, etc.).

Snowmobile getaway

The property was a wonderful way to enjoy West Yellowstone. It was a short drive to town and the views from the property are amazing. I would highly recommend it!

Perfect distance from the park!

We came to take our 6 children to Yellowstone. The home was comfortable for everyone and had all the amenities we needed. We appreciated staying near the park.

Absolutely Great!

Rental is excellent, host provides so much information for visiting Yellowstone. Cabin is extremely comfortable with so many extras! Garage and rear deck is a great bonus. We were able to enjoy company in the form of a moose right off the deck. Host goes out of their way to make sure every guest is comfortable and will even help plan your national park tour. Be sure to read all of the host's guides and tips, makes your visit that much better! Beds are comfortable, great water pressure, plenty of hot water and a very well stocked kitchen and pantry. Even has binoculars, spotting scope, coolers and bear spray you can borrow. Highly recomend!

Location location

The house was awesome. Clean and well stocked. Great location- only 8 miles to Yellowstone National Park! Fran was easy to get in touch with. I will definitely stay here next time I am in town.

Great home base for Yellowstone National Park

Close to West Yellowstone and the West entrance to the park. Very quite neighborhood and a well stocked home. We spent time at the house relaxing and several days in the park. We saw a lot of wildlife every day and 13 bears in the park. Including mama grizzly with 3 cubs and a black bear with year old cubs. Great all around experience.

Wonderful House

The house was comfortable and really clean. The kitchen was well stocked and had decent pots and pans. Our host is really nice and responsive. We filled the hummingbird feeder and had delightful little visitors the whole week. It was a great place to stay to visit Yellowstone. We spent a couple of chill days at Henry’s Lake State Park in Idaho, which was very low key and they had kayaks we could borrow. It’s very close to the house.

My family stayed in this ...

My family stayed in this house for 5 nights in August, 2009. The house was exactly as stated and Fran the owner was extremely helpful and actually helped us plan our itinerary for our stay. Only a few miles from West Yellowstone entrance and very close to a little rodeo that my kids really enjoyed. House had everything we needed. Note that there is no photo on this website of the view from the front of the house which is unfortunate as it is very pretty. Beats any hotel stay and we will be back for sure!

We love "Our Montana House"

This is our second time staying at Our Montana House. The house is so well stocked you will not need to bring anything but food and your family. Fran has all of the books, hiking maps and info you will need about the park on the book shelf by the kitchen/den area so you don't need to bring these either. We loved coming back "home" after our long days in the park. The house is spotlessly clean when you arrive and is very well taken care of. If there are any problems Fran has a caretaker who responds very quickly to any questions or concerns you may have. We highly recommend this home - and Yellowstone as always is a world unto itself.

Great location to West Yellowstone Entrance!

The house was situated in a nice, quiet neighborhood that had a great mountain view in front and was only about a 10-15 minute drive from the West Yellowstone entrance which was a great location for us and we loved the town of West Yellowstone, very friendly people! Fran was very communicative and easy to reach throughout the whole process and he gave such wonderful recommendations on activities/things to do in Yellowstone and the surrounding areas plus restaurant and other suggestions which we used a lot of them! It was the little things that counted as well, he had coolers and binoculars to borrow plus a hummingbird feeder so we had a lot of hummingbirds visiting us on the back porch which was nice. The house was very well equipped, from napkins to suntan lotion, board games and sets of cards, etc., they have really thought of everything! The house itself was very clean and there was a lot of room for everyone, the kitchen was big and we used the BBQ grill one night as well. It was great to make breakfast in the morning, head out with our cooler full of lunch and get back in the evening to either cook dinner or eat dinner in town at some of the great restaurants in West Yellowstone. We really enjoyed eating at Bullwinkles and the Slippery Otter (best burgers in town)! I would highly recommend staying at Fran's house if you are visiting the Yellowstone area and we would definitely book here again, thanks Fran for a wonderful experience and memories we will never forget!

Fantastic home and location!

My family and I really enjoyed staying at this property! The owner is fantastic and offered more than what we even expected! We had everything we needed and more. SO close to YNP and town! The owner has detailed instructions in a binder and also a suggested itinerary which is terrific! We even had a little surprise visit from the owners dog which totally made our day! At night, the back deck is the perfect spot for viewing stars, seeing several shooting stars, and also multiple satellites! It was beyond amazing! Overall, a great property and owner as well!

Awesome location, very clean and comfortable

2 adult couples stayed for 5 nights. Close in location provides easy access to town and the park. Loved the loan of coolers, which allowed us to pack our meals to enjoy in the park. Kitchen was well equipped.
