Peaceful, high-quality countryside retreat

We loved our stay at East Trenean Farm and highly recommend it. The rural setting was ideal for relaxing in peace and tranquillity, and the stargazing on clear nights was exceptional. The hot tub was a firm favourite with my niece and nephew. Inside, the accommodation was finished to a very high standard and well equipped with everything we could need. Graham and Jane were excellent hosts - always on hand and quick to reply whenever we had questions or needed support.

Family Celebration

We stayed at the Corn Barn with our sons, their wives and 2 grandsons to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and the birthdays of both our daughters in law. The grade 2 listed buildings have been converted to a high level of finish. The kitchen is very well equipped, the garden is well maintained equipped with a large bbq. The private hot tub is situated a short walk away. Here it is possible to unwind after a day exploring the surrounding area and nearby Looe and look out onto open countryside and the sea in the distance.

Excellent all round

Everything you could possibly need is provided. We booked the Linhay and the Corn Barn as there were 9 of us, but the Corn Barn allowed us all to get together. We had groceries delivered to the door on our first evening and a Chinese takeaway on another evening.

Nothing short of excellence

I have to say as a seasoned traveller and booker of accommodation plus being in the business myself for over 20 years, I have not seen such great quality before in self catering accommodation. They have thought of everything. From the quality of the crockery and cutlery (plus the quantity of it) to the tiny detail like the hair bobbles for those with long hair to use when getting in the hot tub. Quality shower gels and shampoo. All beds (which are really comfortable) can be made into twins. The living space has loads of seating - the outside area with BBQ and large table. This place would be great for a couple of families staying for Christmas as there is a log burner with logs and matches supplied. the wooden beams and superb paintings all made this place feel cozy and welcoming. We had an amazing time. Thanks so much to the hosts for the welcome and for being so accommodating. We will definitely return one day.

Amazing stay in superb accommodation!

East Trenean Farm is a really lovely place to stay and Corn Barn was stunning. It was perfect for all our needs and so comfortable. Jane & Graham were very welcoming hosts and had thought of absolutely everything! We would highly recommend and very much look forward to revisiting in the future.

A perfect family stay

I did so much research in preparing for our family holiday and I honestly think East trenean is a hidden gem. So clean, well equipped and quiet. In a perfect location to discover south Cornwall. Highly recommend

5* accommodation and location

Fantastic place to stay. The Corn barn had all the amenties and more that we needed, and the kitchen seemed to have every utensil you could ever need too! Graham and Jane where helpful and on hand if we ever needed anything. This is a lovely place to stay and if we ever go back to Cornwall we will certainly be checking if this place is available again for our stay.

The Corn Barn

The perfect place to explore the southern coast of Cornwall from. Very clean, comfortable and corona virus restrictions were implemented very thoroughly yet unobtrusively.

Brilliant short break away

We had such an amazing time at East Trenean Farm. Graham and Jane were very accommodating and would help when needed. The cottage is beautiful with ample space and is full of everything you need. The area itself is very tranquil and there’s lots to do in the surrounding areas. We would love to visit again!

Amazing property! Very clean and well equipped. Hot tub situated in lovely garden with amazing views

We stayed in the Corn Barn for a week and had an amazing time. The property is situated in a lovely setting with great gardens. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner Jane & Graham who were very welcoming and showed us around. We had use of our own hot tub which overlooked the lovely country side. We can only recommend this property.

Heaven of earth

We had the pleasure of staying in the Corn Barn recently at East Trenean Farm. I couldn’t fault it! It has a warm, homely feel and is the perfect rural escape from city life. Jane and Graham are wonderful hosts, I particularly love the food hamper when I arrive! It’s always a pleasure to visit and so hard to leave, I’ll be returning very soon I’m sure.

Ideal for short break

Corn barn is beautifully set up to accommodate a large family group. With sunshine front and back the barn presents a great welcome, however, on entry some might find the interior a little too dark. The decor compensates and the range of gadgetry is of a superior quality. Bedrooms are all of a good size and beds extremely comfortable There are lovely views from upstairs windows The hot tub is a short distance away buy has wonderful views

Corn Barn Cottage

Our stay at East Trenean Farm was truly unforgettable. Our group — four adults and four children — found the cottage to be the perfect getaway. Even on rainy days, there was no shortage of entertainment, from board games to the inviting warmth of the hot tub. The location was fantastic, just a short drive from Looe Beach, making seaside trips effortless. We also loved exploring the scenic outdoor walks around the farm, and the outdoor play area was a wonderful bonus for the children. East Trenean Farm offers a fantastic balance of relaxation, adventure, and family-friendly fun. We can’t wait to visit again!

Simply superb

Corn barn was spacious and comfortable with top quality appliances, crockery, furniture and decor. The property is perfect for families with children or an extended family group. One can easily spend a day relaxing at the property without being bored. Within Corn Barn there is a small library of paperbacks and DVDs as well a number of board games for all ages. Every facility is available to accommodate young children and toddlers.

Fantastic cottage

We had the most wonderful stay at East Trenean Farm - Corn Barn. It truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm, welcoming, and beautifully cared for. The cottage itself is stunning, with charming character features blended perfectly with modern comforts. Every room was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully decorated, creating a cosy yet luxurious atmosphere. The location was absolutely ideal—peaceful and scenic, with lovely views. It felt like a true escape from everyday life. Inside, the cottage was incredibly well-equipped; everything we needed was provided, and it was clear that a lot of care had gone into making guests feel at home. One of the highlights was how tranquil everything felt—perfect for unwinding. Whether enjoying a morning coffee outside or settling in for a cosy evening, it was simply perfect. The hot tub added an extra wow it was so relaxing especially the nice touch of bathrobes supplied! We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

A fabulous holiday!

We've just has a fabulous holiday at The Corn Barn. Graham and Jane were excellent hosts replying promptly to our queries. We were five adults and two children aged four who absolutely loved the playground! We found the lay-out of the kitchen and living room was perfect for preparing and serving food and also keeping an eye on the children. We cooked all our evening meals at the house especially as the kitchen was SO well-equipped. The Hot Tub was really enjoyable after a day sitting on a pebbly beach! The views were wonderful from the hot tub making it completely relaxing. We loved the bath robes provided. We were blessed with good weather visiting Looe, Fowey, Ready Money Bay (beautiful!) and Talland Bay which were all a short drive away. We walked the coastal path next to Lansallos which has breathtaking views. The highlight of the week was the Eden Project! I just wish I lived nearer and could visit it more often.

Lovely accommodation

A lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Very comfortable, well equipped and luxurious. Everything was provided that they said would be and in excellent condition and very clean. The hot tub was lovely. Clean, easy to use and plastic glasses provided in the kitchen. We watched the sheep and birds in the fields from the hot tub each evening. Very friendly and helpful hosts who kindly recommended some fabulous places - although there was a lot of information provided online and in the cottage in very easy to use folders. We loved body boarding and rock pools at Talland beach (good cafe for sandwiches and coffee there), the Sardine Factory restaurant in Looe, the Sw coastal walk from Talland to Polperro and back (with lunch on the roof terrace of The Three Pilchards looking over Polperro). There were lots of small touches that were useful - lots of storage, hanging pegs, space to dry clothes inside and outside, some useful things to arrive (soap, coffee, washing up liquid etc - we received a list in advance). Kids games and books which my kids used. We didn’t use the console as we had very good weather but it was set up for 4 people. The play area is lovely - we brought a football. Unfortunately the kids couldn’t feed the chickens due to bird flu restrictions but they liked seeing them, and the sheep. The bike storage is great too. Everything was set up thoughtfully to be convenient and easy for guests.

Perfect stay

We booked the Corn Barn for our bridal party of eight for our wedding nearby. We wanted something close to the church and also our reception venue that felt luxurious, which is quite limited in the immediate nearby area. I came across East Trenean Farm, and messaged the owners in November 2024 asking to reserve for 2026. The owner, Jane, was very accommodating and arranged the deposit with me via email. Jane was also very helpful when I contacted her ahead of our arrival to ask if we could hang our dresses on the morning of our arrival so that we didn't have to re steam dresses. The barn is beautiful and everyone said how comfortable it was. We had lovely weather and the barn kept surprisingly cool. The kitchen was very well stocked, and included everything you could possibly need. My only complaint was the coffee machine, and would suggest ground coffee with a cafetiere as an alternative :) thank you again x

Lovely to hear that the barn provided a beautiful location for special day and was comfortable keeping you cool. Thank you for the feedback regarding the espresso machine. We have added the QR code from the guest books to a stand next to the machine. The link is to the manufacturers 'how to' video, we hope makes things easier for guests. There are also 2 large cafeterias in the kitchen. We will monitor how things go.

Fantastic Stay

We booked for a 5-night stay across a birthday weekend, the barn was fantastic, on arrival Graham and Jane were friendly and helpful, showing us around the beautiful grounds and our private hot tub with views to the valley and sea. The barn was spotless, we had a lovely kitchen pack left for us with fresh milk and eggs from the farm hens, just all very personal and thoughtful. Our son and partner arrived later and were super surprised how nice this place is, 5 stars all the way. We plan to return next year to explore more of the area.

Wonderful family holiday

Gathering together 9 people was never going to be easy when planning a family holiday but staying at the Corn Barn made the week a pleasure. We had everything we needed and everyone was able to relax as soon as we arrived. The hot tub was well used and a very welcome addition at the end of a busy day walking and visiting some of Cornwall’s wonderful attractions. Our granddaughter enjoyed meeting the chickens too! Jane and Graham were available for any questions or issues and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely return for another visit and would happily recommend the Corn Barn to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful rural location.
