Blue Creek Resort is nestled in the heart of Pike County, Illinois - known to many as the Whitetail Deer hunting capital of the world. Whether you choose to drive in or fly in to the local airport, Blue Creek is just minutes away.

Added in 2023 - Pickleball! The tennis and basketball courts now have pickleball for you to enjoy. We have some generic paddles but encourage you to bring your own rackets if you are a seasoned player.

If you enjoy hunting and would like to have an experience in Pike County, please give us a call. Blue Creek's farm can comfortably accommodate up to 4 hunters at one time. We also have guests who hunt other farms in the area, but would like to bring extended family and take advantage of the private time away. Blue Creek Resort is perfect for you!
Whatever the time of year, or your heart's desire, Blue Creek Resort is calling and we would love to host you!

As you enter the resort, you may be greeted by one of the many deer who visit, or a flock of turkeys on their way to somewhere. Kids and adults, alike, enjoy the full basketball court, and regulation tennis court. If sports is not your game, you may want to take a nice stroll through the woods, or travel to Lake Pittsfield a short 2 mile drive where you can fish. This is a beautiful area for you to cast a reel, or simply sit and enjoy the wilderness that surrounds you.

In the summer and warmer months of the year, the 20x56 pool is open for your pleasure. Many guests enjoy sitting under the pavilion watching a baseball game while the kids swim. You may also wish to turn off the TV and turn on the outside stereo system. The lights on the courts will allow you to play games long after darkness has arrived.

There are so many amenities that come with the property, but the best Blue Creek Resort has to offer is the peace and serenity of your own private oasis. While you are a guest at Blue Creek, the entire resort belongs to you.
It is the perfect setting for a small venue wedding, family reunion, or informal business gathering. There is plenty of space surrounding the outdoor recreation area perfect for a small gathering.

Becky and Dave are excellent hosts. We had the best time. The 3 six year olds brought their bikes and had the best time pretending the front driveway was a race track. If you want to make great memories with your family I would highly recommend this house.

Awesome Stay at Blue Creek!

We had the best time staying here. My family of 20 stayed for 3 days and this place was perfect for our trip. The house was large enough to accommodate everyone comfortably and we had everything we needed. The pool area is awesome - everyone had an amazing time from the 2 year old to my 70 year old dad. A great place for kids. Communication was great and the owners were friendly and very helpful. Hope to come back again some day!

Great place. Even more space in bedrooms than expected. Very clean and neat property. Outdoor activities a real plus with plenty of yard space to set up games. In the country away from people and noises. Was a great place for our three generations from 1 to 80. Two large refrigerator/freezers. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of plates, silverware, etc. Loved it there.

We had a wonderful stay at Blue Creek Resort for our family getaway! The hosts are wonderful and very responsive! There is plenty to do - with lots of pool toys, noodles and floaties available. There were basketballs and pickle ball paddles on the property. With the lights over the court, we were able to stay up and play past dark. The outdoor/poolside area was ideal for eating meals, grilling, and watching kids play in the pool.

70th Anniversary Celebration

Everything went so smoothly on check-in and the whole week. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, except kitchen scissors. A minor inconvenience. Laundry facilities were provided and worked great! The pool was heated and delightful So much so the baby napped floating in the pool. The young adults enjoyed all the gaming facilities. Played tennis and basketball at night when it was a little cooler. Remarkable memories were made!

Such a fun getaway!

Awesome place!

We had a great vacation here! There were plenty of activities for all of the kids ranging from 3-23. One of the things we liked best was the covered area by the pool, it was always being used. The tennis court was a bonus & it was nice you could see it from the pool area. Our whole family enjoyed it & we would defiantly come back!

Family Get Away

This was the perfect place for our 10th annual four generation family reunion. The house and property were beautiful and just perfect for our weekend. I love that all of the outdoor activities were centrally located so my 98 year old grandma could be a part of everything going on with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Amazing property!

Our family was very impressed with everything at this beautiful resort. The room to spread out, the games and the quiet setting were awesome. And the pool was great! Plenty of seating around the pool, plenty of linens and towels. What more could a family want? Thank you McCartney's for our fantastic weekend!

3 Generations

We had a fantastic stay. Plenty of space for our large group. The pool and tennis courts were a big hits, and amazingly, no problem with mosquitoes. The kitchen had everything we needed for preparing meals, and the common areas were delightful spots for congregating. We definitely recommend this property and we plan to visit again!

In 2004 we lived in Pittsfield and had an opportunity to purchase this farm about 6 miles outside of town. We decided to buy it and build our dream home on it. After 13 years, many projects, two dogs, a gerbil, 4 children, and a career change, we decided that it was time to let others experience the beauty and serenity that is Blue Creek.

Several years ago we had someone offer to purchase our home - and they had never even been in it. They had flown over it for nearly a year and told us "you have the nicest property in Pike County and I want it." Well, at the time we weren't interested in selling it. His interest was primarily due to our unbeatable location. ( He somehow missed that gargantuan pool in the backyard and the regulation basketball and tennis courts!) While the home is only 1.3 miles from the interestate and less than 2 miles from the airport, it is also nearly 1/2 mile off the road - which means privacy AND convenience for you.
It is our deepest desire that you have a relaxing and connecting experience at BCR. Which is why we will greet you and take care of you during your stay. We live about 30 miles away and have management within minutes to handle any needs you may have. If we can make your stay better, we will.

There is not another property in Pike County which has all of the amenities we offer. You can take walks on the trails in the woods, fish in nearby Lake Pittsfield, swim from April to October, play basketball or tennis, lounge under the pavilion in the backyard while simultaneously cooking in the outdoor kitchen area, or simply read a book. This property truly has everything you need to "get away" . We invite you to come and relax, renew, and reconnect with what your heart needs.
