Our Guest Promise

We want you to arrive at a spotless home. If anything has been missed with the cleaning, please let us know straight away, and we will put it right as a priority. If we are unable to resolve it on the same business day, we will offer to move you to another property or refund you for the affected time!

Check-In

We’ll send your check-in instructions via email and SMS at 3 pm on your arrival day for check-in from 4 pm, once your damage deposit/waiver has been paid.

Damage Deposit

We work closely with our property owners to protect their homes and take damage deposits for all bookings. The day before check-in (or on the same day, if applicable), you’ll receive a 3D Secure link to select your preferred damage deposit option. The full deposit is simply pre-authorised on your card and released within 7 days of check-out if no breakages or damages are reported. Guests who prefer not to do a fully refundable damage deposit have the option of a one-off non-refundable damage waiver at a much lower cost.

Smoking

To keep our properties fresh and clean for all guests, smoking of any kind, leaving traces behind suggesting smoking of any kind, or vaping (including e-cigarettes), is not allowed indoors. Please smoke on the street or patio area, if available.

Noise

To help keep things peaceful for our neighbours, we kindly ask that noise be kept to a minimum between 10 pm and 8 am. We want you to have a great time. A little consideration goes a long way to making sure everyone can enjoy their evenings (and get a good night’s sleep!)
Not all properties can host hen, stag, or similar group celebrations. If you’re planning one, just drop us a message, and we’ll happily guide you to a property that can accommodate your group.
Please note that call-outs due to excessive noise or parties may incur a fee.

Pets

Check-Out

Check-out is by 11 am. Unauthorised late departures may incur a £50 per hour fee.

Before You Leave and as a consideration to future guests, please:

Wash up the used dishes.
Bag rubbish and use the correct recycling bins.
Return keys to the key safe (OR) Keynest location.
Switch off the lights.
Close all windows.
Turn down the heating.
These steps help us prepare for the next guests and save energy; every little bit counts.

Age Policy

The lead guest must be 21 or over. We cannot accept bookings where the majority of guests are under this age. If unsure, please contact us before booking please.

A Quick Note on Deposits and Property Care

If any of the above guidelines aren’t followed, we may need to make deductions from your deposit to cover additional cleaning or damages. We hope that’s never necessary!

Disappointed

Far too expensive for the quality provided. The house is very basic and small and not in a particually great location. We ended up being a group of 8 and even that felt a squeeze, it really would be quite uncomfortable with 10-12 people in it. There is one bathroom on one floor which serves 7 beds and a second ensuite off a three bed room (so just a point to note that only one bathroom is really accessible for 7 people). On arrival one of the rooms stank of cigarette smoke and another of damp/mould. I informed the letting company and they did respond quickly offering to come around with some form of fumagation machine but that would require us to be out the property. I didn't see the response (as was Hen activitying!) but in any event once you are in the property with all your belongings you don't really want to have to deal with people coming in etc but more to the point that should have been dealt with and used before our arrival, as you expect that is what the pre-clean is for. It was so pungent that it made one of the bedrooms unusuable. Location wise, its ok but not great, 20/25 min walk to the Laines/Brighton Main, again that just goes to price point and the fact that its a very small property, smelly and not that central. We had one noise alert when there was just 5 of us chatting in the living room, so again if there was a large group I think it would be very difficult not to trigger the noise alarm. It's basically far too expensive for the product on offer and I cannot imagine I am the first to complain. Mygetaways itself was very responsive and had good communications and the booking/check-in process was easy.
