Damage & House Rules Policy / Guest Responsibilities.
We inspect every condo at every check out. We again inspect every condo before every Guest Arrival.
We have documentation for each condo to assure the condo is good condition and working order before your arrival.
1) Guest is responsible to pay for any missing/broken/damaged items, extra check out cleaning & for a drain or toilet that requires clearing due to Guest clogging the drain or toilet. Every condo has a plunger for the toilet. If you clog the toilet, please use the plunger provided. Calling a Plumber is a Guest Expense. 2) Do not use the Kitchen Sink Garbage disposal for potato peels, fruit rinds, banana peels, pineapples, egg shells, noodles, rice etc. Calling a Plumber is a Guest Expense. 3) Sand: Please rinse off all sand (self and gear) before entering the hotel/condo (there are rinsing stations at the beach) to avoid extra cleaning fee and clogging the shower drains. 4) Lanai: Please do not hang towels or other items from the lanai. Please do not feed the birds. 5) No smoking in condo, on lanai or in common areas. Guest charged to have upholstery, drapes and linens cleaned, deodorized. 6) Guest responsible to pay for locksmith if they lock themselves out the of the bathrooms or damage a lock.

CANCELLATIONS:
1) Reservation deposit is non-refundable. 2) Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the check in date can have the deposit applied to another stay at the same condo within one year of the original check in date. 3) Cancellations made less than 60 days prior to check in will forfeit deposit. 4) Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to check in will forfeit deposit and rental balance payment. 5) We strongly encourage you to get travel insurance so a cancellation can be recovered.

Rentals are not transferable to another party.

The unit needs deep cleaning and renovation. Sticky kitchen cabinet doors. Very old and difficult to regulate faucets especially in the shower. Overall is clean but there is long accumulated dust in the corners. All Teflon coated cookware is scratched.

Awesome property! Great location, not so far into Wakiki, easy walk to Ala Moana Beach park. All the amenities that we needed were provided. Great hula entertainment and fireworks on Fridays. Bed was super comfortable and loved all the pillows. Great ocean and Mountain View.Will book again in the future.

Die Wohnung könnte neue und moderne Möbel bekommen auch die Küche, ansonsten war alles sehr schön.Die Aussicht zum Hafen hervorragend und der Sunset begeisternd.Würde wieder da Urlaub machen.

Stunning views for evening studying

I was fortunate to stay at the Ilikai during a course I was taking and the evening views of sunset were spectacular. The king size bed was very comfortable, , all kitchen appliances were provided, location is great as you can walk or take the city transit anywhere. This is not an updated unit. expect some Lino cracks and a basic shower, sink/ toilet. . I personally don’t need anything different but it was clean and had more amenities than I needed.i would definitely stay heee again

Condo was 'meh' but great location and lovely view

The condo was ok, The AC did not work well and it was uncomfortable quite a bit of the time even with the fans. We were either at the beach though or out exploring so it was not that bothersome to us. When needed, the wifi worked well. The couch was so uncomfortable that we only used it as a luggage rack, The kitchen was fine. We only used it to make coffee and toast for breakfast and to store beverages in the refrigerator. The condo was not overly clean when we arrived, the vinyl flooring had so many dents and small cuts that it looks more dirty than it was. The bed was comfortable though. The Ilikai is struggling and needs a lot of updating. The onsite restaurant, coffee shop and ice cream shop were closed during most of our stay due to electrical issues. Parking is expensive, so we parked in the marina behind the hotel. The location is the best part of the entire place. It is at the edge of the Waikiki beaches and hotels. Waikiki can get very busy with traffic. Getting in/out was made easier due to being on the end of the strip. As I said, it was ok, but I most likely would look for other accommodations if I am back in the area.

Great location and view

Great location as it is only an easy 5 minute walk to the beach in front of the Hilton. Beautiful views of the marina. King size bed was very comfortable. As mentioned in other reviews the unit could use some updating, especially the bathroom floor lino which shows a lot of signs of wear. The bathroom shower handle which was mentioned as malfunctioning in a review 4 months ago has not been fixed. The pictures show 4 patio chairs on the lanai however there were only 2 which was a problem when we had some friends over. Pictures of the lanai show 2 good quality Tommy Bahama padded fold-up beach chairs with carry straps but there are only 2 cheap beach chairs. Good location though so would stay again.

Ilikai stay

The place is clean. Great view of the ocean and marina. Parking is a bit of a challenge but we found garage parking at the next block. Hotel valet is always busy and backed up and expensive. The room itself could use quite a few upgrades. The shower head and the handle for hot and cold was a challenge. The bathroom also needs updating. The sink has a rust stain. The kitchen cabinets need updating. The oven lower cover part was coming off. The ac was leaking to the carpet and we always had to turn it off at night because the ac was so loud, it was annoying to sleep. We use the fan at night. It was kind of far from Waikiki beach. Away from the hustle and bustle if that is what you prefer though it’s far to walk if you want some kind of night life, go to waikiki beach, or international marketplace. Having said that, we only used the place to retire at night. We stayed for 10 days, and seemed like we were always out and about anyways.

Wonderful view and was enjoyed over our 3-week stay. We have stayed at the Ilikai in numerous units over the past 12 years. Unfortunately, this unit is very tired and needs updating (i.e. floors, kitchen, painting). We were surprised that a cutting board or a mattress cover was not provided.

The property was acceptable for the price. Nice location, close to shopping, restaurants, grocery, etc. Outside from the expected noise from visitors enjoying themselves in outside areas, the room was quiet and had nice views. We would stay again.

Great, just 1 notch from perfect.

Good clean property, with easy check in. It's the easy check in for me though. My wife and I really enjoyed the stay. The amenities are also very convenient a lil pricey, but that's not property owners fault. My wife got a massage right on site. We ate at Cinnamons which is a restaurant on site. If you eat pork, the Kalua pork Benedict is a perfect choice. It would be even more perfect if the sports package came with the cable, but you can't have everything I guess. A definite referral from me though...

Nice stay for the price

We enjoyed staying at the Ilakai Suites, it was a great location and close to many restaurants and had convenient beach access. The view of the marina from the condo made the stay worthwhile but the condo was outdated and could use an update especially in the kitchen and bathroom. For the cost and location we enjoyed our stay however it could have been made even more enjoyable if the condo was updated and better decorated in accordance with its beach front location.

Ideal location

The place is nicely appointed, clean, with a comfortable bed. It was wonderful to have beach chairs and towels to use. The kitchen could use some more utensils but there was enough for the two of us. I would definitely stay here again.

beautiful view

The room is beautiful and has a wonderful view. The sun shines into the room in the afternoon, so this gets hot and bright -- and the room has A/C and curtains if any of this bothers you. My low rating for cleanliness is because birds seem to like visiting the balcony/lanai, and the management company didn't take responsibility to clean the resulting mess. The rest of the room was spotless. Like many places in Hawaii, it is expected that you remove your shoes right after entering. The location is 5 minutes from the beach and 15 minutes from the Ala Moana shopping center. Buses to different parts of the island stop very near the main entrance to the hotel. Overall I was very happy with my stay, and may stay again in the future.

Love the suite location and the view!

Had lots of travel plans during January- second stay at the Ilikai in 2 weeks. The view was spectacular and did not get too warm from sun in the afternoon. I enjoyed the layout of the suite and the kitchen appeared to be well stocked- but we did not do any cooking. I would definitely stay in this unit again.

Paradise with value.

The property was spacious with an outstanding view of the yacht harbor Ala Moana Beach Park. The kitchen cabinets are tired but there were plenty of dishes. I could have used a pan to roast in the oven and a larger saucepan. The bathroom is good size with adequate counter space. The king size bed was comfortable. We couldn’t get the Tv on when we arrived and had to call for help and the return call was prompt. We continued to have trouble getting the channels to load which persisted throughout our stay. The air conditioner was rather loud and cycled off and on. We turned it off and used the fan and opened the door to the lanai which we closed at night due to noise and light. We dined on the lanai as there is no indoor table for dining which was just fine. The lanai is large with adequate seating. We especially liked that it was shaded for most of the day except for a brief period before sunset. I would definitely stay at this unit again.
