Summary:
This is a stunning and comfortable main-door flat in a perfect location in the west end of Glasgow. Its location in a quiet street makes it a relaxing base when visiting the city.
The ease of parking & main door access (especially if you know the area, it can be tricky to find a spot) are a joy.
The location in the Finnieston neighbourhood, often referred to as the "hippest place in Britain" has plethora of trendy bars, restaurants, shops & even a concert venue, there is plenty to see & do.
The Space:
The flat is a lower ground flat in a stunning, traditional Victorian townhouse conversion. The access point is through a quiet lane off of a main road so the property really gives you the best of both worlds in terms of a calm, but also lively atmosphere. There is reserved parking for 2 cars in front of the building (which is rare in these parts) and a large main door that can easily be accessed.
The flat itself has a large modern dining kitchen neutrally decorated with seating for 6 and enough cutlery & cooking equipment to make sure you will not have to be eating out every night (unless that is the plan!). There is a fridge/freezer to store your food in the kitchen. The 'Nespresso' machine will be a welcome addition for those guests who spend time sampling the local nightlife. There are two comfy & carpeted bedrooms, both with wardrobe storage, the master bedroom has an en-suite shower room & king sized bed also. Each bedroom is furnished to a high standard with quality decor and Egyptian cotton bed linens. There is a tiled main bathroom with claw foot bath and shower cubicle. Finally the living room has stunning wooden flooring, a comfy L-shaped couch, a 43" UHD 4K TV, a Netflix account available for use, an attractive electric fireplace and is very tastefully decorated throughout. There is also a sofa bed in the living room which brings the capacity up to 6 persons. Please note that there is an extra fee for using the sofa bed!
For anyone travelling with bags they want to keep in the property, there are also 4 walk-in storage closets each with a good deal of space for luggage or important packages.

The Neighborhood:
The location is often referred to as the "hippest place in Britain". With its plethora of trendy bars, classy restaurants, shops & even a concert venue, there is plenty to see & do.
All you need to do is to type "things to do in Finnieston" into a well known search engine and there will be a wealth of suggestions. Our recommendations are: Bar - 'The Finnieston' is a local gin bar that also serves great seafood. Restaurant - 'Porter & Rye' is a great place to get a top quality piece of cooked meat. Others - 'The SSE Hydro' is minutes away and is quickly becoming one of Scotland's premier music venues.
Getting Around:
The flat has Glasgow's best restaurants and bars on its doorstep and is ideally positioned in the West End within walking distance to Glasgow City Centre. You can also walk to the popular Byres Rd, the SSE Hydro for gigs and SEC Exhibition centre no trouble at all. Given that there is parking right outside the flat, you have access to the M8 motorway which is minutes from the flat and can take to Edinburgh and beyond. There are local buses running along Argyle St that can take you into the city centre, also there is the Exhibition Centre train station a short walk away. There is a local Tesco express supermarket a short walk away too for all of your household needs.

There is a remote check-in policy here so guests can arrive and have access at any time after 4pm on the day their stay begins. For check out, guests can leave at any time prior to 10am.

Great place in a great spot
We had a great time staying here. The flat was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Communication with the owner was easy, friendly, and responsive. The location was perfect for us (we were visiting our daughter at the University), but was also great because it was surrounded by great spots in the West End you can easily walk to. We would absolutely stay there again!

Spacious flat in great neighborhood
This flat is in one of the best neighbourhoods in Glasgow. Convenient to multiple restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops, etc. It’s even a 5 minute walk to a Hop On Hop Off Bus stop if you’re using that to navigate the city.
Our host was incredibly responsive leading up to our arrival and during our stay. 5 stars to Suzy!!
The flat itself is very spacious. The 2 bedrooms are generous in size with a fully equipped kitchen and a living room area with ample seating for a group to relax. While the ensuite bathroom is cozy it’s great to have 2 bathrooms and the main bathroom is a dream! You’ll love the big bathtub if you’ve been out in the rain all day.
Everything you need for your stay is provided, linens, towels, hair dryer, coffee, tea, etc. making it easy to arrive without much fuss for things. It’s worth noting that the entrance to the flat is in a lane way (there’s no street access). It’s not inconvenient but can be a bit confusing for taxi and Uber drivers.
Would definitely recommend this listing.

GLASGOW BASEMENT APARTMENT
Having stayed at the property in 2019 a number of 2019 issues were corrected but not all..
The front door entry walls in small vestable still shows poor rework on the wall repairs visible poor drywall finish..
Toilet seat in the small washroom was loose and not safe to sit on.
Fireplace outlet had to be covered with towels due to mice running around at night as was noted by my daughter and granddaughter.
Bedroom drawer set in the small washroom bedrooom keep falling apartment and having to be set back in their track constantly.
The location of the apartment is good but these issues will put off furure considerations for trips
