This is THE BEST building and unit in River Run Village. It is just steps from the Keystone Gondola. You can watch the skiers during the day and the snowcats at night from our balcony or the couch while snuggling next to the fire! We always get compliments on how well stocked the kitchen is! Cook in the large kitchen, order in, or go out. You're RIGHT in the heart of the village.
It is an OVERSIZED 2BR/2BA. There is a king suite and double over double bunk bed in the second bedroom, made for kids/teens/college, not for heavier adults. There is a queen sized pull out foam mattress sleeper sofa in the great room. There are 3 flat screen wall mounted HD TVs. (Family room and 1 in each bedroom) You cannot beat this condo! It has everything!
Expedition Station is one of a few buildings in River Run Village that features a private pool and hot tub. DO NOT get stuck at another complex with a crowded, shared pool and hot tub, waiting for your turn. However, the pool and hot tub / Spa may be closed for service at any time. We will not refund/discount a stay as there are two other hot tubs to use at Dakota Lodge and another heated pool there you can use. You can use theirs, but they can't use yours! So, you have 3 hot tubs and 2 heated pools to use! If you are staying for a longer stay, we recommend taking a walk to the Dakota Lodge pool and grabbing pool towels from there. These are blue and white. You can use those at our pool. If you don't grab those towels, you have to use the white bath towels provided in the condo.
Expedition Station features a steam room, fitness center, ski lockers, pool table, and large lobby area with flatscreen TV. It is great for gathering with another family and friends. It is bordered on the East by the Keystone Skating Rink in winter which turns into a mini-golf area in the summer. The park is next to the skating rink/mini golf, just steps out our front door. To the West are expansive views of the Gore Range and Buffalo Mountain.
Expedition Station is Keystone's premier condo complex boasting amazing views of Keystone Ski Resort as well.
Our actual unit is situated on the corner of the complex so it has tons of windows showcasing stunning views of the Gore Range and Keystone Ski Resort. This condo also has a large balcony. Grills are no longer allowed on balconies, but there is a great big one next to the pool! We have an amazing fireplace, board games, puzzles, chess table, and much more. You'll find an amazingly comfortable king size bed, a 42-inch flat screen TV and a large, well-lit bathroom in the primary. The second bedroom is a kids utopia with full over full bunk beds, a 37-inch flat screen TV with toys and books!
