Golden Stone Country Retreat, Cotswolds

Check in time is 3pm. I had reiterated prior via WhatsApp that 3pm was the earliest check in time on this occasion, yet you tuned up at 2.15 asking to check in early. There is no way you could see if the property was ready without going inside, which you didn’t do. As it happens I was not ready for you check in until the check in time of 3pm as I was busy moving furniture and my personal items around the property and into my car, however should not have to justify this. The check in time is 3pm. If I was ready earlier I would have said you could come in earlier but I wasn’t so I didn’t and I made this very clear. I did find it a bit odd that you seemed so very keen to check in early and check out late. The times are there for a reason, you’re coming into someone’s personal properly and you pay for the allotted time in the property which is stipulated in the listing prior to booking. You are not entitled to extra time but I will offer early check ins if I'm able. The size of the bed is also stated in the listing.

Hi Susan, many thanks for all of your comments. You'll be glad to know the freezer and kettle issues have now been resolved. There is clearly a wasps nest somewhere not too far away but this has not been an issue for us before. Worry not, they won't be around for long! Wasps never return to the same nest. They are active for about 3/4 months during the summer but the nest will die off as it gets cooler and queens will hibernate ready to build a new nest in the spring.
