The exclusive and beautiful country house Casa Magnolia is located in the small hamlet of San Martino, overlooking the “golden triangle” of Bellagio, Varenna and Menaggio. Casa Magnolia is very spacious, has a large, open living and dining area over two levels, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is ideal for up to 5 people. It is a historic Lombard country house that has been extensively restored with great attention to detail and many eco-friendly features, such as solar panels, eco-friendly materials, energy insulation, energy-efficient appliances etc. Natural stone, wooden floors and modern, stylish furnishings with lots of art objects create an atmosphere that is exclusive and cozy at the same time. The house is surrounded by a beautiful, park-like and completely fenced garden on multiple levels with several, separate areas for a lot of privacy. The extensive property has a CCTV system that monitors the outdoor areas and surroundings. The large, private pool offers complete relaxation with incredible views. A big, covered patio with kitchen, grill and pizza oven is ideal for outdoor cooking and outdoor dining. From the house and the garden you enjoy spectacular views of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains. Casa Magnolia is close to the main attractions of Lake Como and is the perfect holiday home to spend a dream vacation in a beautiful and exclusive setting.

Wow, what a stunning villa! Wonderful view, beautifully situation high on a hill above the lake. All the rooms were appointed with taste and quality. The kitchens (inside and outside) were great. Rooms were very comfortable. The pool and grounds were terrific. Markus is a super gracious host. Would recommend to all! Note--the drive is very windy and not for the faint of heart driver.

This was a great place to stay. Location, the house and the grounds were amazing. Beautiful pool and views. The host was very helpful and informative. A few steps away from the property is a wonderful small restaurant with outside tables and an incredible view. Anyone would be lucky to stay here

Absolutely beautiful and clean house with everything we could have ever wanted. The restaurant in town was friendly and fantstic. We would gladly return. For any fellow americans - smaller rental cars and lighter luggage are your friend for these cliffside destinations!

This was positively the most pleasant stay we have ever had. The hospitality of Marcus and his wife is overwhelming and the house (and the view!) was just breathtaking. Part of the charm is the location in a remote village on the mountain side. For us, that was a huge part of the decision to go, but you have to like driving in mountains and planning your day a bit more attentive than otherwise. Looking so much forward to return

We absolutely loved our stay at Marcus’s beautiful home and only wish we had more time there. You can tell how much care went into this well appointed house and I absolutely recommend it to anyone who’s looking to stay in the Lake Como area. We hope to come back at some point when the weather is warmer so we can utilize the pool and outdoor space. Thank you again, Marcus!

Perfect spot for our family of 5 to spend a few days on Lake Como. The house and entire property is beautiful, and we were blown away by the cleanliness and views. Property is close to things to do, but is also extremely quiet and private. Marcus was welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend!

Fantastic lovely house with excellent views of Lake Como. The house has everything you need. Well equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms, good beds and not least an excellent pool and a beautyfull garden. The landlord, Marcus, is very friendly and service-minded.

Just perfect.

The whole stay was perfect. Beautiful home, amazing view, wonderful accommodations. We loved Lake Como and definitely want to come back for longer next time. Highly recommend staying here- quiet, private, and so peaceful.

Amazing Home in Como

We enjoyed our stay very much. The home is amazing with incredible views, it was even better than in the photos. The owner made reservations at a great restaurant and made check in very easy. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful property with lots of outdoor spaces to enjoy the spectacular views of the lake. Marcus is an outstanding host, giving us great advice on activities and restaurants. We had a fantastic time and look forward to visiting again.

My wife and I were incredibly lucky to stay at Marcus’ place for three nights with our children. The property is absolutely amazing, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience.It’s worth noting that the drive up to the house is about 10 minutes of winding switchbacks from the lake, but for us—even with little kids—it was completely worth it for the views and privacy.Marcus met us upon arrival, made check-in seamless, and even helped with our luggage. There’s also a small restaurant just steps from the property near the parking area that we highly recommend.The home itself spans three levels plus a loft, so be prepared for stairs. That said, the multi-level layout worked very well for our family and kids. The outdoor amenities were fantastic, and our kids even took advantage of the pool despite the chilly April weather.One of the best parts of our stay was Marcus himself. He provided excellent local recommendations and even helped us troubleshoot when our boat reservation unexpectedly fell through.We truly hope to come back someday.

Breathtakingly Perfect

The views were unbelievable. The host were extremely accommodating. The local restaurant a 1 minute walk was outstanding. Would stay here again in a minute. Perfect to spend day with all the people/tourist in the towns, nice to come home to this villa and patios to relax. Thanks for sharing Marcus

Absolute Paradise

Lake Como, the property and our hosts made our 8 night stay paradise. The views…not just of the lake and mountains, but the expansive gardens, terraces and pool are breathtaking. This property was a labor of love by the hosts and we felt so fortunate that they shared it with us. We have stayed 3 months in Italy on this trip…and nothing compared to this stay. Look forward to spending time in the future at this magnificent property.

Fantastic Home and Host

This home has been renovated with impeccable detail. The views from the home are incredible. The gardens are a work of art! Make sure to communicate with Marcus (The Host) for advice on excursions etc…. He lives in a house near by so he has local knowledge. Great home!!!!

The home and grounds are beautiful and the hosts are great. Be prepared for some stressful mountain driving, as roads are narrow and difficult to navigate, but you do get used to it over time. The price to pay for the beautiful vistas is the fact that driving anywhere is a must. We would definitely stay again.

Amazing holiday, hosts and home!

Can't say enough about this lovely home, gracious and helpful hosts and incredible experience. The home has all the modern amenities but an old world feel. It was very comfortable for two couples. The views are breathtaking. Our hosts were accessible, helpful, responsive and warm. The nearby trattoria coludn't do enough to accommodate us. Loved every minute and can't wait to return!
