This oceanfront two bedroom condo is in close proximity to many activities, shopping and dining. Take romantic walks along the white sandy beach or relax on the lanai and enjoy nature’s beauty amid the gentle breezes.
This second floor unit has a king size bed in the master bedroom and double-size bunk beds in the second bedroom. There are ceiling fans in both bedrooms & the living area to circulate the cool ocean breezes. The kitchen is fully equipped and convenient to enjoy home cooked meals with your family. Sit back and enjoy family time in the living area or enjoy the use of the flat screen TV.
The property is lushly landscaped with tropical flowers, fruit trees and peaceful gardens. Enjoy a day refreshing in the pool or enjoy swimming or snorkeling in the sparkling blue Pacific. This beautiful property has lots to enjoy. Play a game of tennis or shuffleboard, grill out at the poolside barbecue, or luxuriate in the jacuzzi or sauna.
Pono Kai is a very short walk to the center of Old Kapaa Town where you can shop for local produce, browse small shops, and dine at a variety of restaurants. Activities nearby include seasonal swimming, snorkeling, water skiing, fishing, surfing, kayaking, hiking, shopping, tennis and golf. Rent a bike to enjoy a day riding along the coast on the bike path or rent a kayak or stand-up paddle board to use in the Wailua river. Activities are endless and you will be happy with all you can enjoy on your next vacation.
*** Notice of Anticipated Project *** Pono Kai Resort anticipates an extensive pool area enhancement project that will require the closure of the pool and hot tub area for approximately three months. The project is anticipated to be done during the months of September, October and November 2025. ***

Beautiful ocean view & location close to shopping & restaurants. Walking distance was nice. Place was clean, organized, & stocked well for what we needed. Plenty of towels etc and loved the natural hygiene products that were here for use. Furniture could be more comfy for those spending more time at the place but would still recommend.

This place is gorgeous! It is just as pictured and described with a couple of bonuses. The condo was spotless, the A/C works great, and the kitchen had everything we needed in it - and we cooked everyday.I really appreciated the ease of communication with Kauai Vacation Rentals. Overall, the condo was wonderful and a great value. We will certainly stay again. Bonus: The main bath closet was stocked with everything we needed for the beach (and more). This saved us time and money from having to rent it elsewhere. When we were there this included beach chairs and mats, sun umbrellas, wagon, bogie boards, and a perfectly-sized small cooler.

Great location. Can go north and south very easily. Oceanfront view was great. The unit we stayed in could use some updating, but overall was fine.

Halau Trip from Sacramento
Great location and large size condo.
We chose a vacation rental so we could be able to cook at home.
We had a great Halau trip and enjoyed the aloha spirit all day every day during our stay, especially the woman who gave as Manapua at Hamura Saimin after they had sold out.

Kapaa Stay
This property was in a good location, on the beach, with a sidewalk along the beach. It was a short walk along the beach walking path to Kapaa restaurants and shops. Safeway was a short drive away, and Kapaa was a central location for exploring the island. The apartment rental was as advertised. Very comfortable. We could see the sun rise every morning from our balcony.

Beautiful Condo
We enjoyed our stay at Pono Kai A201. This is a recently remodeled two bedroom two bathroom condo. Perfect for our family of four with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The balcony overlooks the ocean as does the master bedroom. And the location of the condo is protected from the high winds in Kapaa. We appreciated the split AC units during the night. Although there aren’t any laundry machines in the unit, they are nearby in the complex.Thank you!

Great property. In the middle of the east side of the island the location gives 30-45 minutes drive to the Princeville (north side) of the island or the south side. This unit was very clean. The resort is simple and not grand but relaxing. The view from the balcony and unit is just as it shows in the pictures. The air conditioning worked great. Only downside is while there is laundry it’s not in the unit, there is a shared laundry facility at 1.50 a load and the machines are a little dated. Not a grand resort but the location was great and this unit itself was VERY nice. We will rent again if we have the opportunity to return. Property is on the sunrise side of the island

Overall, the condo was very nice and clean. The only exception were the bathroom mats that were dirty. I had to use the towels as floor mats. The condo came with beach chairs, umbrella, towels, and few other items that we didn’t use. The view was nice and right off the boardwalk.
