Welcome to our Blueberry Beach House located on beautiful Sedar Bay. Feel yourself unwind as you come down the hill and breathe in the calming view of Lake Superior. On a clear day see Isle Royal on the horizon. This is a completely renovated beach house sitting on its own private sand and rock beach, an Agate pickers paradise. End your day with the most gorgeous, unforgettable sunsets. Located 6 miles from Calumet and the snowmobile trails. If there is enough snow on the side of the road, you can ride to the trails. If snow is not on the shoulder of roads, you will have to trailer sleds to trail head, about six miles from the house. 20 miles from Michigan Tech and across the road from the Black Creek Sanctuary, excellent snow shoeing trails. Approximately 55 minutes to Copper Harbor, the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula. Mount Bohemia ski resort is a scenic 45 minute drive. Visit downtown Calumet, located in the Historic Keweenaw National Park. This house sleeps 8. Bedroom 1 has a king size bed. Bedroom 2 has 2 extra long twin custom bunkbeds. Living room couch is a queen size sleeper. Wood fired sauna sits right on the beach, perfect for sauna- swim. The sauna is not available during winter months. Front load washer and dryer for your convenience. You simply just have to bring your clothes and food.

Saturday to Saturday rental from June 3, 2023 through August 26, 2023. $1960.00 per week. September through May, 2 night minimum stay at $280.00 per night.

Full payment is expected with reservation. There will be no refund or credit for cancelled bookings.

Lovely home on Lake Superior -- off the beaten path so it was wonderfully quiet and dark. I didn't have any issues, but the host was very responsive to my questions. The pumpkin bars the host left for me when I arrived were a nice touch.

We had such a lovely stay at the Blueberry Beach House!! It’s a little slice of heaven on the lake. The house was stocked with everything we needed and is very cozy. We spent every night watching the sunset on the beach and even got to see the Northern Lights. The location of the property is perfect for all of your Keweenaw adventures; although once you get to the house you might not want to leave. The owner of the property stopped by to introduce herself and brought us the most delicious pumpkin cream cheese cupcakes. We felt completely spoiled during our stay and cannot wait to go back!

Super cute cabin - very clean and comfy. Perfect size for my family of 4. Loved having Lake Superior outside the front door. And the sauna was awesome too! Perfect home base for exploring the Keweenaw.

My husband and I spent the most peaceful week at the blueberry Beach House. We couldn’t have asked for a better location, a more private beach or better accommodations. The owners are so sweet and even delivered fresh blueberry muffins. There are blueberry patches for you to pick fresh blueberries throughout your stay. The area has many family owned restaurants to choose from and cute little shops to find the perfect souvenirs. We are definitely planning on returning year after year.

We had a wonderful stay at the Blueberry Beach House. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Gorgeous sunsets over the lake and loved sitting on the bench watching the lake. The cottage is very comfortable and Kristin has thought of many special touches to make it so. It was cool during our stay and the fireplace was a welcome addition when we returned after exploring the area. Loved the direct and easy access to all the rock hunting one could ask for. Thank you for sharing this little piece of paradise with us - it made for our best visit to the Keweenaw!

Great Place to reset!

My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Blueberry Beach cabin and it's exactly what we needed to reset! Direct access to the beach, everything we needed in the kitchen, our hosts were right across the street!! Kristin and EJ took extra care to get us firewood for the beach fire pit and recommended we use the sauna and then jump in Superior...we did it! It was an experience! The water is crystal clear and the beach is a rock hounders paradise! We would definitely come back!!!

Graduation

We were there for granddaughters graduation from MI Tech. We had trouble finding a closer place for 6 people, so we took the cabin on Lake Superior! We absolute loved it. Clean, very cute and right on the beach. Beautiful sunsets. We would certainly stay here again!

Worth the Wait

I had been wanting to stay at this property for several years but I could never match availability of the cottage to my availability. Until now and it was definitely worth the wait. Cottage is cozy and welcoming. All essentials in place. Quiet area. Most fantastic beach combing out front. Sat on the bench every night to watch the sun set! If you are looking for peace and quiet along with great rock hunting and beautiful sunsets, look no further. I highly recommend!

Sunset!

Our family stayed here to race in The Great Bear Chase. It was the perfect location for us. The snow was all cleared even though they had 1-2 feet dropped on them the day prior to our arrival. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Be sure to be there for sunset, it was amazing!

Cozy winter family retreat

Beautiful location, can be challenging in the winter depending on snow fall - be prepared, of course. For those staying during the winter months, bring slippers, as the floors are cold. Keep bedroom doors open, with only the gas fireplace as a heat source. Lovely setting! We enjoyed our stay.

Great place to disconnect

Kristin and her husband were great hosts! We enjoyed the freshly baked cinnamon rolls that were waiting for us when we arrived. We loved walking along the shore as well as the river path. The rainy weather did not deter us from exploring. They have the best stocked kitchen that I have ever experienced in a vbro rental property. Any utensil or pot or gadget was there! The proximity to the beach is fabulous... right out the door, down a couple stairs and there it is! We could hear the waves crashing at night inside as it was stormy weather. What a great way to fall asleep! If you are looking for some peace and quiet, this is an excellent place to do that! Our only regret is that our stay was short.

Very Cute Cottage - A stones throw to Lake Superior!

We were hoping for warmer weather but when you check in on November 24th for a three-night stay, anything is possible. We were able to rock hound the first day only before the weather changed. This is a rock hounders paradise! Over the next few days the waves started to build. It was awesome watching mother nature and the 8 feet waves. You could not ask for a better cottage to hunker down. The fireplace was awesome as was Kristen's homemade chocolate chip cookies. Very peaceful cottage!

Fall Weekend Getaway

We came up to enjoy the beach and the fall colors. We had a great time collecting rocks on the beach. The cabin was cozy and perfect. We would love to come again.

Ej an I have deep roots in the area. Grandparents migrated here from Finland in the early 1900's. Ej builds Timber Frame houses and I work in the school system. We enjoy spending time with our kids and grandchildren.

Ej and I love living in the UP. It has always been a dream of mine to run a Bed&Breakfast when the kids are grown. Having a chance to purchase the cabin across the road and completely remodeling it, was actually getting the best of both worlds. We can share our love of the area with guests, and manage the property from across the road. Looking forward to meeting you.

Sedar Bay is is a peaceful, soul renewing piece of paradise. The Blueberry Beach House is your place to unwind. Wake up for a peaceful walk on the beach. Spend the day watching the lake and picking berries, or take on some of the local attractions. Be sure to be back to for the spectacular sunset. The sauna right on the beach is the best!
