Cottage situated on Little Traverse Lake. You can fish for bass, perch, pike and bluegill in Little Traverse Lake. The perfect distance between everything! Located 9 miles from Glen Arbor and 9 miles from Leland. Beautiful Little Traverse Lake is steps away from the door. The cottage has everything you need for your stay. Includes all linens, towels, dishes, grill equipment, a fire pit and out door seating. Internet and cable are available. There is a public boat launch if you would like to bring your own boat, there is a dock. There are 4 single kayaks as well as a row boat that you are free to use. Directly across the street from Market 22; a little market where you can get everything you need from beer and wine to GREAT pizza, sandwiches, and breakfast.

We love this location - right on the water and easy to pop into Glen Arbor, Leland or drive to Suttons Bay / TC for more exploration. The cottage was perfect for myself, my husband, and our pup. Everything was as described and it felt very clean upon arrival. 10/10 would recommend.

Great on-the-water cabin

The is cabin on the water was a great experience for our 4 vacationers. Lake was beautiful. Kayaks were fun. Sunset was spectacular every night. Added bonus was the absolutely delicious Market 22 right across the street. Mel was a wonderful hostess. Would most certainly stay here again.

Quaint Lakeside Cabin

Beautiful location on Little Traverse Lake! The cabin had all the necessary amenities and an amazing view from the living room. We were close to many beautiful destinations in Sleeping Bear Dunes lakeshore and the Leelanau Peninsula. The host was easily available and made checking in and out simple for us. We would definitely stay here again!

Thanksgiving Hikes

We had a great time hiking in Sleeping Bear. The cabin was in a perfect location and has such pretty view right from the couch each morning. Super cozy!

Cabin Stay

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do/ see and the cabin had everything we needed during our stay. We really enjoyed Market 22 across the street as well! Thank you again!

Fantastic place to stay

Cottage was quite nice. Upgraded floors and furniture from last time we stayed a few years ago. Perfect for a small family of four. Clean and well kept. Everything you need to cook home cooked meals. 5 stars. Will stay again next time weā€™re in the area.

Fantastic place to stay

Melā€™s cottage is just as described. It is a cute little cottage on a beautiful lake. The restaurant right across the street is a great place for pizza, a snack, breakfast or a drink. The area is loaded with things to do. Traverse City is just close enough to be accessible and far enough to be away from the crowd.

I recently stayed at this lakeside cottage in Michigan with my family, and we had a fantastic time. From the start, everything matched the online descriptionā€”clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The peaceful setting made it easy to relax and enjoy some quality time together.One of the best parts was the access to the lake. The property included kayaks and boats, which made it easy to enjoy the beautiful waterfront. We also really appreciated the safe fire pit and the wood that was providedā€”we ended most evenings around the fire, which became a highlight of our stay.Everything at the cottage was in good working order, and it was clear the owners take great care of the place. We had one minor issue during our stay, and the owner responded quickly and professionally, which we really appreciated.The price was another big plusā€”very reasonable given the location, amenities, and overall quality of the experience. It truly felt like a great value.Weā€™re already looking forward to coming back next year. Itā€™s not easy to find a place that gets everything right, but this one did. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable lakeside getaway.

Family Getaway

This was the perfect location for our annual fall family color tour! The property was perfect for our family of 4. The location was stunning! To be so close to the water and have coffee on the deck was wonderful. We really enjoyed the cozy fireplace. And the restaurant across the street is an absolute gem! We will be trying to book here again for our future trips to the Leelanau area.

Peaceful cabin on the lake

Had a wonderful time at the cabin. Perfect location between Leland, Glen Arbor and Maple City. Cabin was clean and perfect for our little getaway. Watching the lions, ducks, and a bald Eagle made it even more special. Highly recommend staying at this can. The host (Melanie) got back to us to answer our questions and went above and beyond our expectations.

Accommodations + Location

This little cabin is perfect - great location between all of our favorite Leelanau destinations and with a tiny little "beach" right on Little Traverse Lake. Mel + Neal could not be more accommodating. Their pride of ownership is evident in how clean they keep their cabin, and they go out of their way to make sure their guests are comfortable and taken care of.

Beautiful Lakeside Cottage

Amazing place to stay right on the lake. The owners are wonderful and the cottage has everything you need for a perfect getaway. The deck overlooks the lake and the fire pit has wood stocked for use. Close to multiple small towns for great food. Wineries and hiking too. If you stay- dont miss out on Market 22 across the street for incredible food! They also have a small market for local wine and beer. This was our 3rd stay here and we will definitely be back again!

Great stay

This house was perfect for what we were looking for. My kids (age 12) loved swimming in the lake. We rented a SUP from someone in Traverse City and the lake was excellent for that. We were very close to Sleeping Bear and other places we wanted to visit. Owner was excellent to work with. If you are looking for a basic place to stay that is comfortable with amazing views, I highly recommend this cottage.
