This place was so great! It was really nice having a bathroom on each floor as well. We took full advantage of the projector Downstairs and was able to have a fabulous little weekend away! Will be booking again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chalet. The home is very comfortable and it was close to family that lives nearby. While the reason for our stay was very sad, our niece's celebration of life service, it helped to have a peaceful, quiet and relaxing place to retreat to. We will definitely look into staying here again.

Weā€™ve stayed up near the n-22 route the last 8 years. This property is the perfect place for a weekend getaway. The host was incredibly accommodating and thought of every little detail to make our stay feel personalized. The house was great for kids and the adults! We would recommend this property to everyone!

We had a wonderful two night stay this fall, in this perfectly appointed home. There are so many extras, like a coffee/tea station games, gas grill, fire pit, both propane and wood burning.Everything was perfect for a couple of families to make great memories together.All of that said the absolute best part of this property is the amazing host Matthew, from the moment of booking all the way through checkout follow up this is the best VRBO weā€™ve ever stayed in.

We loved our stay at Sugarloaf! Host was wonderful and very accessible, great contact for checking in and getting situated. We had an amazing stay at the chalet and canā€™t wait to go back again! The place was stocked with lots of extras like a coffee bar, items for our dogs, and toys for our little just to name a few of the amazing extras. The beds were really comfortable too. Our experience was excellent from the second we arrived to the second we left! The host checked in with us to make sure everything was to our liking. He was friendly and available for any needs - and included some special touches to make us feel welcome! The house is set up well to accommodate its guests. We liked how each floor had its own bedroom and bathroom. And, the house had plenty of amenities to keep us entertained when we weren't out exploring the area. Highly recommended!

I have never felt more comfortable staying somewhere and the home itself was beautiful and everything I could have ever asked for to celebrate my sisters bachelorette weekend! Mathew was incredibly helpful every step of the way and even went above and beyond to create personal touches for our stay. Perfect location, cozy wooded home

Stayed with family and kids aged 1.5 to 5 and we loved it. Kids toys in the house, Boogie boards and sand toys much appreciated. Upstairs bedroom is a loft, wish there were walls and a door, but overall would definitely recommend!

This home was just perfect for our family of all ages from 15 to 81. We spent several days exploring the area, and it was so nice to come back to such a pretty spot. Matthew communicated with me several times before and during our trip to make sure we had all the information and recommendations we neededā€”even a good spot to find Petoskey stones at a nearby beach! He left wonderful treats for us, and it was clear that he cares about this home and every detail.The home was extremely clean with space for everyone. We would definitely choose Matthewā€™s home again!

Great introduction to Michigan

Was our first time to the Michigan area and we had a great time. Close location to great beaches and towns. Only stayed for three days and didnā€™t get everything thing in one we fell in love with the beach! Which was cold but didnā€™t bother the little one a bit. House was great, all the extras were a nice touch. Matthew was a great host thank you for a memorable family vacation!

Lovely little home in the woods complete with everything we couldā€™ve needed - beach towels and chairs, coffee, dog bowls & towels. Close to everything we wanted to do - hike & beach, and attend a friendā€™s wedding! Communication with Matthew was excellent. He answered all of my questions promptly. If we come back to this area, weā€™d be so happy to stay here again!

Wonderful Stay!

We stay at this property while visiting the Sleeping Bear Dunes. It was a wonderful location. The house was really well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. The owners really have thought of a lot of really thoughtful touches to make it such an great place to stay.

We had the best time at Matthewā€™s property! We had 3 families staying (one with 2 younger kids) and having separate bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect for us. Check in was super simple and we didnā€™t have any issues. The house was super clean and the amenities were excellent - the hand soap smelled so good; we loved that he provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in each of the bathrooms; towels were also provided, both for showers and the beach. Matthew was such a great host leaving a bottle of wine and items for sā€™mores (which the kids loved!). This was truly home away from home!
