Located on the Beach Side of Chatham Avenue. Walk off the porch directly to beach and private dock! Original 1920s Fishing Cottage on Chatham Avenue, back river, south end of Tybee, fully updated with Huge Private Dock (rebuilt after 2017 hurricane-no floating dock) and direct access to beach. One of only 3 docks with beach access on the Back River. Views stretch from the South Point of the Ocean to undeveloped Little Tybee. Very private house with plenty of parking and large yard. No front or back door neighbors. Lots of windows for amazing views and light. 3 bedrooms and 2 baths inside. Full bath and laundry room outside-perfect for showering kids off before coming in the house. Also has outside shower on walkway. Large kitchen, dining and living areas. Comfortable furniture, new flooring and fresh bedding. The most peaceful porch on Tybee with picnic table, plenty of seating and amazing views. Walk out of porch (or roll as we have a ramp) onto private walkway to beach and dock. Dock has electrical, water and large family picnic table, sink and serving area. A perfect place to enjoy all of your meals! Plenty of sun and shade areas on the dock as well as perfect views of Little Tybee and the Ocean. Unique property owned and loved by the same family for over 50 years.

Perfect location on Tybee. Park your car and walk or bike anywhere on the Island. Information on renting Kayaks, Paddleboards, Bikes, Golf Carts, Surfing Lessons and Fishing Charters provided once you book your stay, so you can have everything arranged before you arrive. One of the island's best restaurants, A.J.s, is a short walk away. Many great dining options available on the island and a full-service grocery store as well.

Arrival time 4pm and checkout time 11am. We provide all linens and towels as well as toilet paper, paper towels and laundry detergent to get you started. We also have a coffee maker and basic spices. All you have to bring is your groceries!

We had such a wonderful stay at this property. My husband likes to fish so he was perfectly content to stay on the pier all week. But my daughter and friend had a blast playing on the surrounding beach, paddleboarding in the river, and their most fun was catching crabs from the pier. Elizabeth was a great communicator and host. We will definitely try to stay here again!

My friends and I just finished a week there and it was wonderful. The dock is the diamond of the property. My friends and I love to stay in Old Beach homes on Tybee and this one definitely takes the Cake.

Another great year at Mock Dock

We had a wonderful stay with family over spring break at Tybee. The location on the back river was perfect for our family. Relatives rented a few houses down from us and we spent our days on the dock and beach

Amazing Cottage

Lovely Cottage with trees all around plus access to private dock. Amazingly private for being so close to all the restaurants and gift shops within walking distance. We had a great stay. Host was very responsive to all my questions.

Great house on the water!

We loved the quiet neighborhood with plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance. The dock was awesome, we caught lots of fish. Easy walk to the beach. The house was clean and charming. Great place for a relaxing getaway!

The perfect place to relax

The location was perfect to be away from everything, but still within a short bike ride of plenty of places to eat. The dock is amazing! This was the perfect place for me, my husband and our15 year old.

The best spot on Tybee!

There is no better spot on Tybee if your gial is peaceful days and nights, few people, beautiful nature, sea kayaking from home, hanging out all day on the huge covered dock!

Tybee Trip

We have stayed at Mock Dock the last couple trips to Tybee and we absolutely love it. My brotherā€™s grandson went on the trip this time and he had a great time. The dock is awesome and the Back River beach is also only steps away.

Best digs on Tybee!

Wow- we LOVED this house! Quiet street, only a short walk to the pier and shopping area. The house had all the rustic charm of old Tybee, while still being extremely comfortable. And a private dock?? Seriously amazing. We laughed because the dock alone was bigger than our whole living room at our house. We will absolutely be back!

ā€˜Every so often, go where you can hear a wooden screen door slam shut.ā€™And this property has five wooden screen doors.Nicely kept, charming cottage with fantastic waterfront access. It has everything you need for a small group stay, and is within walking distance to most of the hotspots on Tybee. I am so glad we found it.

Mock Dock was fantastic!!

Our family had a fantastic time at Mock Dock. What a beautiful place! It was the perfect location for our family. Our sons had a blast fishing off the dock. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much to Elizabeth for allowing us to stay in her quaint Tybee cottage!!

We really enjoyed this property. It was fully stocked with anything you could possibly need. The dock was amazing, on a nice sandy area. We brought our kayaks and enjoyed the back river. The ocean beach was any easy walk. Perfect getaway weekend!

Best Vacation!

I highly recommend this beach house. It was amazing!! We enjoyed the private dock and inland beach access. It was nice and quiet and the views from the dock are beautiful! I canā€™t wait to come back! Elizabeth is very responsive and friendly and quickly answers any questions you have.

Relaxation on the Back River

We had a wonderful time at the Mock Dock! The location is perfect and within walking distance to several restaurants and shops. We spent a lot of time relaxing and enjoying the incredible views on for dock and walking on the beach, which is steps away from the back door. The beds were very comfortable and the house is stocked with all your basic needs! We will definitely be back!!

Cozy and great inter coastal view and beach

My Wife and I, two teen boys and my senior Mom all had great time. Warm and relaxing rustic interior. The private dock your own large deck in the water on inter coastal was enjoyed by all and our regular hangout to fish, sun bathe, kayak, and enjoy the views and easy access to beach. Just 4 blocks to restaurant and beach shop area. It was a great stay for our group.

Perfect!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the property, especially the private dock! Great location. The house is so cute. We ended up ordering pizza 2 nights and just eating on the dock as Elizabeth suggested. Elizabeth was great to work with and full of tips for your stay on Tybee. Highly recommend this property!

Wonderful stay on Back Beach!

This was our first stay on Tybee's Back Beach. The location was perfect for our relaxing sisters' vacation. The house is welcoming and comfortable (Elizabeth has thought of everything!). We caught fish from the dock, enjoyed watching the dolphins play and loved the amazing sunsets. Found lots of seashells on our walks along the shore. We already plan on staying here again. Five star review *****!

Mock Dock for the win!

The house was amazing! Clean, comfortable, and relaxing. It is close enough to everything that you can walk, saved a lot of money on parking. The dock and views of the water are the highlight of this property. Sunsets were beautiful, saw dolphins everyday, caught some fish and enjoyed the sun. Having the beach right out the back door made for an amazing trip. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a perfect vacation spot!

Spring Break at Tybee

We had a wonderful stay here with our kids! Highlights included suppers on the screen porch, fishing and sunsets on the dock, and walks on the beach. We brought paddle boards along and had a great time paddling to Little Tybee. The location was fantastic. The house was very quaint and comfortable for our outdoorsy family. On some cooler days we headed into Savannah and to see Fort Pulaski which were both so conveniently nearby. Our family friends stayed in a house a couple of blocks away and we rented golf carts to go back and forth between the houses. It was such a great family vacation

Best spot on Tybee

This cottage was the perfect fit for our group. More in a quiet area not on the Main beach but you have your own pier with huge covered dock. Private white sand beach. We caught blue crabs and fish off the dock. Was the best vacation ever. The cottage is great with areas where you can relax and the huge screened porch was where we spent most of our time when not out on the dock. Seriously this place is Amazing. Already planning our next visit for next year.

Our family has had the pleasure of owning this property for over 50 years. We had major damage in Hurricane Matthew 2017 and have a new dock as the result. We love this place and know your family will as well!
