Villa La Fontana is located on a hill overlooking Lake Trasimeno; it is surrounded by a beautiful pine forest and features a garden with centuries-old trees. The spacious garden is home to centuries-old trees such as cedars and pines, as well as flower beds. The swimming pool is situated in a very sunny corner. This magnificent building serves as a setting for the surrounding nature and rural landscape. The house is situated in the hills near Tuscany, at an elevation of 210 meters above sea level, between Castiglione del Lago and Cortona in Tuscany, a short distance from Florence, Rome, Siena, Perugia, and Assisi.
A 19th-century country villa with original period Art Nouveau furniture and wooden or painted ceilings; most rooms and terraces offer a beautiful view of Lake Trasimeno and the stunning surrounding countryside.
In front of the house and on either side, there are tables and chairs for outdoor dining. Deck chairs invite you to soak up the sun. A barbecue and an old brick pizza oven are located near the house, and a pool table and ping-pong table are also available for use.
A large swimming pool (12 x 6 m) is available for guests.
“Glicine” is the Villa’s Nobile apartment. It has a floor area of 170 square meters and consists of 1 double bedroom, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, a separate living room with sofas and a large dining table, and a shaded terrace with a large dining table and lounge chairs, situated on a side of the property that ensures maximum privacy.
The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen (dishes, refrigerator, gas stove with at least four burners, electric oven, sink, and dish rack), as well as all appliances, including a dishwasher. It is equipped with all linens (bed, bath, and kitchen) and is changed weekly. The apartment is equipped with all the cleaning supplies needed for daily chores; the pool is heated and can therefore be used even during cooler periods.
