Wait n Sea - a cottage that sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms

Prospect Cottage is situated on Seaford Avenue, a quiet corner of The Bay but still only a few minutes to the village centre.

Enter through the front door into the hall with cloaks storage and downstairs toilet. Through the internal door into the open plan living space. To the left is the well-equipped kitchen with washing machine, new oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, and tall fridge-freezer. Round dining table for 4, and two large sofas and smart TV and DVD player for relaxing with the family. Bifold doors open wide to let the outside in. Large extended patio with seating and brick-built BBQ.

Take the stairs off the living space to the two spacious upstairs bedrooms with TVs and built in storage, and a family bathroom in between. Plenty of space for 2 in the twin room. The main bedroom also has double doors onto the balcony with seating. The bathroom has a bath with rainfall shower over.

Up to 2 well-behaved dogs welcome.

Filey short break at the bay

Don’t normally leave reviews but such a positive Enjoyable stay at this gem of a cottage Everything was good a real home from home And enjoyed having a coffee on the balcony Paula from the bay was on hand for anything, although we didn’t require any help 5 stars stay here ❤️

Great Stay - very comfortable

We enjoyed our stay, very well equipped and comfortable. One minor gripe no cupboard for food storage without relocating equipment. Dining chairs need some TLC and the vacuum cleaner didn't work but otherwise all okay.

Thanks for the lovely review. We have recovered a couple of the dining chairs, and thanks for lettings us know about the hoover. We reorganised the cupboards too :-)

Great house in The Bay!

We really enjoyed our stay here. great property, the balcony off the main bedroom was lovely to sit out on. It was also good having the boules pitch out the back, we took our own set and used it every day. There was a small issue with one of the beds which was sorted immediately. Couldn't have asked for better service! We would definately stay here again.

Lovely stay

Had a lovey stay at Prospect Cottage. The location is excellent, the property was the perfect size for us and our two greyhounds and had everything that we required. Paula was attentive and communicated updates upon arrival and departure.

Short break

Absolutely lovely holiday property. Really well equipped and well presented. Even managed to get on the balcony for a couple of hours sunshine. Located in the Filey Bay village it's great to get the swimming pool and onto the beach

Love love love The Bay at Filey

Stayed in prospect cottage for our visit this time, beautiful house with everything you need and really spacious. Two good sized bedrooms with plenty of storage. Lounge/kitchen is a great communal layout. 5 minute walk down to the dog friendly pub on site and the another 5 minutes to the fantastic beach.

A great stay

We stayed at Prospect Cottage whilst we were looking at houses in the area, as we love it so much we are moving up there. The cottage was well set out with plenty of room. Views onto the green were lovely and the balcony upstairs was great for sitting with a coffee. Evenings were a delight Sat on the reclining sofa while we discussed houses or watched some tv. A great stay which felt too short.

Lovely cottage we had a lovely stay. I gave it only a 4 on cleanliness as there were all crumbs under the toaster, but would stay again.

Another excellent Filey Bay Direct cottage

Probably the best we have stayed in at The Bay Filey. Excellent kitchen facilities, comfy bed, comfy sofas and and large tv in lounge.

Fabulous property for 3 Adults & 1 dog. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and located centrally for exploring Whitby, Falling Foss + Bridlington & Filey are right on the doorstep.

Getaway break

Lovely property had everything we needed and in great location Parking across from the property Great access down to the beach and lovely walk into Filey . Went to Scarborough and Whitby whilst staying here .

Excellent cottage for weekend stay

Comfortable and spacious. Quite a walk from the beach end, but we don't mind that at all. Kitchen is well equipped, dishwasher tablets would be useful as we forgot ours for the first time. Overall, very happy with accomodation.

Prospect Close

Prospect Close was very clean and really comfortable to relax in , a great place to stay in would give it 5 stars , and definitely go back again. This is the second property we have had with Helen loved them both ❤

We enjoyed our stay. Parking OK due to time of year. Hot water setting not ideal. Hot water not always available.

Perfect!

Loved this cottage so much, perfect location, booked for a birthday weekend! Was greeted with a welcome pack of goodies which were very thoughtful and came in very handy, also tea. Coffee, sugar provided just the small things made it so welcoming. Loved the layout , very spacious! Would definitely recommend!

A weekend break

Good location and well presented accommodation .It was very comfortable for the three of us and the dog for two nights. An earlier check in and later check out would have made this perfect but it comes with the territory. An oven glove to use in the kitchen would have been helpful. Overall, very good and would stay again .

Thanks for the review. We can sometimes offer early check-ins but it just wasn't possible as you only booked the afternoon before arrival and it was half-term so it was a very busy day. There should have been an oven glove though and we would have dropped one off if we knew it had been missed. Hope to see you again.
