This awesome villa offers the true Mediterranean experience: a huge terrace with a superb view on the large garden with palm trees, the glittering sea and a blue sky. The private swimming pool completes the picture. It is a 5-10 minute downhill walk to the beach and the village where you will find several restaurants, some of them outstanding. My personal favorite is the Boia Bar with great food and directly at the beach. There are two small supermarkets (and two large ones that take a 5 minute drive). The Salema village still offers an authentic feeling. Every morning fishermen with their small boats bring the catch of the day to the beach.
The spacious villa itself offers three bedrooms with enough cupboards for all of your clothes, two bathrooms and three toilets. Obviously, TV and wifi are available, but spending your time at the BBQ or around the pool might offer you that special feeling you do not have at home. The house is well maintained and there are weekly visits from the pool boy and the gardener. The owners live here part of the year. I know them well and I was allowed to stay in their villa for a week in June 2018, two weeks in October 2017 and a week in September 2016.
The location offers several benefits. Apart from its proximity to the beach, where you can rent sunbeds, parasols and watersports stuff, I like Lagos at a 25 minute drive. This is the most beautiful city of the Algarve. Next, there are three very nice golf courses within a 20 minute drive. The closest golf course Santo Antonio offers golf lessons for the whole family, tennis courts, and it accommodates a beauty center where you can get a massage as well. Last but not least, from Salema you can visit the gorgeous West coast within an half hour drive. There, you will find surfers paradise with fantastic views and massive waves.
If you are looking for a beautiful and relaxing Mediterranean experience, stop looking and enjoy your stay in this great place.
