It sits on the edge of its own loch in close proximity to the popular village of Plockton. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and sleeps 4 people. The Sheiling offers guests an unforgettable holiday experience with complete peace and seclusion.

Fantastic Stay!

The Sheiling is absolutely stunning. We have stayed in many beautiful locations in Scotland but this was the best so far. It was beautiful, inside and out. The decking overlooking the loch was amazing, especially whilst enjoying the hot tub. The location was great with a lovely walk to Plockton and opportunities to eat in recommended restaurants and explore Applecross, Skye and Kyle of Lochalsh. We made full use of the boat each day and went fishing. It was a very idyllic break and I would definitely return.

Amazing place!

The property and location are both stunning. The property is very clean, well equipped and beautifully furnished. The deck is the highlight, giving stunning views of the loch at all times. We were blessed with fantastic weather all week and we spent most of the time in the hot tub or enjoying the peace and quiet with a glass of wine, reading a book. Absolute bliss! The daily visits from the pine marten were the icing on the cake. What a little character! We ended up going to the shop to buy it eggs, nuts and grapes. It once came 3 times in one day!! We can’t recommend this place enough. We totally fell in love with it and will definitely be back.

Excellent Again

This was our second visit to The Sheiling and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves again. A most generous and thoughtful welcome pack - thank you. The weather was rather rainy at times but we managed several lovely walks with a spell in the hot tub to recover afterwards. Martin and Mairi have created a very special place at The Sheiling and we are delighted to have enjoyed the house and beautiful surroundings for a second time. In our opinion The Sheiling is the best self catering holiday accommodation and location we have experienced. Thank you and we look forward to being back next year.

In a nutshell…WOW!!

Absolutely stunning, so glad we found this place! Stayed for a week with my husband, we were very sad to leave. We will definitely be returning! We had an amazing week of glorious weather and made most of all the facilities. So peaceful and secluded, with a short bike ride to plockton and within reach of all the adventures and scenery that the Highlands has to offer…exactly what we were looking for.

It's Really A Grand Design Rather Than A Rented Holiday Home

You sort of expect Kevin McCloud to knock on the door to see how it's going :-) It takes about a day to stop worrying about messing it up but once you do it's a fabulous place to stay. Everything that is 'extra' at many places comes with it - milk, wine, washing machine tablets, shampoos, LOTs of towels, dressing gowns for the hot tub, etc, etc. Just arrive light and enjoy a truly fabulous place to stay for a week. But I hate to think how long it takes the owners to clean it on changeover days.

Visit No 03

This was our 3rd visit with a 4th already booked and probably many more after that. A quick glance through the reviews will tell you everything you need to know about this fantastic accommodation. It really does have everything you need - the house, hot tub, views, wildlife, walks and Plockton on your doorstep. The only thing missing was a trout from the loch - but that was down to a lack of skill! Can't wait to return next year.

Great location

What a beautiful location. This accommodation and setting exceeded our expectations.lovely part of the countryside too visit but the best part was just relaxing at the property. Owners very helpful and easily connected. Welcome pack was great .

Excellent stay in every way

We had an excellent stay at The Sheiling. The property is amazing - location is spectacular, everything about the property is really high-end, and ending each day in the hot tub with those views was just perfect. Lots to do in the surrounding area as well which is an added bonus. Highly recommended.

Stunning and unique holiday property

Online photos do not do The Sheiling justice, it is in a breathtaking location and the accommodation is first class. The use of the rowing boat and hot tub really do give this a unique edge. Hot tubs can be found at many properties, but not with that view!! Last but not least the building itself - so unusual and well designed. If you are seeking calm and tranquility, surrounded by nature and beautiful wildlife, whilst not compromising at all on comfort or exclusivity, this is the place for you!

Exceptional accommodation and amazing location

The Sheiling is an amazing find, beautiful setting, great accommodation and the private loch was great for wild swimming, boating and fishing. Plockton is a 5 minute drive away and this picturesque village has a great range of amenities, in particular Plockton Shores which has an excellent of seafood. Now we’ve experienced The Sheiling we will be definitely be back for more.

Fabulous place and stunning location

This place will absolutely blow you away it’s stunning inside and out!!!! Had great fun rowing on the Loch. Hottub and firepit table were put to good use!! Beautiful location and ideal for exploring the surrounding area and all the cracking walks. Martin was a great host too making sure all was good when we are arrived and during the stay too Would definitely recommend and hope to be back again real soon

The Sheiling is In a class of its own

Everything about the Sheiling is just beautiful - the unique build, fantastic location and stylish and well equipped interior. Stunning views and peaceful location come as standard here. We loved taking the boat out for a picnic, and relaxing in the hot tub looking at the stars. This was our 2nd visit and we're already planning the 3rd.
