We had a truly fantastic week in Glenelg staying in this great house. The views from the sunroom at the front are totally amazing and ever changing in all weathers. The house is big with a very nice garden and has been so well looked after by the owners. It was a great base for our family holiday with our adult kids and our dog. So many fantastic walks on the doorstep. The village of Glenelg is very friendly and relaxed with the pub doing great food and pints. Recommend booking in for the Sunday venison roast at The Glenelg Inn. Thank you so very much for such a fabulous stay in your wonderful home.

Great location

A fabulous property with great views over to Skye. Perfect base for exploring this area of the Highlands. Beautiful countryside all around and a nearby local ferry service.

A perfect location

The property was exactly as described and in a wonderful location to travel around. The views were stunning and the owners were very helpful.

It was really lovely to meet Alan, Arthur & Billy. Three charming & considerate gentlemen who were a bit unlucky with their car troubles while in Glenelg.

What a wonderful place

You are spot on with it, as Glenelg is a lovely tranquil location, though offering multiple options for walking & climbing the local Munros or canoeing or boarding on the beautifully clear waters around the bay. Not forgetting the fishing of course. We look forward to seeing you again.

Fabulous Spot in a Beautiful part of the World!

Our family stayed at Tigh-Na-Camus for a week as part of a family wedding celebration. The cottage was a perfect place for us and Myra is one of the best hosts we have dealt with. A lovely house with beautiful views of Skye in a wonderful part of the world!

We stayed in the cottage for 2 weeks in July 2025 and had a very comfortable holiday, partly exploring and walking the different spots across the peninsula, on southern Skye and in Kintail and partly sat just watching the world (and the dolphins) go by from the super sun room. This is such a great find and particularly helpful to be allowed to bring our dog

Great house and location

A more than complete house, a fantastic view over the sea, near the pub. Good walking opportunities. We had a great week and would like to return another time.

Lovely cottage to get away from it all

This is the 4th time we have stayed at Tigh-na-Camus. It is in a beautiful location and an excellent place to get away from it all and relax. The cottage is very comfortable and has the best sunroom on the front overlooking the water. Will definitely book again.

A great cottage

We had a fabulous time at this cottage. It was clean, warm, spacious and had everything you need. You just can't beat the location and the views for the sun room were wonderful, whatever the weather. Thank you Myra for a wonderful stay from all of us!

Very restful holiday

Having holidayed in the Highlands for 50 years in rented accommodation Tigh-na-Camus rates as one of the best, most particularly the wonderful sun room with spectacular views. A great way to unwind was just to sit and take in the great scenery.

Thank you Peter for you comment, "Having holidayed in the Highlands for 50 years in rented accommodation Tigh-na-Camus rates as one of the best" That was really lovely to read. We had a lot of interesting correspondence with Peter prior to their arrival due to storm Babet and the severe flooding down south which meant they couldn't arrive until later. Fortunately for them we ourselves were due to be in Tigh-na-Camus the following week for a wedding. We delayed our own trip to allow them the possibility of some extra days at the end of their holiday. Thank you for leaving Tigh-na-Camus so tidy for us, which was much appreciated and hopefully we will see you again in the sunroom enjoying the view.

Beautiful Glenelg!

Perfect location to explore the area. We enjoyed the sun room immensely: watching dolphins, seals and even a whale. We fished for mackerel, swam, kayaked, made friends with sheep and had campfires on the beach. Absolutely perfect!

Great place for a holiday

This house is fab. Clean, tidy and warm. Great sunroom on the front where we spent most of our time. Beds comfy and kitchen well stocked with everything you might need, even a slow cooker! Location is also wonderful, looking across to Skye and also down the sound. Also a bonus of a decent size garden which we got to use as it was sunny whilst we stayed!

Calming and cosy

Despite some wild weather at the start of the week, Tigh na Camus was cosy and warm. We will miss the stunning view. The property has everything that you could need. We hope to return next year. A stunning place.

Rejuvenating week

We really enjoyed our week in your charming house, which is well located, very clean and perfectly equipped. A real haven of peace. We would also recommend Glenelg Inn and the small grocery shop which is very helpful. Thank you again for your kindness on our arrival.

Tigh na Camus

This is a lovely cottage overlooking the sea in Glenelg. It has a wonderful sunroom on the front where you can sit and relax. The property has everything you need and was clean and spacious. We will definitely be returning.

Thank you Beverley for your lovely review of Tigh-na-Camus. We do try our best to make it as nice as possible for our visitors. We can't guarantee the weather as we are in the Highlands and the west coast but at least you will be comfy & warm in Tigh-na-Camus and the sunroom is just the spot to sit in if you do get rain

a cosy home at the sea

A very cosy home at the sea. A great view to the Isle of Skye - forever changing with the weather. We much enjoyed the Glenelg Ferry, watched sea otters and seals, got friendly with some of the sheep, did some hiking in the neighborhood and on the Isle... It's a great place to be!

Perfect

Another fantastic holiday in Glenelg, this time we celebrated my 40th birthday and I proposed to my girlfriend (she said yes). First time in this particular house and I have to say, it was perfect. Lovely big garden for our dog and beautiful views of the bay and Skye whilst in the front room. We’ll definitely be using this house again. Thank you so much.

Tigh-na-Camus had everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

Tigh-na-Camus was very clean,warm and beautifully presented. Lovely sized kitchen which was well equipped with everything we needed. In the evenings, after a visit to the glenelg pub, which is a five minute walk away, we sat in the sun room looking over to Skye until dark, it's a beautiful view. We will be coming back to Tigh-na-Camus and will highly recommend it.

Fabulous holiday

The house was just perfect. Beautiful setting and very comfortable and well equipped house. The owners have been very thoughtful about what people require. The conservatory just made it. Even in the changeable Scottish weather it was relaxing just sitting watching the wildlife. Had a magic week

I am so glad that Fiona and her group had a good holiday as the weather was indeed mixed but she is correct in that sitting in the sunroom watching the waves crashing onto the shore literally across the road is fascinating. Beautiful Glenelg

Tigh-Na-Camus is a fabulous property the views from the sunroom are amazing. The property is very clean and the hosts have provided everything you need. Just bring along your food and whatever drink you may fancy. We were a party of 6 and the bedrooms were comfortable an clean. There is lots to see in the area, get your walking boots on its lovely. We will be back to stay in Tigh-Na-Camus very soon highly recommend a stay at the property and visit the beautiful Highlands

Idyllic location - stunning stunning views

Great time had by us all during our stay - four adults and our dogs. The cottage is an ideal base for exploring the Scottish Highlands. It was lovely to wake up and go to sleep listening to the water lapping in the Loch. The kitchen was well stocked with cutlery, crockery and lots of cooking essentials. We ventured to Skye a couple of time using the Glenelg to Skye Ferry - some spectacular scenary. Lovely meals in the Glenel Inn. Would highly recommend and would visit the cottage again when visiting the Scottish Highlands.

A peach of a place in a fabulous location

Having stayed in numerous self catering cottages over many years, this has to be one of the best that we have stayed in! The cottage is in amazing location with wonderful views of the Isle of Skye across the water. The cottage itself was amazing, it had everything that you would ever wish for and more. To add it is well maintained and spotlessly clean which is a credit to Myra the host, who kept very good communications with before, during and also after our stay. I would honestly recommend this property to anyone I know. Myra thank you and we will most definitely becoming back.
